The college is not up to the mark, but you will get NITian tag line.
Placements: There are no placements, especially for Masters students. However, only a few IT companies came for B.Tech students. That too, you must travel to sit Siliguri, NIT Silchar. There are no placements for M.Tech students. As an M.Tech student of this college, you can't expect placements for the 2016-2018 batch.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is there with distortion. The labs are very bad for M.Tech students. The medical store is there on the campus. The doctor will come weekly once or twice in particular slotted time. For sports, there are three grounds. The new ground for cricket, volleyball ground and badminton ground. There are sufficient classrooms for the large strength of students. Mess food is very bad. There is no separate canteen in the campus. If you want anything, you must go to the near village, Ravangla.
Faculty: There are no sufficient faculty for students. In each department, you can find hardly 2 to 3 PhD professors, remaining all are M.Tech passed out faculty. The teaching quality is also not up to the mark. The student to faculty ration in my department is around 100:6. The teaching quality is average.
Other: Yearly two fests are organised by the institute. The campus crowd is very less. Half of the seats are vacant seats only. The connectivity is very poor because it is totally a hill area. Only one SNT bus is available in a day at 07.00 am to Siliguri. The college has a very beautiful campus. The atmosphere is very cold. The temperature is always below 10degrees throughout the year.
