B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2024

Disappointed due to faculty, but the hostel and overall environment are good.
Placements: NIT Nagaland has seen a steady improvement in its placement statistics over the years. The placement rate typically ranges between 70% to 90%, with variations across different departments. The highest package is around INR 15-18 LPA, and the average package is around INR 4-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are quite good, and the library, though not bigger, is also fine with some books related to their departments and space for studying. Coming to the hostel, it's very good—comfortable and secure accommodation, ideal for studying as well.
Faculty: The faculty is not that impressive; it's not completely bad but okay. Professors conduct classes, and Ph.D. scholars also teach some classes, but the teaching level is good. Exams are conducted very strictly; failing in regular semesters can lead to supplementary, arrear, and summer term exams to clear subjects.

Review of NIT Nagaland - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: This is the top national college in India. Above 80% students were studied in our college. The highest package in our course is above 25 LPA. The lowest package is below 10 LPA. The average package is 15 LPA. In India, the top international companies are recruited by our course. The top roles are team manager, HR.
Infrastructure: The facilities are excellent and overall college is above 100 acres. Very good in nature and full-speed internet. And classrooms. The quality of hostel and food is excellent and very hygiene. The medical services are also available 24/7. The sports facilities are available.
Faculty: The top verified teachers are teaching our course. They are very friendly, very supportive. The students are ready for projects and industry visits. And the semester exams are very hard and very strict. And full of knowledge by the teachers.
Other: Our course was the best course among all courses. It is helpful for core and software also. And no need to improve anything; it is already well-improved and well-designed. The events and fests are monthly once and full of entertainment and good connectivity.

Quite an awesome academic boosting experience.
Placements: Placement opportunities are available for students taking up engineering courses, the placement percentage might be 30-40% per batch although no placement opportunities are available for the Physics and Chemistry department as they get an opportunity to get appointed only in IT companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is standard as any other standard institute of national importance although some of the departments are still underdeveloped. Hostels are provided for all and the mess is managed by a private management affiliated with the Institute. Food is also provided well, i.e., 4 meals a day for both veg and non-veg. The hostel facilities include fans, no AC, geysers, public bathrooms, and multiple toilets.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified as they all come from a research-oriented institute of national importance. There is quite a diversity in faculty members from across the country and they teach according to national standards. The curriculum is well updated and the students are well prepared both theoretically and practically with the top-notch laboratories and equipment in the state of Nagaland. The difficulty of the semester depends on the particular teacher as they are also the ones setting the question paper for end-semester exams.
Other: I chose to study my master's in Physics at the Institute. It was quite a journey, the atmosphere is always encouraging to pick up books and study, and we were constantly surrounded by research scholars who were our seniors. Apart from the academic hustle, the campus also organizes social gatherings for occasions and festivals, which include all the major religious and non-religious festivals of our country. I thought more attention was needed towards the non-engineering departments like Physics and Chemistry in terms of funding and placements.

Review of NIT Nagaland - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Here is 100 percent placement for the students who are appearing for campus interviews without arrears. Till today, the average package for our passing-out batch (2024) is INR 8 LPA. The highest package is INR 15 to 20 LPA since there are many companies coming to campus between February and April.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connection is good. Now the library is small and is in the administrative block. The two-story library is under construction (from Corona time). Our classrooms are also under construction, just beside the library. Now we are having classes in bamboo classrooms, which are temporary. Medical facilities are available. 24/7 hot water is available in hostels. The daily hostel cleaning is done. sports are conducted every semester football ground was recently constructed.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful here. We can ask any question related to the subject without hesitation, and they will answer us. Semesters are very easy. We can pass easily since it is a grading system and the strength is also very low. The pass percentage for the semester exam is 40%.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2027

3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Not so good placement for civil, but worth it for a good college experience and healthy environment.
Placements: Placement is not that good. For civil, it's very low—around INR 5 lpa, which is very low. In other branches, it's almost the same as in other NITs. It's improving every year, so I'm just hoping civil gets higher too. Many companies, such as Johnson, Infosys, etc., visit.
Infrastructure: The hostels are very good. The mess is good. It's improving every year based on our ratings. Libraries and classrooms could get better. There's room for more improvement. We have bamboo classrooms for now for the civil departments. More department construction is underway.
Faculty: The teachers were good. I especially like the math teacher, though he takes too many extra classes. The exam questions are fine enough, like any other NIT. Just pray you don't get backlogged because they make it so difficult to pass. You might end up with backlogs until the sixth semester if you fail in the first semester.
Other: The campus is wonderful. It is very beautiful, with mountains and hills. Friendly environment, and lots of events are organized. We have lots of competitions and events, including cosplays (for anime fans, you'd love it).

Many companies such as Wipro, PWc, Infosys, Adani, Reliance, Tata Technologies etc. Visit the campus for placements. Students also get internship opportunities at this college.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
