Overall, a decent NIT with an average package.
Placements: There are better placements than some branches. Top recruiting companies are JSW, HDFC, Vedanta, and Tata Steel. The highest package is 37.33 LPA, and the average package is 9.01 LPA. The lowest package is 5.24 LPA. Around 60% of students completed their internships.
Infrastructure: Good hostel room, but the room is crowded with 5 people. Wi-Fi is available but not with great speed, and only one Ethernet per room. Many ongoing infrastructure projects are still under construction. There are many sectors where they can improve and provide a better experience to students.
Faculty: Professors are good with qualifications, but somewhere they are strict and there are a lot of assignments and work given by them. They are helpful, semester exams are good, but there are no gaps given between exams. Courses are relevant according to the demand in the sector.

Absolutely satisfied because of name of NIT and good environment.
Placements: The highest package is 35 LPA, the medium package is 15 LPA, and the lowest package is 10 LPA. We got internships in the 3rd year, and we also find good and helpful seniors in our college. 99.9% of candidates are doing their internship and all got money for the internship.
Infrastructure: Good labs, but classrooms are not so good because there is no microphone in class, and the hostel is good but no option for changing rooms. All the physical things are good, but the food at the mess is bad. Games are available on our grounds, but it's only during the day at night, there's no option.
Faculty: Teachers are the best, and all teachers have a great degree and are helpful. Semester exams are fine. My college pass percentage is 33.33% and it seems tough to give the exam in the first year, but it is not difficult, as so much balance, like money, which is important for us.

A beautiful NIT with decent placement.
Placements: 61 students selected out of a batch of 101 students. The highest package is 22 LPA, the average package is 10 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are BHEL, NTPC, and IOCL. Top roles are power system, control engineer, design engineer, and renewable energy engineer.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good but crowded by 5 people, the infrastructure is good, and the natural beauty is something which makes it 2nd beautiful NIT. Mess food is good, but for vegetarian students, the variety is too low, the taste is not that good, and the schedule is also fixed.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, educationally qualified, and smart enough for difficult questions, but somewhat strict in the classroom and sometimes students from South India face some linguistic problems due to commonly speaking Hindi/Urdu otherwise, the faculty are just great. There is no post of classes.

The college placement is slightly good. The faculty is qualified.
Placements: 56% of students from electrical engineering got placed. The highest package is 21 LPA, the lowest package is 4 LPA. The average package is 10.9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are JSW, NTPC, Vedanta, ONGC, and Tata Steel. The internship percentage is approximately 70%. Some students prepare for GATE exam.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available, but speed is not good. Labs are maintained and good. Classrooms are better, but the medical facility is not available. Library facilities are good. Hostel room is an average one, containing a capacity of 5 boys. Mess food is average. Sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are the best in qualifications and knowledgeable. Some teachers are not better at teaching skills. They help students achieve high achievements and good placement. The college semester exams are slightly difficult, but some students get back on track in some branches.

Good placement in 2025, and facilities are good. Infrastructure is not upto the mark.
Placements: We can say good placement with the highest around 32 LPA, and median package is around 10 LPA - 12 LPA. Top companies are Oracle and TCS. Roles for the students are software developer and many more. In our branch, around 87% of students get placed which is a good thing.
Infrastructure: Our college has good hostel but number of students per room is 5-6 which is too much. Wi-Fi and lawns are available in the room, and they provide good connectivity. Mess food has a variety but taste is average as all the mess thing you know. Medical facilities are provided.
Faculty: Curriculum is quite good. In my branch, teachers are helpful and supportive. They have good teaching skills, excellent knowledge, and experience. The exams are also not that much difficult but you have to study from the beginning. Overall, it is good.

NIT Srinagar : A beautiful college.
Placements: I am from the mechanical engineering branch. I think nearly about 50% to 60% of students got placed from our branch, since the placement rate is good in the mechanical branch. The top roles offered are site engineer and mostly TCS hires, and other companies also come there.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good as it is one of the premier institutions in the Kashmir valley. Almost every facility is provided, be it Wi-Fi, sports, hostel, and labs. I can say everything because it is the topmost engineering college in Jammu & Kashmir and a well-established library is also available.
Faculty: Top-notch faculty are present there, and they are well qualified as well. The course curriculum is relevant as it is the national institute, so there is no problem with the course curriculum. The exams are held properly, and grades are given without any favouritism.
Other: I chose NIT Srinagar because of its location and reviews, and I do not regret my decision at all because it is a nice college.
