Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering

Diploma is a three-year course divided into six semesters. NMIT Bangalore offers six Diploma courses after Class 10, namely Civil Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science Engineering. Admission for Diploma is through Management Quota only.

Admission to Diploma is course is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. Candidates who have passed SSLC or equivalent examination with at least 35% aggregate are eligible to apply for Diploma after Class 10 courses. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission. 

NITTE Meenakshi admission 2024 is entirely entrance based. Admission in all the undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes at the institute is made on the basis of performance of candidates in the entrance examination. NMIT does not accept any entrance exam score for admission in the Diploma level programme as admission in the Diploma programme is made on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in the qualifying examination. Candidates who wish to take admission in the undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes at NMIT Bangalore cannot get direct admission in such programmes as the college accepts only the entrance examinations scores to offer admission in various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Candidates must have to appear either for the National/ State or the college level entrance tests in order to become eligible for admission in NMIT Bangalore. NMIT Bangalore admission 2024 are completely entrance based. Candidates must have to appear in any of the following entrance examination namely, Karnataka CET/ COMED-K/ Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT/ CMAT or NMIT Online Entrance Test according to the programme that they wish to apply for. However, candidates who want to take admission in the Diploma level programmes at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology can get direct admission as the admissions in the Diploma programmes are completely merit based.

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology offers a wide range of programmes at the diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Admission in the undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes are entirely on the basis of performance of the candidates in the entrance examination. On another hand, admission in the Diploma level programme at NMIT Bangalore is entirely merit based.

• Candidates who belong to the Karnataka domicile and who want to take admission in the BE programme at NMIT, are required to appear for the CET conducted by the Government of Karnataka. NMIT Bangalore BE admission can also be made through COMED-K and candidates from both the Karnataka and Non-Karnataka state can apply through this entrance examination.
• The college has reserved a certain number of seats for candidates who want to take admission in the BE programme at NMIT through the management quota. Such candidates must have to appear for NMIT Online Entrance Test. 
• NMIT Bangalore M.Tech admission is made on the basis of Karnataka PGCET rank. However, candidates who want to take admission through the Management Quota can also appear for GATE exam.
• Candidates seeking admission in the MCA programme at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology must appear for Karnataka PGCET or KMAT if they want to take admission through the Management quota.
• NMIT MBA course admission on the 50% of the seats are made on the basis of Karnataka PGCET and 50% of the remaining seats can either be filled through Karnataka PGCET/ KMAT or CMAT entrance test scores achieved by candidates.
