Pros:

* Excellent faculty with a high experience rate
* Good infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, library, and lab facilities
* Strong emphasis on extracurricular activities and sports
* Opportunities for students to participate in festivals and events

* Infrastructure issues, such as poor maintenance and outdated facilities
* Food quality in the hostel mess may vary

Placement Scenario:
While some students reported getting placed in top companies like Wipro and Infosys, the overall placement scenario appears to be limited. The college needs to improve the quality of the teaching.
Placements: 10% of students were placed in our course. On average, INR 3.6 LPA was offered. Accenture is the top recruitment company. Over 10% of students got internships. Our college will be providing placements with various companies. From BCA, Accenture selected 10 out of 40 students to work with their company.
Infrastructure: Our college provides all types of labs: chemical labs, electrical labs, and computer labs. Our college hostel facilities were average. Mainly, our college has good chemical and electrical lab facilities, but computer labs are the worst. Hostel facilities are average for boys and girls.
Faculty: The faculty was very good at explaining things, but they need to improve their teaching methods. In each group, each faculty member is experienced, and they can teach more and more if the students are interested and attentive to what they are saying. Finally, the understanding nature of the student decides the teaching level of the faculty.

Overall, to conclude, Nizam College is a good college for students who come from different districts
Placements: About 30 percent of students are placed in the BCA course, with the highest package of INR 3.5 LPA and an average of INR 3 LPA. TCS, Accenture, and many more  are the top recruiting companies. Many placements used to happen before, but this time Accenture came forward and placed about 30 students from BCA and B.Com. CA in a software role.
Infrastructure: Labs are bad for the BCA course, there are Wi-Fi facilities that provide limited data, and classrooms are just okay. There is a newly formed hostel for girls, including normal and professional course students, and canteen facilities are normal; you can expect proper meals. Basic bakery items are also provided here.
Faculty: Classrooms are okay, teachers teaching quality is average, semesters will be finished in no time, and labs are not properly conducted. Overall, college infrastructural facilities, especially in labs, are not provided properly for students. Even updated software is not there on computers to practice.

According to placements, our college is good because any other degree college won't get placements.
Placements: In 2023, nearly 35 students got placed at Accenture, and some got placed at TCS. In total, nearly 50 students were placed. The top recruiting company is Accenture, which basically observes the communication skills of students. The highest package is INR 6 lacs per annum, and the lowest is INR 2.5 lacs.
Infrastructure: Our college library is really good; here we also collect past-year question papers, which helps us prepare for the semester. For labs, I will give them a 3 out of 5 rating. The hostel is one of the advantages for our college students. Food is really homey there, and we can play all kinds of games.
Faculty: Out of 5 teachers, 3 will be good, having talent and good knowledge on the subject. And we have some programs that make us ready for industry. The pass percentage is nearly 90%. If we prepare well, we will definitely get placed in college placement because it is fully computer-based.
Other: Because it is related to the IT sector, I thought I would definitely have a good career, and I am sure that I will. Our course contains all the subjects of engineering.

Best college for government exams aspirants.
Placements: 1. The percentage of students getting placement is less than 30%. 2. The highest package was INR 4 LPA, and the lowest was INR 1.2 LPA. 3. Only one or two companies visit, like Accenture and Deloitte. 4. No one got any internships. 5. The roles offered were system architect and associate engineer.
Infrastructure: 1. No Wi-Fi is available. 2. Outdated computers and software. Students can avail lab facilities only on lab practicals. 3. Good Library: A huge collection of books for almost any field is available. 4. Hostel food is average. The student union's protest made it worse than average. Will be better in the future.
Faculty: 1. Old and unworthy syllabus: The syllabus used is outdated. You will not be ready to accept any role in the IT industry except BPO. 2. Students can't get any skills: Since the syllabus is outdated, students lack the necessary skills to survive in an IT company. 3. Semester exams are difficult.
Other: 1. I chose BCA because it is a professional course and one can get a good job in the IT industry. 2. The course should have taught us software courses.

It is the best place for government jobs.
Placements: Around 40% of students got placed in top MNCs. The average salary package offered ranges from 2 LPA - 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, etc. Almost 5-8 students got internships in our college. The top roles offered are operation executives and other higher levels.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a good library, and several books are available. It also has a reading room for students. Classrooms are better. Laboratory is not good. The food served in the hostel is good.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent at teaching but some of them are not good. The course curriculum is not good for jobs. Examinations are difficult. If we study before exams then we can crack exams easily.
Other: I chose this course to become a software developer. The best thing about our course is that it has many trending technologies in academics. Attendance is mandatory in this college. Fests, alumni connect, and other programs are conducted in our college.

Q:   How effective is the placement cell for B.Sc. courses at Nizam College?

A:
{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}

Placement Cell Effectiveness

Based on the feedback from students and alumni, here are some key findings:

* Companies visiting campus: Companies like Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and others visit the campus for placements every year.
* Salary packages: While the highest salary package offered is 2 LPA, the average package ranges from 2.5 LPA to 7 LPA.
* Number of students placed: Around 10-15% of students get jobs, and a significant number of Computer Science students secure placements.
* Internship opportunities: Although there aren't dedicated internship programs for B.Sc. students, some students do get selected for internships.
* Faculty support: The faculty provides training sessions to prepare students for interviews and company-specific tests.
* Placement process: Students need to register with the placement cell to access job opportunities.

Overall, while the placement cell seems to make efforts to engage with recruiters and facilitate placements, the effectiveness appears limited compared to other departments like BBA and Chemistry. However, the placement cell does provide some benefits, such as training sessions and exposure to potential employers.
