The college is better than most but lags far behind the best.

Placements: The placements are okay on the campus. A good student with good CGPA or with good extra skills will get a job. However, a number of high paying jobs are less. The number of reputed companies coming is also less. The placement scenario mostly depends upon mass recruiters like TCS and Accenture. If one wishes to get a more than 10 LPA package job, then that's difficult.

Overall, it is a good college to study.

Placements: The placements are very good for those who opt for software. Core companies like Asian Paints, MSIL and Vedanta also visit our college but takes few students. People with 2 backlogs during the drive are not allowed to attend the drive. If you get placed in a company with CTC more than 3.5 LPA, you are not allowed to attend any other companies.

As this is a government college, you can rely on great and good future.

Placements: As for now, the placements are not yet conducted to our batch and our senior batch, it depends on the college requirement, and the campus placement department still has to work on placements. For B.Tech candidates, the placements are very good and pretty sure that the college will provide you with some offer. The placements are not provided for M.Tech in this college, the opportunity is less in terms higher education, and well it depends.

Autonomous government college which is competitive to NITs.

Placements: The placements are offered about 85 percent. Almost everyone gets a job. The student who doesn't get the job because they want to go for the higher study or they are busy in their startup etc. Almost every week you will get a chance to get into a new workshop course. In our batch, some of IT companies like TCS, Accenture who recruited mass people and there were some core companies like Maruti Suzuki, Asian paints, Tata refractory limited, Robert Bosch, etc. recruited 3 to 5 students each for GET...

Good placements in 2017-18.

Placements: The placements in this college were quite well last year along with this year as well. Around 70-75% of the students are believed to be placed. The highest package being 8 LPA on campus & 10 LPA off campus. The average package hovers around 3.5 to 4 LPA and the lowest being 2.4 LPA. There's a placement cell headed by a senior faculty member which is working effectively for the betterment of the students in getting placed. The companies like TCS, Maruthi Suzuki, Vedanta, Thoomri, Cummins, Musigma...

The college is good in everything.

Placements: The placement of our college is good in this year. 44 companies are conducting their placement drive at our college in this year. Many students are placed in this year in various companies like TCS, Wipro, Maruti Suzuki, Amazon and Vedanta. Also, the placement was better in the previous year.

A very good college in overall view.

Placements: There are many placements here. More and more companies come for hiring. All most all the students are placed. But still, a mistake is there that, if a person gets an offer letter from a company, then he should not sit for the next company's drive, but still, they sit. This was what I felt wrong.

It is an average college. The administration is not good, but education provided is average.

Placements: As a civil engineering student, I got placed in TCS. About 20 out of 140 students are placed. Only 3 students are placed in core companies that include Vedanta, Alumina and Subudhi associate. There is a placement cell in our college. They are very cooperative. About 43 companies have come for placement drive this year 2017-2018. In the 2016-2017 session, 72 companies came to conduct their placement drives. Almost 90 percent student has got the internship. 3 students get a merit internship in BDA...

Best government college of Odisha state, but the teaching standard needs to be improved.

Placements: The placements offered in the college are decent. But in instrumentation & electronics department, only few core companies visit for the placement, ie. Asian paints, Robert Bosch, etc. rest by the IT companies. But the placement status is very good. But there is a value of college certificate because it is the government. Many students got selected for off-campus placements.

I am absolutely satisfied with facilities provided by the college and its faculty are really good.

Placements: There are placements here which are quite good. The students here get placed in some renowned MNCs like Microsoft, Robert Bosch, General Electrics etc. TCS is the mass recruiter. For my previous batch, the highest salary was Rs. 25 Lakhs and the lowest was Rs. 2.5 Lakhs. The average salary is around Rs. 4 Lakhs. Around 80 % got placed in the previous year, and the overall placement is good.

Our college needs to improve its placement scenario.

Placements: The placements for the academic session 2013-17 were pretty much normal. About 70% of the students got placed because our batch strength had increased as compared to our seniors. Most of the companies which recruited from our college were from the software genre, and there were just a handful of core companies. The lowest package was 3 LPA, and the highest was 25 LPA (one student from IT). Most of the students were offered the role of assistant system engineer trainee in software companies.

My experience at CET Bhubaneswar.

Placements: The placements are just like other colleges. TCS and Accenture pick up around 300 students and other companies like Vedanta, Asian Paints also recruit students. Other firms coming on campus include now Floats, Robert Bosch, Sankalp Semiconductors, Gupta powers also visit the campus.

Excellent faculty and placements.

Placements: Around 70% of our seniors (2018 batch) were placed in very good companies like Net2source, Microsoft, TCS, etc. with a whopping salary of 3.6 lakhs per annum as the minimum salary. The highest salary is given by Maruti Suzuki in which 8 of our senior students got placed with 9 lakhs per annum. As it is a reputed college, various companies accept the internship letters from us, based on our abilities.

CET is a renowned college, but lacks in providing many facilities.

Placements: The placements of the college are not satisfactory. Only a few good companies visit the campus and hire 15 to 20 students. The others prefer TCS and Accenture etc. The maximum package offered to the students was up to 10 LPA. The average package offered to the students of core branches was 4 LPA. Maruti Suzuki offered 6.5 LPA, Asian Paints offered 9 LPA, and the other core companies offered 7 LPA on an average.

Good government college in Odisha and is good in many aspects, but needs some improvement.

Placements: The placements for this branch is relatively 70% in the year of 2016 to 2017, and in the year 2017 to 2018, the companies are yet to visit. The jobs are mainly offered by IT companies and then by few core companies like Asian Paints etc. The highest package usually for this branch goes to Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month. In addition to this, students are also placed in off-campus placements. The average CGPA of 7.5 to 8 and above is preferable.

Placements: Placements were pretty good in recent years in our college. In 2015-16, around 400 students were placed. Un 2016-17, around 500 students were placed as total students intake was increased so more got placed but due to a large number of students, the placement percentage dropped. The package : In 2015-16, the average package was 3,75,000 and the highest was 35,00,000. The percentage placed: 95%<. A perfect and ideal engineering institution for every aspirant.

Placements: The placement scenario for our senior batch is quite good. The percentage of the students who got placed is about 75 to 80 percent. The average salary offered to the students is 3.5 lakhs per year, and companies like TCS, Wipro, Bajaj, Infosys etc visit the campus. Jobs like junior engineer, data analyst etc are offered. About 60 percent of the students got the internship from the college. No ideas about the stipend.

College of engineering and technology , Bhubaneswar- A review.

Placements: The placements are quite good. We can't say impressive because very few students got selected through placements. Prominent companies like Tata, Maruti Suzuki, Vedanta Stlees, TCS, Accenture etc. One disadvantage is lateral entry students were not allowed to sit in the placement of core companies which makes a way of partiality. But when compared to other colleges our college is far better in placement.

Bad faculty, good placement, average infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Regarding the placement, it scores 90% placements. But most of the companies coming for placement are IT based. The condition of core placement is poor. Companies like TCS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, EIS, TAS, TRL, Godrej and many more are continuing to hire students every year. Other companies like Microsoft, Nowflotes, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, JSL, NINL and many more multinational companies hunts for the best techies.

Companies that visited campus include Tata Steel, TCS, Mindtree, Pradan, Maruti Suzuki, Coca-Cola, etc. Starting from trainees, assistant system engineers, assistant managers, and manager positions were offered. The average stipend was in the range of Rs. 8000 to Rs. 13000 per month.
