Overall, it is an average college with average placements and good teachers.
Placements: Approximately 60-70% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, the average salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies visit our college for placements. No internship is been provided by the college. In our course, top roles offered are system designer, software developer, and tester.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good labs. Classrooms are digitally equipped. In our college, the best place for self-study is the library or the reference center, where pin-drop silence is maintained. There are 2 large-sized playgrounds. The canteen serves tasty food.
Faculty: Teachers are very hardworking and student-friendly. The course curriculum is old. Semester exams are above average. The pass percentage is 70-80%.
Other: This course is good as we will get into both core and software fields. Better internship facilities must be provided. Events are good.

It's the best college for engineering.
Placements: 50% were placed. The average package is 3 LPA. The maximum package is 12 LPA. Wipro, Capgemini and Infosys are the recruiting companies. Maximum students got placed in IT sector. Students are like to crack the entrance exam rather than being placed in private job. Networking job and software job are available in our course. Many companies visit our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, reference for study, library and average food is provided. All sports facilities are available. Many clubs are there. Classrooms are smart, they have green boards, fans and lights. The canteen bill is also low, it's INR 110 per day. The staff of the hostel and mess have good behaviour.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful. We have qualified teachers and good facilities. Extra-curricular activities are held in the college. The semester exam is moderate, it is easy to get good marks. Results are released in 3 to 4 months after the exams are conducted. The difficulty level is moderate.
Other: I chose this course to crack a job in network field. .

Parala Maharaja Engineering College at its best view.
Placements: The placement is very poor in our college, and in the ETC branch, very few students got placed. Furthermore, the salaries for these placements are too low. The highest package was 3.5 LPA, while the lowest was 1.5 LPA. Students were mostly placed in teaching roles. Companies like Tata Power, Mahindra Satyam, and Wipro visited our college.
Infrastructure: Our department has good and high-tech labs, but they are only for show and not meant for student use. Students are not allowed to enter these labs. The classrooms are also good considering the conditions. The hostel is old and has poor infrastructure. Worst of all, the food is tasteless and unhygienic.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and helpful. However, some faculty members are poorly mannered and behave rudely with students. The current course does not adequately prepare students for industry roles, and students are required to take extra courses during their final year to be eligible for placement drives. The semesters are quite difficult to pass for the ETC branch, and the course itself is challenging and demanding.
Other: This is a government college that provides vast exposure to different fields, which is why I chose this course. The courses provide a good basic understanding, but they need to be updated by BPUT. Our college organizes an annual tech fest every year, and various clubs also operate on campus.

Review of Parala Maharaja Engineering College, Biju Patnaik University of Technology.
Placements: Maximum students in our batch are placed. The average salary package is 3 LPA, the minimum is 2 LPA, and the maximum is 5 LPA. Mostly, startups are recruiting from here. Students from here are recruited by MNCs rarely. Roles offered are business development trainee, junior software engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are good. Libraries are also available, where you can get all the books, and you can also use PCs. They provide free Wi-Fi as well. Hostel facilities are decent but not that satisfying. The mess and canteen are good. Medical facilities are not available.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful and good, except a few. They only provide you with theoretical knowledge, not practical knowledge, so you cannot be industry-ready. Exams are not difficult if you prepare well, and the pass percentage is normal. 75% attendance is required.

Pretty good infrastructure and good college for higher studies.
Placements: On campus, 20-30% and off campus, almost 70% of the remaining students get placed. The highest package is 17.5 LPA (in the VLSI semiconductor industries); the lowest package is, I guess, 2.8 LPA; and the average is 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Nowadays, semiconductor-based companies like Intel and AMD and multinational IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty big, good for a studying environment and all the facilities are available, like equipment, etc., for the respective departments. Hostel facilities are okay but the food available in the mess and canteen could have been better and regarding sports and games, maybe it'd be better if our college could focus on more curriculum activities too.
Faculty: Facilities are good, well educated and mature, but we expect them to be more student-friendly and understanding, and the marking system, I somewhat personally think, is quite based. Curriculum events like sports events or teaching events take place once a year but we also expect them to spend some more time on curriculum activities too. And the exam system is pretty good.
