Pillai College of Engineering - The best college in Navi Mumbai.
Placements: Almost 95% of students are placed during the placement. The highest package is around 32 LPA, and the average package is around 4-8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, ONGC, Amazon, Flipkart, etc. The college also offers internships to the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well-maintained. There is Wi-Fi in each classroom. Also, labs have new equipment and devices. There is a library on the third floor, and it has all types of books. It also provides e-books for students to read during travel.
Faculty: The faculty is very good. They are well-experienced and helpful. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. qualified. Also, the course is knowledgeable and industry-ready. Many practicals are also conducted by our faculty for real-world applications. The semester exams of the college are not tough, and most students pass the exams.
Other: I have an interest in mechanical engineering, so I chose this course. Many events are held in our college. One of the major events is Alegria, which encourages students to perform on stage to showcase their talent. Apart from Alegria, many more technical activities are also conducted.

Very dissatisfied with faculty members and attendance system, bad placement in 2022.
Placements: 80 percent of students were placed in placement last year. 32 LPA was the highest package, and 4 LPA was the average package. TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and Reliance Jio were the main recruiters. Almost 80 percent of the students got internships. The 8th sem is only for internships.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi ready. Classrooms are good, and some are smart classrooms. The library is good. The college has hostel facilities. The girls' hostel is near the college, and the boys' hostel is 3 km away from campus. Medical facilities are good. The college organized sports events every semester.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and supportive, and their teaching quality is good. Almost all faculty members have completed their Ph.D. Semester exams are not that difficult. There are a total of 3 exams in a semester: two are internal assessments, and one is a semester exam.
Other: Electronics and Telecommunication has good placement in college. There are all types of electronics labs available, which will make students industry-ready. The campus has its annual fest every year called Alegria, which is the biggest event in Navi Mumbai.

Really need to work upon the curriculum.
Placements: The placement structure actually is still very new for me, as it's just my first year in college. But I do have knowledge about it. The average package is about 3 LPA, and the highest was about 5-6 LPA. Many companies, such as Accenture, Microsoft, etc., have joined in.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very much excellent; in fact, I really like it. But something needs to be done for the classes. It's very comfortable honesty in those steaming classes. Either the facilities are very great, such as the library and labs. The food is really great, and I really like it. Very hygienic and clean. Many sports, such as badminton, cricket, and football, are available to participate in.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful in every way, but of course not every student is seen as that great. The curriculum is pretty much the same, which is being repeated for years now. The exams are pretty difficult and need to be taken seriously. The pass percentage is the same as before: 35 percent.
Other: This course was a bit interesting from my point of view. That's why I have chosen this specific course. Events are never disappointing at Pillai's, because the biggest events and fests take place here in comparison to other colleges.

College organises great events and infrastructure, but placements disappoint.
Placements: Only 10% of students are placed in B. Tech Electronics and Computer Engineering batch 2024. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA and the lowest salary offered is 2 LPA. Top recruitment is from Vodafone India. Roles offered are software developer, data analyst, and cloud developer.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are average, while labs and libraries are beautiful places. No Wi-Fi is provided in college. Campus is also awesome. Pillai College is famous for Algeria, a big event. Quality of hostel is not up to the mark due to food. Medical facilities are not provided in college. Sports like football, volleyball, and badminton are popular in our college.
Faculty: Some teachers are knowledgeable, approachable, and excellent support. But, most lacked engagement and practical teaching methods, which affected overall academic experience. Curriculum was theoretically relevant, covering essential concepts, but practical applications and industry-aligned training are lacking. This created a gap between academic learning and industry requirements, leaving students less prepared for real-world challenges. Semester exams were relatively easy, with a focus on straightforward concepts. Pass percentage of 75% reflected a fair evaluation system, but ease of exams didn't challenge students to develop critical problem-solving or technical skills effectively.

    Choose your college wisely.
Placements: According to my personal knowledge, I guess 60% of students were placed last year. The highest package was 32 LPA and the average package was 7 Lacs per annum. Flipkart, Tata and many other big companies visit our campus to recruit students. 70% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by our college are very good, as they basically provide a lot of facilities required by students. The library is so well maintained and every book is present there for reference. The hostel is also well maintained and the warden is also well behaved. The food is also good in the hostel.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is very helpful and they are well qualified. They solve every doubt of us; whenever we need them, they are there to help us. The teaching quality is also very good. The curriculum provided by our college is helpful for our future job experience. The semester exams are not that difficult if you study and give exams. Try to clear every exam in the first attempt.

    Good academics and infrastructure .
Placements: Placements scenario is good for Computer Engineering. Good number of companies visit for campus placements and a good number of students get placed. This year, 18 lacs per annum was the highest package. Average 6 -7 lacs CTC is offered for IT related fields. You can choose Pillai as it is a good college.
Infrastructure: Pillai has an excellent infrastructure compared to the other colleges in Navi Mumbai. Large and spacious classrooms, AC labs, huge libraries with large number of book available, canteen, corridors, etc. are provided by the college. Large playgrounds are available for the students. College provides Wi-Fi connection in your laptops.
Faculty: As Pillai is an autonomous college, the curriculum is different from MU college and is better as well. It is more focused on core subjects like C+ programming and Java from the 1st year itself. Faculty members here are also good, experienced and will qualified. Exams are organized well.
Other: Other than academics, Pillai has Rangmanch for those who are interested in acting and drama. The college has a sports team and a gym for fitness enthusiasts. Alegria is Pillai's biggest annual fest which is very interesting and attracts students.
