I am dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: About 70% of the students were placed through campus placements. The highest salary package offered was 3.3 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 2.3 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. The top recruiting companies of our college include TCS, L&T and Capgemini.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was very good with two separate libraries for different courses. Labs were well-equipped with the required instruments and computer systems. Classrooms were also spacious and comfortable to stay. The quality of food was good, and the playgrounds here were great for different sports.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college were qualified and had the potential to teach a huge strength batch also. All of them have completed their bachelor of engineering. There were a few teachers who are teaching as well as pursuing other postgraduation. The course curriculum should be updated.

Take Pillai College if you want to learn and have a good pointer in academics and not for placements
Placements: Not satisfactory for ExTC, ETRX and mechanical departments as companies come for computer and IT departments and they allow non-CS/ IT students for the process, but due to the lack of knowledge, the passing percentage of the non-CS/IT students is very less and very few get jobs in those companies. When I was in TE, only HFCL came for ExTC students. Reliance Jio was another company which hired ExTC students. Another major placement was in Capgemini which accepted about 69 students of all branches.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good at Pillai College. They have well-developed workshops. There are good laboratories, but electronics instruments are mostly old aged. They have a well-developed football ground and a maintained volleyball ground. Toilets are well-maintained. They have a digital library. Almost all the parts of campus have moderate speed Wi-Fi connectivity. All computer labs are well-maintained and have good net connectivity. All computer labs have AC. The college has a gym which is available to all faculty members and students. Workshops are good, but instruments and machines don't have precision. Pillai College has an electronics store where any student can go and issue any component for their project, and after completion of the project, they can return it. Talking about the canteen, the college has a pretty good canteen, but the price is a little high.
Faculty: The faculty members in Pillai College are very good. For the ExTC department, the faculty members are very helpful, especially the HOD. He is very frank and supportive. If any student has any idea about any major project, he can directly approach the HOD and can get financial support from the college. The faculty members are very helpful in the class, and they provide sufficient notes in the class itself, so students don't have to go for extra classes and pay extra fees. Here, we don't get much practical knowledge, all we have is theoretical stuff which is not helpful after the college life.
