Really dissatisfied with placement. But good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Before corana the placements are good after that placements are average in our department only small companies will hire. Only 50% of students will be placed. Internships will do by our own they don't provide any internship. The package offered is 10000-20000.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is somewhat is good. Libraries is also available. There were separate hostel for boys and girls. The food is average. The sports and game facilities are good and students are allowed. Students are allowed to participate in competition in other college
Faculty: Faculty are well qualified and they were very helpful in clearing doubts and most of them are Ph.D holders. Teaching quality is good. The pass percentage is 80%. After corona the placement training is poor. Only we can self prepare for our carrier. There is no curriculum relevant
Other: I wished to get ece but in tnea counselling I got only EEE. In
EEE engineers are in demand by 2035. Govt.
Scholarship will be provided will be informed to students. Symposium will be conducted every year. Fine arts day will be conducted .cini actors are invited for fine arts day. Campus surroundings were good.

It is a good college for engineers.
Placements: Almost 60% of students got placed in our college. Only very few students got placed in the best positions. I had not got the placement. Our college provided many opportunities to attend many interviews.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the library was good. Classrooms were good. All types of books which were relevant to subjects were available in the library. The library was neat and pleasant. The hostel was below average. The food served in the hostel was excellent. Students who can adjust can opt to stay in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers were sincere at teaching, but they do spoon feeding. Their teaching quality was good. Their coaching and classes were very good. They made students to study. This course was for 4 years. We had 8 semesters, and we had to write 51 papers for the exam. Mentors were very good.
Other: It is the best engineering college in Nagercoil. We will get a good reputation if we study at this college. The hostel and its rooms should be neat.

It is a very good college. It is the best place to get you a degree with zero backlogs.
Placements: About 80% of the students from our course got placed in companies, and now the placement percentage is improving. Top companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, etc., visit our college for placements. For the mechanical engineering course, Hyundai, Mahindra and Mahindra and also overseas companies are coming for recruitment.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in our college are very good and spacious. The lab is equipped with all the machinery needed for the course practicals, and we can make use of it. The building infrastructure is very good, spacious and compact. The office staff members are also very cooperative. The laboratory also provides us with practical knowledge, which is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive, and they treat us like one of them, not like students. The syllabus is excellent, but it should be updated. The teaching and the learning materials give the basic knowledge about what we are doing along with practical knowledge, which is awesome.
Other: Our college is awesome. I miss my college campus and life.

It is not a good college. There are better colleges which offer good facilities at the same fee.
Placements: Almost 70% of the students got placed. This college doesn't offer good courses. Top recruiting companies of our college are TCS and Infosys. Internships are not offered in this college, so we have to do it our own from outside. Top roles are not offered here. There are far better colleges for selection, so I suggest to opt for it. I suggest not to join here for a better future.
Infrastructure: Hostel food is very bad, and they don't give much importance to sports. Medical facilities are not good, and there is no Wi-Fi on the campus. Mobile phones are also not allowed. Students can't get out of college without parents. Hostel rooms are bad, and I have a very bad experience.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and supportive, and they help with all doubts you have with fast response. The course curriculum is not relevant. They give importance to studies only but not for practical knowledge.
Other: I have chosen this course because I can have enjoyment in mechanical engineering. Students always study daily subjects and try to participate in sports.

It has good infrastructure and placements, friendly teachers, and safe transportation.
Placements: Many students got placed in the IT field, and the placements for our course are less. However, our college offers placements from other fields to us. Some of the mechanical department companies choose our stream students also, and we are trained for coding.
Infrastructure: In our college, there are both indoor games and outdoor sports. Many students visit other colleges to participate in games and win prizes. There are separate hostels for both girls and boys with good food and security. There is a mess for hostellers, and a separate cafeteria is available for both girls and boys.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are qualified better and friendly. Some of them are doctorate holders, and they also include students in extracurricular activities. In our course, a site visit is needed, so our college provides an industrial visit to improve students skills and knowledge.
Other: Our campus is the most gorgeous with transport facilities. Every year, cultural activities, symposium, campus visit, etc., are organised. Our college also gives importance to extracurricular activities.

Absolutely dissatisfied. Poor management, faculty and quality of education.
Placements: They charged Rs.5000 from all the final year students and made it mandatory for us to pay that irrespective of getting placed or not. They conducted such useless placement trainings where in the college staffs come in with aptitude books, write the question on the board and also solve it copying from the book. These guys have a dedicated placement team and cell which tries to bring companies to the campus. They also take you for off campus placements. Most of the companies coming in for placements are tier 2 and tier 3 and these include UST Global, CSS Corp, Cognizant, TCS, Reliance and IBM. Most of the students will be taken in for BPO or testing. For EEE and Mech, Petrofac and Trans General are the companies which come in. They also got the people from SMART Training institute to provide coaching on aptitude tests. Around 30% of the students got placed in my batch. The highest paid salary in INR was 4LPA and the lowest was 1LPA.
Infrastructure: Choosing Ponjesly college was one of the worst decisions that I made in my life. The management is terrible and the staffs are mostly very bad.
They have good lab set ups but they won't let you use it.
There is a library but the girls were not allowed to step in at all times.
They say that it is a co-ed but it is such a lie. They are such narrow minded, educated illiterates and they make your life a hell.
There are n number of cameras staring at your face for no reason and just to see if you talk to someone.
No Wi-Fi available.
There are so many irrational restrictions that will suffocate you.
The classrooms are big and nice. They make the boys and girls sit miles apart and talking to your opposite gender classmates is not allowed.
If you do, they create an unnecessary scene and damage your image and raise questions on your character.
Girls are not allowed to go to the hostel and take rest if unwell, there are separate staircases for boys and girls, the sports competitions are conducted separately conducted for boys and girls, there are absolutely no cultural events, girls staying in the hostel can't close their windows, there are no plug points in the hostel rooms. You can't even use an ironic, vapourizer or induction stoves. You've to eat what they provide and the food is pathetic.
Girls are not allowed to even step out of the hostel door in the hostel premises.
Phones are not allowed, absolutely no touch with the outside world once you're in.
They have one landline and 2 coin boxes. They do not allow you to call for more than 2minutes rs.2 (local calls) and rs.5 (STD calls).
You are not allowed to make outgoing calls from the landline and these phones are available only for 2 hours.
There were around 150 girls in the hostel at that time and all the parents call on that landline. It is kind of a lottery if your parents are able to get the line. You're still allowed to talk only for 2 minutes.
These people are so narrow minded that they do not allow you to talk to your own sibling or family members on campus if they're of the opposite gender.
I had 3 cousin brothers studying with me at the same time in Ponjesly.I have never spoken with them in the 4years of my campus life.
You're not allowed to choose a faculty of the opposite gender as your final year project guide. You're not allowed to enter the opposite gender staff rooms as well.
You're not even allowed to see your own college campus.
You're not allowed to go out of the campus at all.
There is absolutely no medical facility available but they claim to have one, that's a lie.
Faculty: Ponjesly can never make students industry ready. All that they can do is make you mug up the text books beyond limits and that way get you a good score. But you'll never know that the subject is, unless you put in your own efforts to learn and gain knowledge. They charge you in thousands for standard author books and provide you with a binded book with Xerox copies of only the content that's necessary for an 8M or 16M question. Their only motto is to get marks and their approach is mugging up. They will torture you if you can't mug up. There are very less number of experienced staffs and most of them are fresh M.E. Graduates from the same college. These people are hired at low salaries and do not know anything.

I went to this college only because due to some family issues, I got late for my applications to the other colleges and this was the only option left for me as my cousins were studying here at that time. I would never ever recommend this college to anyone and studying here was one of my the worst life decisions. They won't even refund your refundable deposit and cheat you of that money. I never got my caution deposit back.
