It is a great college with good placements and quality education.
Placements: Most of our classmates with 8-9 CGPA are placed in good companies like Bosch. At the start of the 3rd semester, they ask us about our choice of higher education or placement. According to our choice, we will be split into groups. According to our credits earned, we will be selected for the companies.
Infrastructure: It is one of the best colleges with advanced laboratories like CNC, 3D printers, Fanuc robots, etc. There is also an e-yantra lab for robotics, which has advanced development boards like the Raspberry PI and Firebird kits. They also have a high-speed network of 1 Gbps.
Faculty: We can't expect a clear portion and the timetable will be a bit irritated for some semesters. I felt difficulty in mathematics was a bit hard. We have a complex calculus. Some teachers will be kind and jolly, but some will be strict or rude. According to me, odd semesters will be free, and even semesters will be hard.

This is about the college and its features that can be experienced.
Placements: In the current batch maximum of students are placed and are in intern interims in their 8th semester. Caterpillar and Citi Bank have recruited from our department. Everyone got internships in their placed companies and fee startup except one who had a course to complete. Data analyst and software developer are the job roles offered.
Infrastructure: The labs are very good and are provided with a lot of facilities in our college. They also have some robots and arms which can be used for research and study purpose. The hostel is well-maintained and the food is one of the best compared to other colleges in Coimbatore. The participation in extracurricular activities is most welcome.
Faculty: The teachers' behavior may depend according to the department we study. All the teachers are experienced and are useful for research. The curriculum is also average but every department must study C or C+ language. The study also makes us industry-ready. The semester is also good and the problem asked are making us think differently.
Other: I chose this because I was more passionate about automation. I am in NCC and is manageable with my study. The events are also interesting and competitive. We are also provided with scholarships.

Very much satisfied because of the opportunities provided here.
Placements: 80% of students in my class got placed. Out of which, 35% of people got placed in core industries such as Robert Bosch, Caterpillar, TVs, FANUC and L&T. The remaining 45% of students got placed in IT companies like City Bank, Wipro Technologies, TCS, CTS, Accenture, and E&Y. The highest package offered is 14 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 4.5 LPA as this is a tier-1 college.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available to apply the concepts practically. Due to covid, several senior faculty left the college, but our department is recruiting new faculty now. The canteen food is very reasonable, and the taste and quality of food are very good. The hostel mess food is very good, and they follow all the covid norms.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly, and we can reach out to them at any time. They explain the concepts very well with practical examples. The knowledge they provide is enough, and it depends on our interest to learn more. The pass percentage is 50%. Semester exams are very easy if you are attentive to all the classes.
Other: I'm currently in my final year (2018-2022). I chose this course because I wanted to be unique from others. It's an emerging field that deals with all other engineering domains. Already our department has taken a step to improve the course by revising the syllabus. The robotics and automation engineering association conducts lots of technical and non-technical events throughout the year. In addition to this, all other clubs in the college will conduct many events and cultural activities.

I am satisfied with this institution, which gave me lots of exposure to robotics and automation.
Placements: During our batch, 87% of the students got on-campus jobs. Almost 70% of the students had two offers, and they also got a chance to visit lots of research labs and industries. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA from Caterpillar, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA from Infosys. Top recruiting companies of our college are Robert Bosch, Caterpillar, Benz, TCS, and Craftsman Automation.
Infrastructure: The robotics department had a world-class automation lab, and our college provides a lot of hands-on experience for students. You can access any lab at any time. There are experienced lab assistances to assist you at any time. I liked hostel life in PSG. Food is the best part. PSG offers two different cuisines, i.e., south Indian and north Indian.
Faculty: Almost all the teachers were doctorates. They were enrolled in highly funded government and international projects. All the professors and lecturers were easily approachable and friendly.
Other: PSG was the only engineering college in India to offer a robotics major.

There were tons of opportunities on the campus, and one must use those, and I loved my hostel life.
Placements: In our class, more than 80% of the students got placed in the IT companies like CTS, TCS, Infosys, Accenture with the salary of 3.5 LPA. But for the robotics, we didn't get any core companies. Only a few them got placed in the robotics-related companies like Fanuc, Robert Bosch. In this course, we were unable to get the in-depth knowledge in any specific area as it is a multidisciplinary course. We just studied the basics of EEE and the mechanical, but the companies expected more from us. Most of the companies even don't know about this course. Most of the students got the internship in the final year with an average stipend of 5K to 8K, and we also got the internship in the abroad. If you want to get placed in a good company, you have to maintain your CGPA above 8. The placement cell is good but only if the companies need the robotics engineers.
Infrastructure: All the labs are equipped with the international quality equipment. They have got the labs from Danfoss for the centre of excellence in energy, Siemens lab for plc, Fest lab for pneumatics, Fanuc lab for CNC and robot, and Lego for small robot building. The library holds more than 1.5 lacs of books. We can get the educational CD's, competitive exam books, story books, magazines etc. It has the OPAC system was we can search for the books. At once you can get six books, and we can keep the books for 16 days. The canteen is good, and The classrooms are also equipped with the projector. This college ranked national level number one in the best industry like the campus category. They have their pump, mechanical parts, and manufacturing industry inside the campus. So we can get the industrial exposure also. They have the nono technology lab. The hostel is good according to the fee we pay. It has a big playground and good sports teams such as cricket, football, basketball, kho kho, sepak takraw, tennis, and there is an indoor stadium for basketball. The Wi-Fi facility is not good enough. In the hostel, they have a library, recreation hall, gym, etc.
Faculty: This is a new department, and we are the 2nd batch. The faculty members are also new for this course. So, at first, we were struggling with syllabus and placements, but now, it is good. Still, they have to improve the syllabus, especially in the control systems, electronics, MATLAB, and ROS. Our HOD has a good link with the industrial people so that it will be helpful for the placements and the internship.
Other: Every year, they conduct the tech festivals named techfest, hostel day, etc. They also conduct the cultural, tech music, and there are more than 15 clubs such as entrepreneurs club, etc. They run their PSG community radio, which allows the students to give a speech, to sing etc. The alumni association events are conducted on a regular basis on the campus.
