Review of MBBS life in RGKMCH, hostel, canteen, fest, etc.
Placements: It is an MBBS course so everyone will get job and before that, an internship happens in our own hospital. Students earn 35k per month in internships. Later, you have to prepare for NEET PG. Later, you can join as junior president and as house president.
Infrastructure: The library is air-conditioned, big and accessible to all. Labs are well equipped with microscopes. For anatomy, enough cadavers are given to each group. Inter-college cricket and football competitions are arranged every year. Our college has 4 canteens, all of which are affordable and provide good food. Veg and non-veg, everything is available. Classrooms are cozy and air-conditioned.
Faculty: Our professors in all departments are very helpful. They arrange mentor-mentee programme. Passing semester exams is not mandatory and is also not difficult. You have to score 50% above in total to pass. Professors take viva in physiology subject to make us viva-ready. They also arrange chart presentations, etc.
Other: MBBS is a very promising course. It is very respectable in society. Our college has the annual academic fest Lobelia, the academic fest Therapeauo, freshers party Metamorphosis, foundation day, Saraswati puja, etc. Armaan Malik came in 2023 in Lobelia. Scholarships are provided to needy students.

Completely satisfied by work culture and study method.
Placements: There is no concept of campus placement in our medical college. After MBBS, out of 250 students, 80-85 students get house staff positions within our own college, and the rest get house staff positions in other colleges or hospitals. Some get a PG seat at the time. Not a single student remains unemployed after passing MBBS until he or she decides to prepare for PG.
Infrastructure: Our medical college is small compared to other medical colleges in Calcutta, but everything is there, so it feels a little congested here. Wi-Fi is present in the library. The classrooms are modern. A modern class with a high-quality projector is present. All health departments are there. There are two huge libraries. There are many hostels, separated for seniors and juniors as well as boys and girls. Hostel mess food is not that good in comparison. There is no football ground on the campus.
Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good. In medical college, students can work easily in a hospital after passing college; the semester is quite difficult but less so than the final exam. More than 90 percent of students pass.

RGKAR, the place of excellence in medicine.
Placements: 50 percent of the students get placed in house staff positions. The remaining can work in a private medical hospital with a decent package varying from 12 LPA to 25 LPA. There is no such campus placement, as it is a medical college. The roles offered are those of a physician.
Infrastructure: The labs are decent, the infrastructure is good, there is plenty of lecture theater, a huge auditorium, and a library. There are four canteens there, and sports and gaming tournaments are also organised on a very regular basis. Hostels are also neat and tidy and uphold the standards of the government. Medical college.
Faculty: The teachers here are amazing, highly qualified, and very approachable. MBBS is probably one of the most relevant courses in today's time. The integration of patient integration into the course does make the students industry-ready, and they are fit to treat patients as soon as they leave college. 2 semesters and 1 professor. Exams are taken every year, which is moderate with a passing percentage of 50.
Other: I chose this college and course because of my passion for medicine.

The course provides us the with the best opportunity to gain knowledge about the medical Science and apply it for the benefit of the society and what's better than gaining a titles before your name (Dr). The best thing about the course is to get a first hand experience about the human body and it's function. The course is absolutely good and I don't prefer to improve anything about it. The teaching style can be improved by making the course modules more practical based, so that the students get more interest in their course. Our College has the best M.Ed fest of the Eastern India named LOBELIA which is held in the month of may which is a 5 days event. Our college also conducts a media -fest called THERAPEUO which is a 3 days event where students get a hand on experience on all the clinical aspect of the medical Science which is conducted by all eminent doctors and faculty members from all over the country. The government of West Bengal has many scholarships scheme for the students which are being provided by the college. Apart from the academics part the students are well active in the extra curricular activities. We have various dance, music, drama and sports club which conducts workshops and various intra and inter college competitions.
