It is a comparatively good engineering college with average placements.

Placements: Placement is the ultimate goal of colleges nowadays. RMD engineering college provides good placements, as the college is located near Chennai. Lots of tier 1 and tier 2 companies used to visit the campus for placements. Most of the students got placed in the software industry from my batch.

Apart from these, day 1 companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HCL also visit the campus. Almost all were placed with very good package. Placements: The placement percentage of our batch was 50%-60%. The placement rate of our batch was declined when compared with the placement rate of our previous batch, i.e., 70%-80%. Dissatisfied with the faculty, but placements and infrastructure are good.

Placements: Placements in the college for students was based on the only CGPA but not on knowledge. Even the students have the knowledge and are interested towards big companies weren't allowed to go because of their CGPA. Companies that visit the campus were pretty average as they don't give exposure to the business world.

Placements are good. Most of the faculty members are well-experienced.

Placements: Placements of the college were good. Nearly 3,000 students got placed. Around 80% of the students were placed successfully. Infosys, TCS and Wipro were the companies that interviewed students. We were offered roles of test engineer, system engineers, etc. The placement cell even helped the students who didn't get placed by forwarding their resumes to startup companies.

Good placements even in recession time.

Placements: My college has very good placement record. I can say, my batch 2013-17 faced few difficulties in placements because at that time the IT Industry wasn't hiring Freshers. But our college did a great job in pushing many of us to multiple MNCs with very good salary stack. Many of us were offered roles of project engineer and in managerial posts. Over 80% of our friends were placed and our seniors,90% of them got placed. It boosts us during our placements.

Placements: The placement is very poor in this college. Many companies will come to this college for the placement, but they will recruit only 1 to 5 students. More than 1000 students will attend the interview in a single company. So only placement is very tough in this college. The bulk recruitment companies like TCS, Infosys will recruit only 100 to 150 students, and more than 3000 students will attend the interview in these companies. Good for placements, but bad for knowledge and college life.

Placements: RMD Engineering College is known for their placement records. Till 2017, their placement records was great around more than 90%, but this year, due to IT recession, the placement is bit tough. Also, there are very fewer core companies recruiting from this college. Almost, many companies coming here are IT based.
