Is B.E./B.Tech at RVITM Bangalore a good choice?

Based on various reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what stands out:

    * Infrastructure and Facilities: RVITM has a decent infrastructure, with modern classrooms, well-maintained labs, and amenities such as Wi-Fi, smartboards, and libraries.
    * Placement Opportunities: With a strong connection to RVCE, one of India's top engineering colleges, RVITM offers promising placement opportunities. Many students have been placed in reputed companies, with packages ranging from 5 LPA to 45 LPA.
    * Faculty: Reviewers praise the faculty for their knowledge, experience, and friendliness. Many professors have Ph.D.'s from reputed institutions like IITs and NITs.
    * Curriculum: While some students find the coursework challenging, others appreciate the relevance of the syllabus to industry demands. Practical exposure is emphasized, especially in the final years.
    * Campus Life: RVITM has a small campus, but reviewers describe it as lively, with regular festivals and recreational activities.

    However, some concerns arise regarding:

    * Limited Exposure: Some students feel that the college is relatively unknown compared to bigger institutions, potentially affecting placement prospects.
    * Competition: Due to the smaller intake of 300 students per year, competition for placements may be lower, but it may also limit networking opportunities.
    * Hostel Life: Reviews suggest that the hostel food could be improved, although the accommodation itself is generally comfortable.

Overall, while RVITM faces some limitations, its unique strengths strong faculty, decent infrastructure, and promising placement opportunities make it a viable option for aspiring engineers.

A review of the college, faculty members, and environment in which I have completed my 2 years.
Placements: The number of students who got placed from our course is 80% and above, still, some seniors are getting placed and the percentage is increasing. The highest salary package offered is around 35 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 10 LPA. Few top recruiting companies are Swiggy, PhonePe, TCS, etc. I don't have any idea about internships but recently, our batch of students got placed in a big company. However, the interview was tough so fewer were recruited.
Infrastructure: Department has all facilities for students to excel and all books which are required for the course and also for extra topics which student wants to learn more about. Since I am not living in the hostel, I can't say much about it, but my friends say it is okay to stay there.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive and are highly qualified. Most of faculty members have Ph.D. qualifications. They support students in participating in extracurricular activities as well as in hackathons and other college events. They even help students in getting internships.
Other: I chose Computer Science and Engineering, since it is trending and most companies are referring to this itself.

Pretty satisfactory with the peaceful atmosphere.
Placements: All of the students in my batch are yet to attend placements. The highest package was 21 lacs per annum in my course. The average is 6 lacs per annum in my course. Almost 90 percent of the students get internships at companies like Google and Wipro.
Infrastructure: The students of RVITM are provided with good Wi-Fi with relatively high speeds. The canteen is located in the basement. It has a pretty big eating area and provides tables for the consumers. The menu has a variety of foods. Apart from the normal foods, many snacks are also sold.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified individuals with a thorough understanding of the subject. They are very helpful. Apart from the main curriculum, the students are also taught different things, like how to work with Arduino. There are also many clubs that help students develop skills.

Faculty is good, bad placements for 2025, campus crowd is good.
Placements: Placements began in the month of August and less than 35 students have been placed out of 120. We were told it is due to bad economy and politics. The highest package was 24 LPA and the lowest has been 4 LPA as of now. Average is 8 LPA. Companies like Oracle, Accenture, PhonePe, Cognizant, Athena, Honeywell, etc. have come. Roles offered were mainly software engineer, software developer, and IT trainee.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the college but it's not as strong. Labs are well maintained and equipped with necessary equipment. Library is good with access to many academic books. There's a good number of classrooms to accommodate all the students with a smart board along with a normal chalk board. There's also a lecture recording facility where recorded lectures are posted on the app for students to access throughout the semester. There's a canteen in the basement which is okay overall. Serves all kinds of food like idli, dosa, fried rice, chats, Gobi Manchurian, etc. There's a small basketball court and a medium-sized field for football, cricket, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, with the majority holding PhDs. Also, most teachers have published papers in journals and conferences. They are generally helpful and nice. The curriculum is VTU-based. Mostly it is good, however some subjects are added that are not useful for engineering students, like Biology. There are 3 internal exams per semester called CIE for 50 marks, which are easy generally. Final exam, i.e., SEE, is also generally easy, and model papers are provided. Length matters more than content in exams. Passing marks in SEE are 35/100, whereas in CIE it's 18/50.
Other: There are a lot of extracurricular activities conducted with respect to sports and clubs. Many clubs from different departments are there to join that conduct regular workshops. Fest is usually in the month of August and called Sambhram. Students from different colleges participate in a 2-day-long event. Campus crowd is good. Everyone is generally friendly, there's no ragging.

Review of R V Institute of Technology and Management.
Placements: Minimum 120 students were placed per year in the CS branch. There is a minimum package of 4 LPA and the maximum package is 40 LPA. Till now, a lot of companies came there, like Wipro, Tata Motors, HAL, and HMT. Minimum 10 to 15 students got internships in individual companies and there are lot of chances to get high internships with high packages. There are a lot of things they taught us, like how to get internships. That's all about our college.
Infrastructure: There were very highly prepared classrooms with advanced technology and the labs are also excellent and the library is too much good I have ever seen. They provide the facilities not free, some cost is there, the hostel is very good, the rooms are also better, and mainly the food is very nice; it tastes like home-made food. Overall, it is excellent .
Faculty: There are highly educated lecturers there; they completed Ph.D., M.Sc., and other degrees. The teaching level is good for the newly added students; it looks a little bit hard, but day by day they will understand everything. There are fewer courses there, so that's why they can focus on every one and make them ready to face the interview. It's not difficult; it depends on the student; they will work; it's almost easy, and the passing percentage is 35 out of 100. It will be reduced for making some calculations by lectures. I don't have any idea about this.
Other: I chose this course because from it I can get easy internships and this is the best course that I heard. No, there are already better things about the course. The events and festivals are very good made by the college, but the campus is a little bit smaller than other colleges but its okay; it has connectivity with a lot of companies and campus selection is also very good there.

Our college infrastructure may be small, but the knowledge we get inside is as large as the Amazon.
Placements: For CSE, it's above 85 percent, and the pass percentage is 79 percent. 70 percent of electronics students get placed in our college. Top companies like MNCs SENSEMI, Accenture, Infosys, and Wipro are the top companies for internships in our college. VLSI is the top role we get in our course.
Infrastructure: Facilities in our college are very good. There is a very fast Wi-Fi connection. Labs are maintained exceptionally. And the lab instructors are very knowledgeable. Cascadi heard that even the hostel facility is awesome. I don't stay in the hostel, so I don't know much about it. There are also good ground medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very much well-known except for a few. But they are very much interactive with students. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry-ready. It’s very difficult in our college; the way our college conducts examinations is next level.
Other: I chose this course because I can go towards software and hardware as well. As I said, the best thing in our course is that we go towards software and hardware. They also conduct culture events and also electronic-based events .

Moderate placement success with opportunities for improvement.
Placements: I am studying in my 3rd year B.E in ECE. I joined in the 2022 batch. Even as per official data on my college website, from my branch, out of 40 eligible students, 25 students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 29 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.7 LPA. The average salary package offered is 11 LPA. Some students got placed in the core branch of the software. Students got internships.
Infrastructure: We have good lab facilities. There are software skill labs like Matlab which many colleges do not have. The lab instructors are equally qualified as our professors in the aspects of the lab. The college hostel charges about Rs. 1,68,000 for one academic year. We have bus facilities.
Faculty: Like every college, I can give a mixed response but some of them here are even GATE qualified and students not being eager in their classes. However, they are using technology. Here you could get recorded classes that you could access. Even if you are in the final year, you could get access to your first-year topic. Also, teachers are helpful as they suggest courses and new skills. Though many say the VTU syllabus is outdated, through internships, courses, and workshops, they will train you. Honestly, if you learn and understand concepts, you will find internals very easy. For externals, they would suggest what to do and how to prepare.
Other: I chose this course because of the brand name RV. I wish the campus would be large.
