It is the best college, but the electrical department is the worst.
Placements: We did not get any placement, but the companies visited our campus. We were not selected, but the students of other departments got selected. Placements for electrical batches are the worst. Don't take admission in EEE and EC branches.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best infrastructure. The campus has good atmosphere for studying. Labs are good. Hostels are available. Halls are good and neat. There are honey bees in the college, that is the only negative point. Good water and food facilities are provided.
Faculty: Faculty members for the electrical branch are the worst. It will be best if some teachers are replaced. All the other departments have good faculty. Teachers in the electrical department lack confidence. They don't have any knowledge and also don't know how to behave with the students.
Other: Ithiha is the event conducted in the college.

Overall, it's an average college with the best infrastructure.
Placements: There was only one placement drive conducted for the mechanical department and that too by a financial enterprise. They collect fees regarding placements and take no action for that. There were placement drives at other campuses too, and the department faculty members failed to inform the same to the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very attractive. There is free Wi-Fi all over the campus, but the use of mobile phones is not allowed. The hygiene is well maintained. The campus has an excellent canteen and a cafeteria. Much less extracurricular activities are conducted because of the unavailability of space.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was average. We got a little industrial exposure. Some of the faculty members just come and teach to make sure that they are doing their job and nothing else, and the other faculty members are very helpful.
Other: Itiha is the national techno-cultural fest organised by the organisation. It was a very successful one in the past few years.

Studying in this college was a nice experience.
Placements: The college provides placement training and also conducts a few seminars about placements. But, there are no placements. No one has got placed in any company from the last 2 years, especially from the mechanical engineering department. The college has a placement officer, and the management collects Rs. 2,000 from each student every year in the name of placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is excellent. The main building is 9-storeyed and has lift facilities. There are many buildings, and the mechanical department has a separate building. There are unique desks and benches. All classrooms are under CCTV surveillance. There are a cafeteria and a pool. All the labs are available. The campus has a small place for playing volleyball. A huge library is available, and it is very useful. Meals provided in the canteen are very good.
Faculty: Faculty members have either M.Tech or B.Tech degree. They all are well-qualified, but there are no good orators. Faculty members use laptops and projectors to deliver lectures. Photostat notes are given. Industry exposure is not provided. We have done many internships and industrial visits on our own.
Other: A technocultural fest called Itiha is conducted every year. Wi-Fi facilities were available earlier, not now.

The college is good in terms of infrastructure but not placements.
Placements: Placements were not provided for the students of our batch and our senior batch. Placements should be provided to the mechanical students as well. Students who clear all the exams should be allowed for placements. The salary offered for freshers is Rs. 10,000 per month. Mainly, IT companies visit the campus. Students have to find internships on their own. The college has an active placement cell, but it is not at all useful for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Free Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus. Labs are very useful for students and have highly expensive equipment. Classrooms are good and comfortable and are under CCTV surveillance. A huge library is available for students. The college should encourage students to enhance themselves in sports and games.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are well-qualified and friendly. They provide a lot of technical information. They used powerpoint presentations to teach. We get some more technical information through industrial visits. The student-faculty ratio is good. We shared our project ideas with the faculty, and they gave us proper instructions.
Other: A lot of fests should be conducted in the college. Itiha is the famous inter-college technical and cultural fest conducted in our college.

Absolutely satisfied due to faculty and infrastructure but disappointed with the campus placement.
Placements: I did not get any placements from this college. Though I have graduated with 7 GPA, this college did not provide me with a job. In my senior batch, 2-3 students got selected in Wipro company and Kitex company. They got placed at Bengaluru and the salary offered is about Rs. 25,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is big with a great campus. Wi-Fi facility is available but not to the students, and classrooms are great with cameras all over the place. A big library is available with all books. The quality of labs is great. There is a very good canteen, and the hostel is big and clean and very strict.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable. Besides internal exams, they conduct tests every week, special tuitions also available, and there are a lot of faculty members available, student-faculty ratio is about 6:2, this course is useful since they were able to teach and guide us through various situations.
Other: Ithiha is the cultural fest that takes place almost every year. Besides this, various other cultural and tech fests are also conducted. Sports are held on very strategic ideas.

Placement Cell for BE/BTech at RIET Kerala: An Overview

Unfortunately, the placement cell at RIET Kerala appears to be ineffective in placing students in companies. Despite claims of providing placement training and conducting seminars, no student has been placed in a company over the past two years, specifically from the Mechanical Engineering Department.

Here's what students have reported:

* Lack of Placements: None of the students have secured placements in any company during the last two years.
* Unrealized Promises: Although the college collects INR2,000 per year from each student in the name of placements, the promised services seem to be unfulfilled.

It is essential for prospective students to consider these facts before choosing the college. While the institute may boast of excellent infrastructure and other amenities, its inability to secure placements for its students raises concerns about its effectiveness in this regard.
