RGIT doesn't provide you any placement opportunities.

Placements: Placements in the college are quite decent. The average salary package offered is 2.5-3.5 LPA as per industry norms. Direct-I is the highest payer with an offer of 8 LPA, and they look for good students. TCS is a mass recruiter, but nowadays I heard that they recruit hardly 20-30 students from RGIT. Placements basically depend on your academic percentage. You need to score more than 60% marks to attend placement drives. No companies visit the campus to hire the students of the branches like mech...

Overall, the college is average.

Placements: Placements during my tenure were average. TCS and L&T Infotech being mass recruiters took around 70-100 students from the college. The rest depends on the students as some other median companies visit offering the packages between 2.4-3.7 LPA. But, the problem is placements are available only for computers and IT students whereas EXTC can fit in half-way. There are no placements for mechanical and instrumentation students from college. I heard from juniors that nowadays (2018), CS and IT student...

Teaching of staff in Instrumentation department was satisfactory, but placements is the big issue.

Placements: Placements in instrumentation department are absolutely 3-4 %. Placement for IT and Computer engineers are decent but not up to the mark. Only 2-3 core instrumentation companies came and only 4 of my friends got placed. Placement department was not even trying hard to approach companies.

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai.

Placements: Hardly 2 companies related to mechanical engineering field had came for placement and 4 students out of 90 got placed in on campus placement. However many IT companies had came and recruited most of IT, computer Science and EXTC branch students. T&P cell is for the name sake in college.

I would give 4/5 to faculty, 3.5/5 to infrastructure, and 1/5 to placements.

Placements: The placements offered are pretty good for the computer science and IT branch. The companies like TCS and L&T do recruit for the mechanical. The profile offered is IT. Other than this, there is company which visit only for the mechanical students. In my time there was Technimont ICB.

RGIT - It is a good college but not the best.

Placements: The placements are very rare in this college. Big MNCs are not visiting the college. Only Infosys visited but didn't take the students in the bunch. Other placements were not impressive. Only Infosys and TCS visited the college, but many of the students were unplaced and didn't get a job. All the students wasted much time by looking for a job.

The college is average and not much satisfying. The infrastructure looks only good from the outside.

Placements: Placement for our batch was not that good. The batch which passed out a year had comparatively a good number of students placed. The highest salary offered was 12 LPA, but none of our college students got selected for that. Quantiphi offered a good package of 4.5 LPA and also hired four students from our college. Majesco, NSDL, Rave Technologies, Cabbage, India Ideas, Vista Technologies etc were some of the companies that visited our campus.

You will have the best days of your life here.

Placements: Placements in this college are good. Many MNC's come here for recruitment, but the only thing is, you will get placed in IT companies only. There are no placements for instrumentation students in core instrumentation. The students only get placed in the sales department of instrumentation industry, that too, it's rare. The same goes for EXTC students.

The college has a decent infrastructure and every gallery on each floor has a view of the sea. The library is also good enough and has a decent collection of books and magazines. Some labs are average but some of them are the worst. The toilets here are sometimes broken and filthy. Good teachers are leaving the college because of politics between the teachers and some rude, arrogant and unqualified teachers are ruling the college, and discrimination is rampant among the students. the lab assistan...

Pros: 1. Location 2. Social life 3. Quality of students Cons: 1. Worst placement 2. Extra-curricular The placement for mechanical engineering is really very low, even below 10%. Also the college doesn't entertain students participating in extracurricular activities like SAE. And finally, there are a lot of worthless seminars on higher studies which students are already well aware about.

The infrastructure is impressive. Computer department faculty members are very rude except HOD sir. College campus recruitment is good. 60-70% of student from computer department gets placed every year. In short not so good college. But infrastructure is nice.

Established in 1992, RGIT stands among the top engineering colleges in MUMBAI. Though the likes of VJTI, SPCOE and KJ are preferred on the academic front in mumbai circle, RGIT has made its own name considering all round results. With the 2014 batch of mechanical engg seeing highest package of 12 Lacs (HALLIBURTON Ltd) there has been an increase in the companies coming for campus interviews in recent years. The students from this institute have received job offers from companies like Halliburton...

Faculty is extremely disappointing, with no knowledge whatsoever in the respective fields and expecting students to be Einstein. A dragged on compulsion for attendance. Infrastructure is good but let's face it walls aren’t going to teach you. The crowd and campus life is good. Faculty is not really supportive of sports and other extracurricular activities. All in all would not recommend it to anyone.

The first thing one is sure to notice when he/she enters the campus of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RGIT) is the impressive academic building. There is ground available near to the college for outdoor activities such as cricket and football. The college has comfortable classrooms. The professors are strict when it comes to academics and students are permitted late admission up to five minutes post the commencement of the class. The college canteen offers a wide variety of food (both v...

Good teachers. A little not so good administration. Good location. I feel a better industry experience if given can motivate students to be more productive. Also, the staff is co-operative but you have to take the lead in reaching out to them. The courses here are good.

Not so good infrastructure pretty average college.

Placements: No core companies arrive to the branch. Each student who wishes to sit for the placements Have to sit in for it companies. So there's a lot of competition for a limited amount of seats. When mechanical student and instrumentation student have to sit for it company placement.

It is an average college.

Placements: Placements in our college are very good for the computer department and the information technology department. Placements are bad for electronic telecommunications department and also for the mechanical department. Core companies do not visit our campus for mechanical and as well as in EXTC department.

Students join and study at this university and get much knowledge.

Placements: TCS, Mahindra & Mahindra, IBM, Infosys and ISRO recruits students from our college every academic year. Every year, thousands of students get placed in these companies. Record recruitment is done Amar Raja Batteries company in the year of 2014. Students are getting best ranks in GATE exam, so many PSC are recruiting based on GATE rank in MNC and Nava Ratna companies.

it is good for enjoying college life but not for building a good career.

Placements: Placements in our college for 2016 batch were 60-70%. But for 2017 batch, hardly 10 out of 60 students got placed from college. Fewer companies visited our college. Some companies were offering a salary package of 2 LPA for me which is not acceptable. Placements were not taken a big deal in our college.
