I am satisfied with everything provided by the college.
Placements: Every year about 60% of students from our course get placed. The highest and the lowest salary package offered depends upon your interview and the firm. The average salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month. We mainly get a dairy farm, poultry farm firms, Suguna Chicken and Ponlait dairy farms to get placed. Our college provides internships in different places starting from different veterinary colleges, dispensaries in and around Pondicherry and one month in dairy farms and followed by feed mills. Roles like an assistant veterinary officer, veterinary doctor and also inspector at the slaughterhouse are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: Hostels are separate for boys and girls. We have 3 different blocks for girls and 3 for boys, and it was surrounded by a vast range of greenery. The hostel premises contains an auditorium where most of the extracurricular activities are performed. It also has a gym and separate ground for cricket and badminton games. The food served is good, and the boys and girls have the same mess.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are quite friendly and highly knowledgeable. They are available anytime to clarify our doubts. Their teaching quality is good. Professors are highly experienced and respected. The course curriculum is relevant, and with an internship, students become industry-ready. Semester exams are quite medium, which really help us to score good marks on boards.
Other: I have chosen this course because I always wanted to treat animals, and my all-time goal is to become a veterinarian. I feel we need to start clinical practice early because it gives us enough time to get experience and make us feel more confident in the field. We have cultural every year, and it is a 3 days event. Our college conducts inter and intra-college sports events.
