Review of Roots Collegium.
Placements: Hardly 5 to 10% of students get placed from our stream. The salary offered varies from Rs. 15,000 per month to Rs. 30,000 per month. The Hindu, Times of India, Dainik Jagran are a few top recruiting companies which recruit students through off-campus placement. Journalist, Editor, PR manager, film director and Radio jockey are the roles offered. In our course, the highest salary package offered was of 1 lac per month, and the average salary offered was of Rs. 35,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was of Rs. 15,000 per month. Our college doesn't provide internships.
Infrastructure: There is a mediocre lab for Psychology, but there is no studio for mass communication students. We are in dire need for the studio in our college. Classrooms are good with air-conditioner facility. There is no hostel facility provided by the college. Other facilities provided are normal. College should at least set up a studio for mass communication students as it is a basic thing for our course. I didn't know where the library is located in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are good, friendly, caring and they give us freedom which makes us happy, and indeed it also spoils us. Teaching quality is fine in our course. The course curriculum is not good. Teaching standards for our course are not up to the industry standards. Neither the students are ready for the industry standards of our particular course.
Other: I chose this college to be a journalist and film-maker. The best thing about our course is that they included Psychology as one of the subjects and it is good. The things which could improve in the course are industry exposure and in-depth teaching. You can expect an event every week in our college. There is no scholarship provided. Campus surroundings are somehow silent. Our college has many extracurricular activities.

ROOTS- the best at the worst.
Placements: Placements directly from college are next to nothing but a lot of information about companies is shared in college. There are a set of 3 -4 companies that always come and they are not the best. But never worry that you'll be not placed after your course because you will be.
Infrastructure: Not the best ever, every necessary thing is in working condition but the overall campus doesn't exist. The ground is next to nothing and if you want to have food from college it is impossible because the canteen they have at the college is terrible and they will never accept it.
Faculty: One thing good about the college is the faculty, they are awesome. Faculty is great at doing their job and always ready to help and also know very well how to make the classroom an impeccable experience so each and every student and makes sure that all doubts are clear.
Other: Overall it's a great place to learn.

Dissatisfied regarding the faculty members on the campus.
Placements: Our college is providing the placements in the third year for our course in association with the well-known corporate media companies. The placements will be given before or after the completion of the 5th semester. ROOTS placements cell promises the number of jobs in the various industries.
Infrastructure: ROOTS Collegium has a good infrastructure. The classrooms are provided with the A/C facility. The canteen is in the 5th-floor. The college provides the Wi-Fi facility. There is a psychology lab. The food will be available from 10 am to 1:40 pm in the canteen. The college provides the mineral water facility. The classrooms are provided with the projector facility.
Faculty: Some of the lecturers are helpful and knowledgeable up to some extent. The teaching quality is normal, and we can't expect much. They use the board and sometimes the projector. The student to faculty ratio is 50:1. I haven't got any industry exposure. The course curriculum is useful, but we can't expect much.
Other: ROOTS college organises many events and fests regarding the sports and fresher's, and they conduct the event called Capture 2k17 photography competition every year. The college encourages the sports events once in a year.
