    Q:   Is it worth pursuing B.A. at Royal College of Arts, Science and Commerce?

    A:
    {Source: B.A. students & alumni}

    Here's what current students and alumni have to say:

    * Pros:
    + Interesting coursework with a focus on psychology, society, and individual behavior
    + Well-qualified teachers who are dedicated to helping students succeed
    + Good infrastructure, including a well-equipped library, laboratories, and sports facilities
    + Affordable fee structure
    + Opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities and events
    + A secular and inclusive environment
    * Cons:
    + Limited placement opportunities within the college itself
    + Majority of students opt for higher studies or professional courses after graduation
    + No hostel facility available
    + Phones are strictly prohibited on campus
    + Strict rules regarding attendance and academic performance

    Overall, while the college may have its limitations, it seems to be a good choice for students who are passionate about studying liberal arts and want to gain a solid foundation in psychology and related subjects. However, students should be prepared for limited job prospects directly related to their degree and should consider alternative paths, such as higher studies or professional courses. Additionally, students should be mindful of the strict rules and regulations governing phone usage and attendance.

    A place that helps you to discover yourself.
    Placements: This institute doesn't provide placement opportunities for this particular course; the majority of the students in my batch (2020–2021) went for higher studies; some also indulge themselves in professional courses like B.Ed. and MBA; and many could find jobs in BPOs.
    Infrastructure: There's no hostel facility provided here; apart from that, the institute has a well-functioning ICT lab as well as a spacious library with a good amount of informative books; the canteen here is neat and hygienic with healthy vegetarian food; the campus is quite big, which includes airy and spacious classrooms; a basketball court as well as a badminton pitch; and a sports room that Is equipped with various indoor games. The infrastructure here also caters to the needs of the different abilities of the students. The area is covered with greenery, leading to a soothing and fresh environment.
    Faculty: The institute has very well-qualified teachers who are not only Masters of their subject matter but also have a pathetic approach towards the students; they strive really hard to make each and every student efficient. The curriculum is well-fitting and helps the student in their future endeavors; as the institute is affiliated with the University of Mumbai, the difficulty level is totally reliable on the same. The passing percentage is about 80–95%, as the teachers really put in all their efforts.
    Other: I personally selected this course because I found the subject very interesting, and for that, I would like to thank my professor for making it so. Apart from that, the institute hosts various extracurricular activities that help the students showcase their talent, thus also leading to personality development. It also provides for a secular environment and promotes quality through fair treatment for all; it also provides for various scholarships to help the different sections of society. I personally believe that this institute makes you a person of calibre, ready to face the world outside. It is truly a second home for those who are genuinely interested in becoming successful in life. One of the safest places I've ever been.

    Our college has good infrastructure and facilities.
    Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like a library, Wi-Fi, labs, a basketball court, a badminton court, a common room, an indoor games room, etc.
    Faculty: All teachers are supportive, understanding, and professional. They use different methods to teach us by providing PPTs, videos, etc.
    Other: It is a government-aided college. Our college admission is based on a merit list and a minority list. Our college has 2-3 merit lists depending on the seats available for the course. The fee structure is affordable compared to other colleges. Our college is strict about its decorum, from studies to attendance. I opted for this course because of my interest in it. Our course includes all studies from a market flow, society behavior, individual behavior, mental health, and all information about the Indian political system, which is important for our future and provides basic knowledge about the world. Our college conducts many extracurricular activities every month, and teachers try to promote students. Some activities are organised monthly like sports competitions, awareness about mental health campaigns, etc. Every Sunday our college organises treks. Our college has many clubs like NCC, NSS, etc. Beautiful and many different types of flowers are decorated at our college entrance. Many clubs are available in our college.

    Discipline is the top priority here.
    Placements: About 100 students are present in our batch. I don't believe that the packages offered in our course are anywhere above 4 LPA. They have only recently started to offer a full major in psychology. You can't even get into any good colleges if you have a half major.
    Infrastructure: Phones are not allowed on campus. There's no way they'd provide Wi-Fi. The classrooms, canteen and common rooms are average. Sports facilities are average, but they do encourage female participation.
    Faculty: The teachers are good and helpful, but they're unnecessarily strict. The course curriculum is good and surely helps us become industry-ready. Exams are quite difficult, and they won't let you sit for them if your attendance is below or even around 75%.

    It is one of the best colleges in Mira road.
    Placements: Though I am pursuing B.A. in psychology, I am well aware of the fact that the placement cell of Royal College needs to be improved, though the semesters are excellent. If you are someone looking for a psychology major in Mira road, You're at the right place. We have psychology as a double major as well as a single major that is for 6 papers. So, there are no complaints about academics. Apart from this, you'll get a number of subjects to choose from. You can opt for sociology, economics, Hindi political science etc. The fee structure is available on the official site of Royal college.
    Infrastructure: The library, labs, hallways, canteen, and everything is nearly perfect. But the only drawback is phones are strictly prohibited. But we do have an internet section with a good Wi-Fi connection. The food quality is excellent. Royal College has a tie-up with Bhakti Vedant Hospital to provide immediate medical help to students in emergency. The sports section is amazing as well, and there's a huge basketball ground. Most of the equipment is available.
    Faculty: I must say, the teachers are experienced and the best in their fields. As a psychology student, I am impressed with the faculty. The teachers are innovative and motivating. Various activities are carried out to enhance the educational experience, like movie screenings, act etc.
    Other: The college is full of fun. In spite of restrictions, one must find their own way to enjoy as well as educate themselves. There are tons of events taking place now and then, and we have Gyan Manthan, annual day, founders day, mini-events like bird watching, FACC week and days celebration done by each class. There's no way to get bored because of many clubs that exist. There are literary club, FACC, NSS, nature's club etc. I chose psychology because of my own interest in this field, but little did I know how much I was going to love this.

    I am satisfied with our college.
    Placements: There were about 125 students in all batches of an undergraduate course of bachelor of arts. Students who are interested in pursuing higher education can continue and pursue until M.Ed or B.Ed. After that, our college will provide internships as it is combined with a school also.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good in our college. Overall, there are two huge buildings, among which one for the college and the other one for school. There are 3 to 4 grounds on the campus like a basketball court, volleyball court, etc. There is one canteen for staff members and students, and it is clean and tidy. Our college has maintained green surroundings, which are very pleasing.
    Faculty: Teachers here are always available for any query or help if needed. The founder of the college named professor Lakdawala sir is very helpful, and our college gives more attention to girls' education. The fee is also very reasonable so that students of every category are able to pay the fee.
    Other: For students who are willing to achieve particular goals, our college will provide help as much as it can.
