Is B.E./B.Tech at S.E.A College of Engineering & Technology Worth the Investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an analysis of the pros and cons:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure, with modern amenities and facilities (library, laboratories, sports grounds)
    * Teachers are generally knowledgeable and supportive
    * Placement record is decent, with several companies visiting the campus for recruitment
    * Variety of courses and specializations available
    * Opportunities for internships and projects to gain hands-on experience

    Cons:

    * Limited placement opportunities, especially in core companies (around 40%)
    * Some students reported difficulty in finding jobs despite being eligible for placements
    * Quality of placements varies, with lower packages offered by smaller companies
    * Limited research opportunities and lack of industry exposure in certain courses
    * Limited scholarship options for non-Karnataka students

    Conclusion:
Overall, B.E./B.Tech at S.E.A College of Engineering & Technology can be considered a worthwhile investment for those interested in pursuing a career in engineering. While the placement record could improve, the college's infrastructure, teacher support, and opportunities for internships and projects are positive factors. However, prospective students should carefully evaluate the college's strengths and weaknesses to determine if it aligns with their individual goals and aspirations.

Note: These observations are based on the reviews and feedback provided by students and alumni, and may not reflect the entire range of experiences.

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for BE/BTech Programs

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an overview of the placement cell at SEA College of Engineering & Technology:

    * Placement Percentage: Around 60-70% of students are placed every year, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
    * Companies Visiting Campus: A minimum of 5-6 companies visit the college for placements every month, including both startups and MNCs.
    * Training and Support: The college provides various types of training for students, including connect sessions with top MNC leaders, to prepare them for industry requirements.
    * Industry Readiness: While the course may not entirely prepare students for the industry, the college's emphasis on solving real-world problems helps bridge the gap between academics and industry needs.
    * Faculties' Involvement: Faculty members are involved in guiding students for placements, providing valuable advice and support throughout the process.

Overall, while the placement cell faces some challenges, it appears to be effective in placing a significant number of students every year.

If there's no other option of colleges, then you can feel free to join this college.
Placements: The placement in my college is very low, but it is possible to be placed. Since my course (AI&this) started fresh in 2023, and I am the first batch of the course, we can say placements are good enough for good academic students. My seniors were placed in a ratio of 5 in 100.
Infrastructure: Labs are exciting to attend. Hostel is also good for those who expect an average hostel life. Food used to be great. Library is available till 6 pm. Classrooms need to be altered because I used to see some broken benches in a few classes, and fans don't work, but we complain to the management, and they repaired it ASAP.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and teach at a good level. The college is money-minded, so it's not a fault of the faculty members. Teachers teach us from an exam point of view, so they give importance to a few topics and inform us how to prepare for the exam. College is money-minded, like they ask for some money for some small events occurring in college.
Other: I choose this course to master in Data Science and get placed. Faculty members are helpful and kind. There's no fest happening in the college. There are a few small events but not up to college level. There are fights happening in the college if there's any event by the seniors of other departments. College management has to rectify it.

Review of S.E.A College of Engineering & Technology.
Placements: In placements, there is no discrimination among the students. They treat everyone equally, and they gave chances for everyone to participate in placement. As various companies start approaching our campus when the academics begin. The minimum salary package that students got placed in will be 3.2 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Undoubtedly, it's an environment that teaches a lot of things. Starting from dressing style to life skills, we may be able to learn immense knowledge. Sports tournaments were happening in our college at the zonal level, in which students from various colleges participated.
Faculty: Apart from academics, our teachers also conduct events like paper presentations, group discussions, etc. They announce the winners in such competitions and give their own cash as prizes. Sometimes they ask us to take seminars and then they share their feedback in an encouraging way.

The basic information about SEA college of engineering and technology.
Placements: The placements are very poor in this college and only almost 10% of students will get placed with an average package. Very less companies are collaborating with the college for placement opportunities. The highest package was about 7 LPA and the lowest package was around 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average and not modern infrastructure. With poor progress towards the development of the property and the environment present, there is no digital learning and not even basic modern-day facilities towards education are available.
Faculty: The faculty is good and they teach us in a very good manner. Overall experience is average in faculty.

    Your insight through my experience.
Placements: 60% of the students are placed every year in this college. The students who get good marks, get placed easily. Some of the students join internships for 3 months and then get the job. Top companies like Capgemini, Infosys, and TCS offer minimum packages of 4 lacks which go up to 9 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure was good. It was based on an old theme. The facilities available include Wi-Fi, drinking water, playgrounds and hostel along with traveling facilities for the students. There are digital classes and labs in the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are good. They are good with explanations but not too good with experiments which is more important than just copying the study material. The students culture was not good because of the area. The locals around the college created traumatic situations which you may get involved into.
Other: I chose this course in this particular college because of the financial standards of my family. Some of my family members work in this college. The cultural organisations here are too good compared to the other colleges.

S.E.A College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: It's one of the topmost colleges in Bangalore, well known for its placement excellence. Students from SEA College of Engineering have secured higher salary packages of up to 25 lakhs per annum. We also have internship opportunities available during pre-final years.
Infrastructure: We enjoy a healthy lifestyle at SEA College of Engineering and Technology. Cultural events frequently occur on campus, and we continuously learn new things, which helps in personality development. The overall quality of food available in our canteen is very good.
Faculty: Clearing semester examinations is made easier with the guidance of our lecturers. They are highly skilled and professional trainers, always keeping their knowledge up to date. We frequently go on industrial visits to gain practical knowledge and a better understanding.

Sea College true review by a student of final year.
Placements: Placements are good but the packages are very low, around 3-4 LPA, and there are no big companies approaching the college; only some small companies are recruiting. They conduct tests and interviews, but no one seems to be getting selected, and I don't know why.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good and the hostel is also nice; they recently constructed a new hostel which is decent. The course syllabus is good, but the teachers seem to focus only on money. They appear to be taking advantage of students, charging fines and other fees unnecessarily.
Faculty: The faculty lacks sufficient knowledge, and students need to learn on their own. Most of the faculty members seem more interested in making money and are always collecting fees for no valid reason.
