BE - Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2016

Our college has a good infrastructure, but it is not so good at curriculum.
Placements: Placements for mechanical engineering students are quite little. Few students got internships in companies like HAL. All the students had to find a job by themselves as placements were few. The college has nothing more than a regular engineering course.
Infrastructure: There's a lot of space around the college, and it's like a college in the garden. There is a football court, a cricket ground, and a basketball court. Many other facilities like gym, badminton, shooting, etc., are also available on the campus. The hostel is just 10 MS from the classrooms.
Faculty: Some teachers are skilled and knowledgeable. But there are a few people who just come for salary and time pass. The courses curriculum is according to the university guidelines and the internal examinations are as per the semester examinations requirements, which are conducted by the university.
Other: Don't expect high-level teaching or placements. It's our wish whether to learn or not. It is an average institution, and I could rate it as 5 out of 10.

Our college has a good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: In 2020, around 40% of the students got placed. Out of which, 30% of the students got placed in core companies, while about 10% of the students got placed in other domains like marketing, etc. Since this year has COVID-19 pandemic, most of the sectors don't have jobs, so I think 40% of the placements will get placed, which is good in this situation.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is really good, and the campus is very clean and lush green with trees. Our college has a beautiful park, 3 medium-sized playgrounds and one huge playground. There is a huge indoor multipurpose auditorium. North Indian students may face some issues with food because the hostel food menu consists of mostly South Indian food.
Faculty: Faculty members here are well qualified and are very supportive. Our HOD and principal are also very supportive. If you don't pay the fee on time, then you may have to face some problem. However, even in that situation also, HOD will support you. I wish that there should be more industrial visits or at least once a year.
Other: I have an interest in machines, so I have chosen mechanical engineering. For Karnataka students, there are some scholarships, but for students who are not residents of Karnataka state get very less scholarships.

Overall, it is a good college.
Placements: About only 40% of the students from our course got placed in 2020 because placements got affected due to COVID-19 pandemic. The highest salary package offered in 2016 was 9.3 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. TCS and Capgemini are the top recruiters for our course as students from only CS, IS and EC branch got placed before lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. Almost 100% of the students got internships in various government and private companies like DRDO, HAL, ITI, BEML, etc.
Infrastructure: The library here is huge and spacious. The playground of our college is huger than the playground available in colleges of Bangalore. The canteen is average, but it is still crowded with students. Our college supports sports.
Faculty: Faculty members are very much supportive in the mechanical engineering department. They guide you in your problems and solve them. They give a hint to find solutions. Overall, teaching staff members and supporting staff members are good with good teaching skills. Our college doesn't make you industry-ready as there are no such aspects in the syllabus, which is set by the university.

It's a good college for mechanical branch if you have a rank above 40-50 thousand.
Placements: None of my batch mates got placed from college side. Only few placement drives were held, but they offered very low package and demanded a bonded agreement, so nobody was willing to take risks. In the previous years too, not many students have been placed.
Infrastructure: The college spread over across 40-acre land campus having preschool, middle and high school, PUC, nursing, ITI, B.Com, engineering, and many other courses are also offered. Every department has its separate building. The hostel facility is provided for both engineering and nursing students. Fests are conducted once in a year like sports day and college day.
Faculty: The staff in the mechanical branch are good. I don't have much idea about other branches, but the management staff is fine. There were no much students who were onto sports during my days so that I won't comment on that. The labs are just fine with some equipment, and few are not working. Overall, I rate 6 out of 10.

You can join this college and study well.
Placements: I have to tell one thing about the placements in SEA college. For our 2016 mechanical batch, the management did not arrange any placements, and another thing I have to tell is that two companies came for EC and CS that's it, and finally, there are no placements conducted.
Infrastructure: In SEA college, there is good infrastructure and facilities. We have a good canteen with quality food and air-conditioned classrooms and seminar halls. We also have good faculty, and in SEA college, you can learn a lot of knowledge by referring a lot of books in the library.
Faculty: In SEA college, the faculty are good, and the way of teaching and methods are very good. The course curriculum is good, followed by 3 internal tests that they will conduct. We have to score well in the labs and internals. Finally, one thing I have to say, the college is good for sports and learning.
Other: In our SEA college, there is a good planning of conducting fest for 2 days, and finally, the fest is conducted well.
