Is B.Pharmacy at SIPS Worth the Investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Good Placement Record: Over 200 students were placed in reputed companies like Sun Pharmaceutical, Cipla, Mankind, etc. with roles like Quality Control Trainee and Quality Assurance Trainee.
* Well-established Infrastructure: The college has well-equipped labs, suitable instruments, Wi-Fi throughout the campus, and a well-maintained library.
* Experienced Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Many have a background in industry, making them aware of the requirements of pharmacists.
* Industry Exposure: Industrial visits, seminars, and workshops are organized regularly to provide hands-on training and exposure to the industry.
* Festivals and Activities: The college organizes festivals, quizzes, and competitions, which contribute to a lively campus atmosphere.

Cons:

* Low Teacher Student Interaction: Despite having experienced faculty, the interaction between teachers and students could be improved.
* Course Curriculum: Although the curriculum covers essential topics, it may not prepare students entirely for industry demands without additional practice and practical training.
* Fee Structure: While the college has a well-maintained campus and infrastructure, the fee structure might seem steep for some students.

Overall Verdict: Based on the feedback, it appears that B Pharmacy at SIPS is a decent choice for students interested in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical sector. While there are areas for improvement, the college's strong placement record, experienced faculty, and good infrastructure make it a worthwhile investment. However, prospective students should weigh the costs against the benefits before taking admission.

Absolutely happy and satisfied because of good placements, faculty, facilities, campus, and course.
Placements: My college provides placement for students every year. Students get placed according to their skills. A campus drive is conducted every year in our college. Well-known companies like Sun Pharma, McLeod, Glenmark, Cipla, and many more companies conduct interviews and hire students with good packages. 80% of students get placed every year. Internships are provided by the college.
Infrastructure: Our department provides high-connectivity Wi-Fi to the students during college hours for free. Classrooms are very neat and clean and are cleaned every day and also mopped. Classrooms are constructed with shiny and well-painted walls. Benches are clean and sufficient. Projectors and smart TVs are there in every classroom. The library is the best and a very peaceful place for us to study. The library has every book we need and also provides us with books on time. Computers are there in the library for research work. Labs are well-maintained and have every piece of equipment required for the course and also have all the materials, machines, chemicals, and lab assistants for every lab. Classroom windows are so big, which provide fresh air and bright light with a beautiful view from our classroom. The hills and mountains are visible from our classrooms. The classrooms, labs, and the library are really well-developed.
Faculty: Teachers/faculty members are very helpful, calm, and supportive. They are highly knowledgeable and qualified. The teaching quality is excellent. Students can clear their doubts and communicate with teachers without any hesitation. This course prepares students not only for course placement but also gives so much knowledge about other fields too. Within 4 years, we learned so much about medicine, machinery, equipment, chemicals, labs, rules and regulations, and much more. The curriculum is completed by teachers on time. And it makes students ready for the industry and whatever they want to pursue in the future. Exams are taken strictly and in a proper manner. The passing percentage is about 90%.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become a pharmacist. The best thing about my course is that it not only provides knowledge and study about this course but also about various other fields and things such as the environment, rules and regulations, hospitals and their organization, chemicals, equipment, machines, research and development, and many more. The course is really interesting and knowledgeable. Every event is conducted and celebrated. The department has a well-developed and beautiful seminar hall to conduct any program or event. Days are celebrated every year which students enjoy a lot. Campus crowd is not observed so much because the campus is so big. The campus is full of greenery and surrounded by mountains. The network is good outside the buildings. The campus is filled with beautiful trees and statues of different animals, clean roads, and much more. Words can't describe the campus view of our college. Scholarships are also given to students according to their categories. Industrial visits are also taken by the college every 6 months.

Not satisfied with the college placement in 2023.
Placements: The college organized placement for 20% of students getting jobs during campus interviews. Selected students got a good package of 4.5 lacs. Glenmark is a top company but not all students get jobs; only a few whose theory and communication are good. Internships were offered to everyone; 70% got selected for internship but at a low salary of 20,000 rupees for 6 months.
Infrastructure: The campus has infrastructure; there is a bullseye in front of the main building. Two sports grounds that offer intercollegiate sports activities are organized. The campus is well maintained and provides a good canteen and hostel. In labs, all chemical and pharmaceutical machines are available for experiments; there is no internet. Mess food is of average quality. For medical purposes, we have separate rooms for injured students.
Faculty: The course was up-to-date, they provided enough industrial exposure, the facilities were good, the teacher staff were well qualified and the office and laboratory staff were good. Teachers are giving writing staff all day assignments and practicals. Semester exams are easy, most staff asked from college books.
Other: College tuition is nearly 1.7 lacs per year, and there are few opportunities for employment.

Cipla and Mankind came to recruit students.
Placements: According to official record more than 200 placements were done in various recruiting companies including Sun Pharmaceutical, Cipla, Mankind etc. Roles such as quality control trainee and quality assurance trainee were offered.
Infrastructure: Our college has well established infrastructure with suitable labs and required instruments for each subject. The college has Wi-Fi throughout the campus and also well maintained library. The hostel facility is also good offering all required needs.
Faculty: Teaching quality is quite good but not that much helpful due to low teacher student interaction. The course curriculum dose not make students industry ready due to lack of practice knowledge.

The college needs to improve its faculty.
Placements: According to college's official data, it recorded more than 200 placements this year. Recruiting companies such as Glenmark, Mankind, and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries. I'm currently in my last year so I'm not able to provide the exact data regarding placements.
Infrastructure: Our college is in the list of colleges with great infrastructure and campus. It has NAAC accreditation of B grade. The hostel facility is pretty good but is expensive. However, the hostel offers all the required facilities and is wroth the money paid. I was a hosteller and had an amazing experience.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is well known but it needs to improve now. The course curriculum is good and provides lot of opportunities to students.
Other: The college organize an amazing fest which is popular among students of different colleges as well.

Overall, the college and extracurricular activities are the best.
Placements: It has one of the best campuses you will come across in terms of placements. As per my experience, I think it's moderate as no one of us was selected, and on the other hand, not blaming the college, but after Diploma, there are not many job opportunities. So overall, the college is the best. Placements depend on your course too.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, library, and practical labs are good. They are always neat and clean, with all suitable facilities (labs with all the equipment). The campus doesn't have free Wi-Fi. Hostels are very good and well managed.
Faculty: All the teachers give their best and help us well. The faculty were replaced nearly 2-3 times, which might be due to the pandemic, and it affected our study. Exams are held on time.
Other: Sandip Foundation is known for its events and programs. There are multiple programs in the college, and events are like you'd never come across. We enjoyed it a lot.
