It is one of the best of its kind. It is NIT after all, you wont regret studying here.

Placements: The placements for the mechanical branch were not that good at our times, although it was better some year back. Only 4 to 5 companies have visited the college I think. Around 20% of the mechanical students got placed, but the placement of other branches of computer science and electronics & communication was very good. Almost 90% of the students were placed, and the minimum average salary for Computer science engineering was around Rs. 6,00,000 per annum. One of my friend got the highest packag...

Life in SVNIT: All the pros and cons of taking admission here.

Placements: I am currently a student of the 3rd year in chemical engineering department. In 2017 batch of our department, almost 60% of the students were placed in various core and non-core companies. Companies like Galaxy Surfactant, Reliance Industries, Sunpharma, HPCL, GNFC, Wipro, CAIRN India had come for on-campus interviews. The average pay scale is Rs. 5.5-6 lakhs PA. None of the companies had a package below Rs. 4 lakhs PA. The highest package went up to Rs. 12 lakhs PA. Internship recruitments have...

SVNIT, a name that makes you feel numb when you hear it and nostalgic when you leave it.

Placements: The placement is pretty decent. You can land up a job in a software company if you have decent skills and mostly, the CTC is about 8 LPA. Moreover, the internships you secure are good if you maintain a higher GPA. Also from 2017, good companies like Amazon too are visiting and are giving 27 LPA packages. The lowest campus placements are usually 3 LPA. The highest this year was from Amazon at 27 LPA and an off-campus placement of 50,000$ was also given to an MSc in physics student. Which moreover...

Best engineering college in Gujarat with national importance and best for placements and studies.

Placements: My batch had about 60% placements which is low as compared to last year. The highest salary is 12 lakh, the lowest is 2.5 lakh with the average of 5 lakh. Companies that visited are Reliance, HPCL. Navin Fluorine, Sun Pharma, BASF, Heuback, Vedanta, Cairn India, SRf, Mu Sigma, TCS, Infosys etc. They offered GET roles to all of them. All students got internships from the college. All internships were without stipend.

Good infrastructure but can improve on curriculum and placements/internships.

Placements: Good placements in computer engineering, average in other branches. Training and placement cell should work towards internships for students as they complete their 3rd year. Less technical companies visiting the college. Most people in EC got placed with non-technical roles like business analyst, software developer, etc.

It has really very good infrastructure and facilities. I was satisfied with the placements.

Placements: The placements were quite good for our seniors compared to super seniors. 52% of the total department were placed in different national and multinational companies. The highest, lowest and average salary offered were 16.2 lpa, 3.5 lpa and 5.7 lpa respectively. Qualcomm, John Deere, Wipro, TCS, Future First, Rishab Electronics and many others have visited our campus this year. Junior assistant trainee, junior engineers were the roles offered to students. Infrastructure is very good. Dissatisfied beacuse of the placements in 2017.

Placements: The placement of civil engineering branch is very bad. Only 3-4 core companies visited for selection like L&T Construction, Simplex Infrastructure, etc. The number of students placed is 20-25 out of 120 students. Expect civil and electronics, all other branches of the college are very good like computer, mechanical, electrical, chemical, etc. In computer engineering branch, 95-99% students got placement.

Really good infrastructure, decent placements and a great hostel life.

Placements: For mechanical, it was quite decent. Around 50 percent got placed out of which the core to no core ratio was 3:7. Apart from mechanical engineering, computers had really good placements. Only like 6 out of 120 were remaining that too because they wanted to study further or got a better job through contacts.

Worthy college to spend 4 years of BTech.

Placements: Placements of the batch of 2016-17 have been very poor. Only a few people have been placed with a very low package. If the computer engineering department is seen, their package is of a very high value. In civil engineering, a very few core companies visited the college this year, but many non-core companies have taken students with a good package.

Absolutely satisfied and happy. No better environment, good placements and oppurtunities.

Placements: The placement of 2016-2017 is quite low as compared to the previous years. Almost 70% of the students get placed. Highest salary package depend upon branch as in, the computer engineering has the highest package at 25 LPA and the least package can go up to 3 LPA. Many companies visit our campus which includes De Shaw, Oracle, DRDO, Airtel, MuSIGMA, Future first, Wipro, CAIRN, HBSC bank and a lot more. Internships are provided only to third-year students. Placements: Placements are good here in electronics department. Companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Cadence, Marvels SC, Infineon, John Deere, and general electronics are visiting every year. From my senior batch almost 80% got either internship (Job after this) or placed. From my batch 19 out of 36 got internship offer from Intel & still many more companies are coming. While electronics and chemical are below average. Most of the core branches have decent placements. On an average, 80-90% students get campus placements.

Satisfied, amazing campus, best students, best career-shaping college.

Placements: Placements are amazing as it is one of the most famous NITs. In mechanical, almost 95+% students of the batch got placed, that too amidst the global stagnation. The average pay was between 4.5-5 LPA. Most of the attractions were Honda R&D, Maruti, Cairn, Reliance and John Deere. 3rd-year students got internships as well and a large number of them got PPOs.

Some other companies were Deutsche Bank. Endurance, HSBC etc. offered high scale packages too. We also got internships from MasterCard, Microsoft etc.

Placements: The placements of all the disciplines are fairly above average. While each stream has a different placement rate and salary constraint, the salaries vary from 3 LPA to 25 LPA. Companies like Airtel, De Shaw, Phillips, Saint-Gobain, John Deer, Honda, Qualcomm, IOCL, Futures First, Groffers, Affine, Capgemini, Oracle, Cairn India, Wipro, BPCL, Suzuki, Infosys, Sunpharma, TCS etc come for recruitment. Placements: Our college got almost 90% of placements done every year. Many companies come to our college, mainly the IT companies. A few core companies visit our campus as well, and the highest salary for our seniors is about 16 lakhs for the electronics department, and the lowest salary is about 3.75 lakhs. Mainly, the core companies offer management-side role, and a few students got chances in getting an internship from the college side.

Placements: Placements of 2015 were good. As is the case in all colleges the average of CSE students were twice than others. Core companies come here in the mechanical branch. Electronics and communication and electrical engineering see the lowest core companies coming on the campus. On-campus internships increased 400% this year as startups came here to recruit interns along with companies like J P Morgan, Morgan Stanley. Placements: Placements used to be 100%, but due to recession and growth of startups, it's dipping nowadays. It is close to 75%, including non-core jobs. But overall, the job scenario is very good. The highest package was 11.5 LPA which HPCL was offering. Lowest was 3.5 LPA. The average package is about 4 LPA. Now more people are getting internships from the college. Around 30% in companies like John Deere, L&T Power, LNT ECC etc.

M.Sc. was recently started in SVNIT, hence, it is improving every year. New departments are being set up by the institute to bring science up. The faculty is good and all the teachers have great experience in teaching and research background. It's a nice college for sciences as well as engineering.
