SVNIT Surat- a great institute to pursue engineering with growth opportunities knocking your door.

Placements: Placements are quite good in the electrical branch. Almost 80 percent of the students who are eligible for placements are getting jobs. Highest salary offered by the company was HPCL which was 12.2 LPA. Lowest package was offered by Infosys which was 3.25 LPA. The average package offered was 5.22 LPA. Apart from various companies of data analytics such as MU Sigma, EXL Analytics, Affine Analytics, various engineering consultancy companies like Arup India, Technip also visit the campus. SVNIT I think is the best college, with good knowledge gaining platform and also with good placement

Placements: The placement is quite good in this college. It depends on you though. You should have good CGPA and more importantly good knowledge. Very reputed companies come to college including Intel, ISRO, GE, Qualcomm etc. So if you have good knowledge and you have good communication skills, you will be definitely selected.

Always miss SVNIT for its infrastructure, campus and sports.

Placements: Placement of our batch was very high as compared to our senior’s batch. Computer Engineering Department students got the highest placements with higher packages. In our civil batch, 45-50 students got placed out of 90. The highest salary in our department was 6.5 LPA given by Future First, lowest salary offered was 3.0 LPA given by Kotle Patil Developers and the average package offered was of 3.5-4 LPA. In 2011-15 batch, 630 students got placed which was highest placement record till now. Bridge...

Stands upto the reputation of an NIT.

Placements: The placements for my batch are going excellent. Just 10 to 15 students are left in computer, chemical, electronics and electrical engineering departments. Whereas in mechanical, 107 are placed out of 168 in the ongoing placement season and most of the remaining ones are going for higher studies and not applying for jobs. The highest salary was 25.5 LPA to 2 students of computer engineering department and for the mechanical department, it was by BPCL at 11.5 LPA. The lowest was by Infosys at 3.2...

Being an NIT, in the level of any IIT in all the parameters.

Placements: The placement is average. As being an M.Tech student with a civil background, most of the academic institutes come for the placement. They are offering a professor's job with a package of around 40,000-55,000 per month. For other students like B. Tech. and M. Sc. students, they are having a good placement with packages starting from 3.6 LPA up to 12 LPA.

Good institute, good faculty, infrastructure is fantastic, placements are good.

Placements: The placements are good and the CGPA does not matter much if you have knowledge. Many companies and PSUs came every year and hired many students. Companies also hire interns from the third year. The average salary offered to students is 6-7 LPA, and the companies offer jobs in management and technical fields to the students. Nearly 80% students get placement every year, and the highest stipend for interns is 35,000.

Good college to learn and explore knowledge. The college helps for research, entrepreneurship etc.

Placements: Placements at SVNIT are very good. Every year, the number of companies is increasing for campus placements. Placements of all the departments are very good, especially the computer science engineering department. Computer engineering department's placements are 100% and more than 30 students get jobs in more than one company every year. Highest placements from my batch were 75000$(1) PA, followed by 22 LPA(2), 18 LPA(4), 18-10 LPA(15+). The average salary for computer engineering students is a...

SVNIT, 2nd most popular NIT.

Placements: Placement is almost 30-40 % of total strength. Although there are some students who want to go for MTech and other courses. The placement, I can say is quite good. In other branches, it is more than good, especially in computer and mechanical. The average package is 5-6 lakhs. Generally, for civil engineering, L&T is one of the core companies. Lots of other companies also visited our campus, you can see on our website.

An amazing college with great infrastructure and offers good placements.

Placements: The placements for the mechanical specialisation are good as around 100% of the eligible candidates get placed but not necessarily in the core mechanical companies. The average package offered is around 6 lakhs and the highest package in 2016 was around 22 lakhs. The civil engineering and electrical engineering specialisations provide comparatively lower placements.

Awesome experience because of the new infrastructure and green campus.

Placements: Placements were good. Our batch had better placements than that of our senior batch. Many companies turned up for recruitment. Majority of the students were hired by Reliance. Companies like JK Tyre, BPCL, Pidilite, Cairn Energy, L&T, Hindalco, etc. were a part of recruitment. Other institutes such as resonance, allen, etc. also recruited students.

Absolutely satisfied with everything in this college except the way of teaching of faculty.

Placements: The placement in our college is quite good for many years as it is the number 15 college in 2015-16 in India. Around 75% students got placed in the campus recruitment while the rest will surely get off-campus placements. But in the very recent year, the placement in our college dropped gradually. You can say that there are less companies which came for the campus placement this time but this is uncertain, otherwise, SVNIT is very much known for their placements. ...

Placements: For senior batch, placements were better than our batch. But almost everyone got a job. Companies like L&T- ECC and Power, Reliance, Thermax, Hindalco, Cairn Energy, Tata Power, Tata Chemical, Emerson Network and Power, ABB, etc. visited the campus. Apart from that, Future First, Mu Sigma, Exl were among others.

Placements: Placements in my college are pretty good in all departments except the Civil Engineering department. From my senior batch, about 76 people were placed out of eligible 95 students from my department. Computer engineering department offers the highest salary packages among all the departments. Placements: Placements are very good in chemical branch. Several multinationals visit the campus such as BASF, PSUs like BPCL, HPCL, GSFC, GNFC also visit the campus and several pharmaceutical giants like Sun Pharma also visit the campus. Best engineering college in Gujarat.

Placements: The placement scenario is quite decent in SVNIT. T&P cell works hard to get the best of the companies for the campus. There are a lot of job opportunities at the campus. No student who even has an average performance goes unplaced from the campus. Try not to get backlogs through your college life and there shouldn't be any problem with getting a decent company. Surely some work can be done on getting a few more types of job profiles and companies/start-ups which offer a better starting profile. ...

Placements: For Civil Engineering, 60% or more are going for getting jobs from the campus every year. The highest salary is 7 lakh and sometimes it may go to 9 lakh also. The lowest salary is 3.5 lakh. Some core companies and many non-core companies visit every year. For internships, hardly 5-10 students can get internships from the college and the stipend is 4k to 6k.

Placements: A lot of companies visit the campus and the placements are almost 100%. Companies with various profiles and packages visit the campus throughout the year. BPCL,GSFC,UPL, Cairn India, Honeywell and many more companies select students and offer them a handsome package. Generally, the post offered is that of a GET(graduate engineer trainee). Glad to be a part of an NIT.

Placements: The placement is about 70% in civil engineering although there are so many students who want to go for M.Tech, so they are not sitting in the placement. As a civil engineer, we cannot expect 15 LPA as our average salary. The highest would be 10 LPA and the Lowest can be 6 LPA but it is sufficient. A lot of companies are visiting this campus but most of them hire only 4-5 students. Most of the students who are willing to do an internship have got it.

Placements: The placement is good for M.Tech as compared to even a few IITs. In 2015, 60% students were placed in the Mechanical Department with an average package of 5 LPA. A few of them were placed even in private universities. Companies like Tata Technologies, Tata Consultancy Engineers, GIFT, Bombardies were among the few.
