Better infrastructure. Placements are also good.
Placements: Approximately 89 percent of students were placed last year. The highest package offered was INR 44 LPA. The lowest was about INR 8 LPA. There are many labs for our course in electrical engineering. Electrical engineering is a good course to take here. It is a very good college.
Infrastructure: There are all the facilities available on this campus. The hostel also contains a Wi-Fi facility, and the food is also good to eat. Classrooms don't contain AC but we can sustain it. The canteen contains better food. There are many games to play on this campus. There are many grounds like cricket, volleyball courts, basketball courts, etc.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful. They were highly qualified. There knowledge was also very good. The teaching quality was also very good so students easily understood. But the only problem is that the language spoken here is Hindi, which makes it difficult for South Indians to understand.
Other: Good.

You can prefer this college if you want knowledge. Campus placements are good.
Placements: Nearly 20 students out of 140 students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, the average salary package offered is 3.8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 1.2 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are Panasonic, Larsen & Toubro and ERDA. Nearly 40 students got an internship at L&T from our college. Top roles offered to the students are project engineer and junior engineer.
Infrastructure: In the electrical branch, there are good facilities of laboratories which consist of high voltage lab, machine lab, switchgear lab, power system lab, measurement lab and simulation lab. The connectivity of Wi-Fi is poor. The campus is slightly small, but it has a healthy environment. The library has good facilities with a good collection regarding subject books. The hostel is of an average condition. Sports have a good area in our college, and if you take an interest, then you can get till nationals. Canteen is also good, and there are three major canteens. Nescafe is also available. Food quality is good. There is a health centre which has good medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, well-dignified, and most of them have done their PhD. They are very helpful to students. They are guiding us in IEEE research work and other scholarships exam. Teaching quality is the best in the electrical department. The course is relevant, and we get basic industrial training and practice.

Our college has a well-designed curriculum for overall development.
Placements: Placements here were average. Around 30% of the students from our course were placed. The highest salary package was offered by Line Engineering, and it was 3.6 LPA. The lowest salary package was offered by Elmex Ltd, and it was 1.8 LPA. The average salary package offered was 2.8 LPA. Main recruiters for our college were Line Engineering, ERDA, Elmex Ltd, Jacobs Engineering, Coco-Cola, TOTO (Hall Road), Integration Point, Matrix, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has a very developed computer lab with around 100 computers. They are installed with all types of software like PSCAD, Matlab, Multisim, Power Simulation, etc. There are also labs and kits for subjects like machines, basic electronics, power electronics, EMMI, microcontroller and microprocessor. Our college doesn't provide any facility for the hostel, but there are certain PGs nearby. The average cost for PGs is around Rs. 2,000 on sharing basis. Our college was very good in terms of sports and has sports facilities like badminton, chess, table tennis, carrom, etc. It promotes students and conducts a sports week every year.
Faculty: Every faculty member is masters in engineering in respective backgrounds, and they have appropriate knowledge related to their specialisations. The teaching quality has quite deteriorated over time due to the resigning of 2-3 good teachers. New faculty members are also apt, but I would rate them as average. The course curriculum is well designed, and it surely makes students industry-ready. Live projects are conducted, and mini-projects are provided in every semester to impart practical knowledge to students.
Other: I chose electrical engineering. The best thing about our course is its developed laboratories and the curriculum. Our course really improves the practical knowledge of students by providing mini-projects and open-ended problems to students. Presentations and seminars also help them a lot, and our college also conducts mock GD-PI sessions. I wish that more companies should visit, and placement drives should be conducted more intensively. Our college organises a national level technical Symposium named Prakarsh followed by annual function every year. It also celebrates the intra-college festival named Vision and also cultural fest named Spandan every year.

Good facilities and good teaching techniques.
Placements: 1)20% placement. 2) the highest package was 6 lac, the lowest was 1 lac. 3)Line, TBEA came to recruit the students. 4) Engineer trainee is the role offered in the placements. 5)60% got internship.
Infrastructure: Our college has very good facilities like Wi-Fi, Library, reading room. , Sports room, sports ground. Also, some extra activities held in college. It's the best college for aeronautical student in Gujarat. Our college is having good infrastructure, a good environment and good quality education.
Faculty: Course style is good and according to me, faculty is also knowledgeable and very helpful to everyone and teaching style is excellent because most faculty are graduate and post-graduate from IITs and NITs. Practical knowledge is very good and practical knowledge is also better instead of theoretical knowledge. The faculty are very helpful. So due to that is the best platform for learning.
Other: I choose this course because I want to become an electrical engineer.

Value creation in non core segment in SVIT.
Placements: Around 20% students were placed in our batch. Mostly in Line, TCS, ERDA, Cognizant & other local organizations around the town. Students who were flexible enough to work in IT/non core Electrical Engineering domain, had a better opportunities since many IT firms came & many students from non IT branches were selected.
Infrastructure: Campus infrastructure is very unique I'd say. Labs were well-equipped with lab teachers giving ample opportunity to perform tests. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Library had some great books & it helped a lot while I was a student there. Students committee too was very enthusiastic & organized some mega events such as Prakarsh & gave students a great opportunity in every field.
Faculty: Many teachers were exceptional & I'd say they are resourceful. You get to make contacts with senior faculty members & lab teachers. This'd help you through out. But I think SVIT needs to improve a lot on this front since many teachers in the formative years of engineering are not up to the mark, & this is the main reason students lose interests in the subject. Unknowingly these things create cascading effect n the student's mindset.
Other: In this era of Information driven society, I'd rather prefer IT/ Computer courses than core Engineering courses like Mechanical, Electrical & Civil. Although these are very good courses & has tremendous value but when you look at industry as a whole, & if growth is bigger concern for you, I'd suggest IT/CS has better opportunities than ME/EE.
