UPES, think twice before applying.

Placements: Around 90% students in my senior batch were placed. The lowest salary was around 3 lakhs PA and the highest was 10 lakhs PA. Amazon, Microsoft, Dell, TCS etc companies visited the campus. Internships are not provided on the campus as of my knowledge, so they instead go for certification of students.

My experience in University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Placements: Around 90 to 95 percent of my senior batch was placed. The highest package is 16 lakhs and the lowest is around 3 lakhs. Companies like IBM, TCS and Infosys visited the campus every year and even the college is in collaboration with IBM. Seventy percent of students got the internship from the college. There is a good amount of placements happening in computer science branches.

The college has good placement in 2015-2016. There are some additional rules which students are not

Placements: Placement of this college is excellent. Majority of the students get placed. The average package is about Rs. 3 lakhs per annum. The salary offered this year is about Rs. 15 lakhs. Five students were chosen by Microsoft company offering a salary of Rs. 10 lakhs per annum. Majority of the jobs offered were of a developer. The students got placed in the field of management, and graphics development. All the students get the internship form the college.

Absolutely satisfied with the college but not satisfied by the fees.

Placements: No college will guarantee you 100% placement but UPES placement cell gives you a lot of chances to get placed in a good company. They invite a lot of reputed companies such as IBM, Infosys, Dell, Microsoft and many more. I got placed in IBM India Pvt. Ltd through campus placement.

Good Education, improving placements every year. All basic facilities.

Placements: Placements were quite good this year. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Amazon, Commvault Softwares, IBM, LnT Infotech, InterraIT and various other IT companies came for recruitment. Most of the students i.e. approx 90% students have got placed in good companies with respectable packages. Average Salary was around 4-5 LPA with the highest ranging from 15-20 LPA and minimum being approximately 3 LPA. Roles such as generic developer and tester and software developer were majorly provided to the ...

Placement, faculty and location is awesome but dress code and good events are not.

Placements: As we don't have some specific computer science branch, we have specializations like computer science with specialisation in cloud computing, oil and gas, mainframe etc.. The percent of students placed were different for different specialisation, but the overall placement percentage was around 92-94%. Average salary is around 3-4 lakh/annum but there is a huge difference between highest and lowest placements, as in the highest placement will be around 14 lakhs and lowest will be around 2 or 3 la...

Placements are quite nice for CS, infrastructure is average but the location is excellent.

Placements: The placements are quite good, especially for the CS branches. A lot of good companies are visiting the college for the campus placements and this year, the companies are like Amazon that offered around 22 LPA. I heard Flipkart also is coming for the campus placements. 8 students from CS got selected into a company named Commvault System at a package of 15 LPA. So, the placements are around 90% almost every year.

The review of UPES - University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Placements: Our college offers nice placement opportunities, but only a few companies that offer technical roles visit the campus for placements. It's good if you get selected in the first 2 months of the placement season. The companies that visit the campus at the end of the placement season are not that good. Companies like Dell, Nagarro, Persistent, and Amazon, etc., visit the campus, and you have to work hard to get placed in these companies.

This college is fine according to me. It is a bit costly but the education here is better than most of the private colleges in India. The location of the college is good for north-Indian students. Infrastructure is fine and studies are average. College is quite strict in case of studies. Bunking is highly discouraged and exams are of good level.

An environment full of competition. Will feel like school sometimes because of strict attendance and uniform policy. Unlike other universities the crowd is very up to date with industry standards. Faculty is very good. The management is very tough to reach to and sometime feels like an old government office.

UPES is one of the recently renowned colleges of India with its core area as petroleum and energy but due to recent Middle East clashes, the placement is very poor all around. Though nice scenery and atmosphere but poor classrooms just as school classrooms (new ones are in process). The placement department is severely rude and arrogant they won't support you and take you as a burden on them and not as a responsibility. Not worth so much money that is invested.

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun has an incredible track record of placing more than 7000 talented and energetic graduates & post graduates in more than 600 companies of national and international repute. UPES is a good college if you are a student who wants to study and work hard. You will not get anything easily here but will have to work for it. Classes at UPES are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies and presentations. An equal weightage of 50% is given to both internal and external exams. Tests are conducted on a regular basis which can be both, planned as well as surprise in nature. Although surprise tests are not very common but students try and stay as up-to-date as possible in subjects such as Finance and Economics where you won't know when your knowledge is put to test. Students are not giv...

It is a good college. And the placement is average .

Placements: In my batch, the placement rate was quite strong, with around 85% of students securing job offers through campus placements. The highest package offered was approximately INR 15 LPA, while the lowest was around INR 3.5 LPA. The average package for the course was around INR 6-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course included major players like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and Cognizant, along with some prominent startups and mid-size firms. These companies offered roles that spanned soft...

Placements: Top recruiters are accenture, here technologies. The packages this year haven't been that high but cyber security companies have come and taken good number of students. The variety of courses have also had an impact in number of placements in the campus.
