I am proud of University of petroleum and energy studies.

Placements: In UPES Aerospace branch total placement is around 80 %. The highest salary has been offered around 8 Lacs p. a in non-core company. However minimum salary offered is around 2.75 Lacs p. a. I would say average salary in UPES for 2019 branch is approximately 3 Lacs per annum. In 2019 no top company of aerospace visited UPES. Most of placed students got opportunity in new start-up company. I would say it honestly in UPES till now no top aerospace company like Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell even Indigo ...

I am satisfied with the facilities and good placement opportunities.

Placements: More than 75% of the students got placed. In our course, the minimum salary package offered was 2.5 LPA and the maximum salary package offered was 5 LPA. Companies like Samsung Engineering, L&T, Petrofac, Keppel, Total, Technip and Kalptaru are the top recruiters of our college. Students are offered roles like a structural engineer, GET and assistant engineer. Almost 100% of the students got an internship in companies like Technip, L&T, Keppel and Kalptaru.

This college is not at all worth for money.

Placements: About 80% of the students from our course got placed. The lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA and the highest salary package offered is approximately 17 LPA. Reliance, PCBL, Baker Hughes and Wipro are the top recruiters of our course. Process design engineer and a chemical engineer are the top roles offered in our course. Until December, about 11 students out of a batch of 130 students got internships from our college.

It couldn't be more honest review.

Placements: Frankly speaking UPES is not good for placement. I don't know how they manage to show such high percentage of placement on paper every year. Whatever is your branch you will be placed in some IT or Mass recruiter company only with monthly salary around 25k. In AEROSPACE there is NO PLACEMENT. If you want to do Masters or Ph.D. Then it's fine, for job not good at all.

Review of School of Engineering, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Placements: Approximately 50% of the students got placed until December. Many companies are yet to visit our campus for fire and safety. The average salary package offered is about 4.5 LPA, the highest salary package offered by Vedanta Resources is 8 LPA and 7.5 LPA by reliance industries. After getting placements, GET period starts which are for 1 year and after that designation of fire or safety officer role is offered to the candidate. It is a good college only for petroleum.

Placements: I am in first-year, but I got to know about college and placements with our HOD that they are good. This year 91% of the students got placed. Top recruiting companies of our college are Reliance, Baker Hughes, Exxon Mobile, Torrent Gas, Adani Gas, etc.

chemical engineering was fantastic at UPES, but placements were less in 2017.

Placements: About 30 students out of 38 students got campus placement offers. 4 Students had opted out of the placement process. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, but it was very less as it is usually offered in other batches. It was due to a slump in the oil and gas market. Companies like Reliance Industries Ltd, Pidilite, Wipro, Philips Carbon Black Ltd, Energy Dais, Honeywell, etc., visited our campus for placements. High Inputs (fee) Low outputs (Packages).

Placements: In the strength of 48 students 95% got placed on campus. The remaining ones either didn't meet the criteria or were having backlogs. Few top recruiting MNCS were ESRI India, Infosys, Wipro, CGI. The role more or less remained same of technology analyst or developer. 7lpa was the highest, average around 4.5. Internship were mainly in NIO, MapInfo, Heremaps and 100% had internships.

Placements: 1. Nearly about 90% students were placed from the last batch i.e. 2015-19. 2. The highest Package offered in NON-CIT Domain was by ONGC of 18.63 LPA and the lowest being 3.4 LPA by TCS. Average could be figured as 5 LPA. 3. The top Recruiting companies for Chemical engineering are: PCBL, Reliance, DIC, Honeywell, SBO, Exxon Mobil, IOCL, BPCL, ONGC, Essar, Adani Gas 4. Dissatisfied because of college management, academics not up to mark, some good placements in 2019.

Placements: Compared to the last five year, this year's placements of the college has been good in terms of figures about 70-75% batch has been placed but quality of the jobs offered during the placements is degraded significantly. Most of the jobs are sales and marketing profile, the chances of getting placed in a core company are very low as there are only of 2 to 3 companies that come to the campus for selecting only 3-4 students. Though college placements figures are good but the jobs in which the stude...

Review of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Placements: As this is a government administered college, they offer great placement opportunities. Placements for M.Tech students are extremely good for branches like energy systems, petroleum exploration, chemical engineering, etc. For the other specialisations, placements are just decent with the average package offered is around 5-6 LPA.

UPES Dehradun is a good option, if someone wants pursue his/her graduation in the field of Oil/Gas.

Placements: If your performance is decent enough in academics, you definitely get an opportunity to appear for the job selection rounds of core companies. However, majority of the students get placed in the IT sector which does not require much in depth knowledge of the subjects covered in the course curriculum. Almost all my batch mates got placed in various companies. Core companies like Schlumberger, Cairn Energy, Halliburton, Reliance Industries, Total Oil etc. Visited the campus for recruitment. UPES has a great vision for the future, but it needs internal revamping.

Placements: Placements in our college are above average, and I got placed in ESRI India during the 3rd year of my course. I was lucky that I got placed in one of the core companies. But the problem is most of the students were offered placements in different streams other than their core domains such as the IT industry. The salary package offered is the same as the package offered in most of the other colleges. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Since core companies like petroleum-based industri...

Placements: Students of our senior batches are facing problems regarding placements due to the crisis in the petroleum industry from past 1-2 years. The college offers good infrastructure and a healthy environment to study and grow.

Placements: Placements in the college are good, and it also depends on the quality of students. Last year, the average salary package offered was almost 4-4.50 LPA. The placement rate of college is almost 100%. Getting a placement entirely depends on the knowledge and opportunities you get. The college will provide you with opportunities, but you have to make some efforts to take them.
