It is a good college with decent amenities and placements, but the fees charged is high.

Placements: Almost 100% of the students got placed. The highest - salary package offered was 6.4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3.1 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.25 LPA. Wipro, Esri, Cybertech, TCS, etc., are the top recruiting companies. Business analyst, technical analyst, tech support analyst, etc., were the top roles offered to students. Almost 50% of the students got internships from college in companies like ONGC, DRDO, GSI, Mapmyindia, and rest on them got an internship on...

chemical engineering was fantastic at UPES, but placements were less in 2017.

Placements: About 30 students out of 38 students got campus placement offers. 4 Students had opted out of the placement process. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, but it was very less as it is usually offered in other batches. It was due to a slump in the oil and gas market. Companies like Reliance Industries Ltd, Pidilite, Wipro, Philips Carbon Black Ltd, Energy Dais, Honeywell, etc., visited our campus for placements. Roles like production engineer, product specialist, GET, analyst, sales engi...

High Inputs (fee) Low outputs (Packages).

Placements: In the strength of 48 students 95% got placed on campus. The remaining ones either didn't meet the criteria or were having backlogs. Few top recruiting MNCS were ESRI India, Infosys, Wipro, CGI. The role more or less remained same of technology analyst or developer. 7lpa was the highest, average around 4.5. Internship were mainly in NIO, MapInfo, Heremaps and 100% had internships.

Good in Placements, Infrastructure and surroundings but marking scheme is unapropriate.

Placements: 1. Nearly about 90% students were placed from the last batch i.e. 2015-19. 2. The highest Package offered in NON-CIT Domain was by ONGC of 18.63 LPA and the lowest being 3.4 LPA by TCS. Average could be figured as 5 LPA. 3. The top Recruiting companies for Chemical engineering are: PCBL, Reliance, DIC, Honeywell, SBO, Exxon Mobil, IOCL, BPCL, ONGC, Essar, Adani Gas 4. Process engineer, plant engineer, Quality inspection 5. Average is around 7 LPA 100% Students get Internship in Reliance, PCBL,...

Dissatisfied because of college management, academics not up to mark, some good placements in 2019.

Placements: Compared to the last five year, this year's placements of the college has been good in terms of figures about 70-75% batch has been placed but quality of the jobs offered during the placements is degraded significantly. Most of the jobs are sales and marketing profile, the chances of getting placed in a core company are very low as there are only of 2 to 3 companies that come to the campus for selecting only 3-4 students. Though college placements figures are good but the jobs in which the stude...

Infrastructure and Faculty are excellent, the placement is good but the average package is less.

Placements: The placements of our senior batch were good up to 98% of students getting placed in companies like Philips Carbon Black, Vedanta Sterlite, etc. The overall the highest salary of the college this year was 26 Lacs which was given to a student of Petroleum Engineering. The highest package for Chemical Engineering was 19 Lacs. The average salary of students from the college is 5.5 to 6 Lacs. The lowest was 3 Lacs. Review of University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Placements: As this is a government administered college, they offer great placement opportunities. Placements for M.Tech students are extremely good for branches like energy systems, petroleum exploration, chemical engineering, etc. For the other specialisations, placements are just decent with the average package offered is around 5-6 LPA.

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies is the best institution.

Placements: As robotics is still an emerging field in India, it would be very tough for the students to get placed. However, our professors and management are very helpful. They go through each and every possible way for the students to succeed in their career. The management is very keen about bringing some good companies for placements. We also have student exchange programmes with many international universities for higher education purposes.

UPES Dehradun is a good option, if someone wants pursue his/her graduation in the field of Oil/Gas.

Placements: If your performance is decent enough in academics, you definitely get an opportunity to appear for the job selection rounds of core companies. However, majority of the students get placed in the IT sector which does not require much in depth knowledge of the subjects covered in the course curriculum. Almost all my batch mates got placed in various companies. Core companies like Schlumberger, Cairn Energy, Halliburton, Reliance Industries, Total Oil etc. Visited the campus for recruitment. UPES has a great vision for the future, but it needs internal revamping.

Placements: Placements in our college are above average, and I got placed in ESRI India during the 3rd year of my course. I was lucky that I got placed in one of the core companies. But the problem is most of the students were offered placements in different streams other than their core domains such as the IT industry. The salary package offered is the same as the package offered in most of the other colleges. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Since core companies like petroleum-based industri...

UPES - My choice for Engineering.

Placements: Big companies like Samsung, Schindler, Mahindra and many more do visit our campus and around 85% students do get placed before the last semester. Some companies do have a criteria for placements but students usually get placed in most of the companies and every student gets ample of opportunities for placements.

It is a satisfying college for good education, and it is located between the mountain and forest.

Placements: Placements in our college are very good. Mostly, start-up companies are preferred in this college. The main drawback is that the core companies do not visit the campus in a large number. Only a few companies visit the campus for core branches like electrical, mechanical and civil branches.

This is a great place for aerospace. Keep in mind to aim for higher studies abroad after UPES.

Placements: Usually students studying aerospace engineering tend to leave for higher studies abroad. The students going for placements are placed in aerospace sector but not in the core companies. Placement for aerospace is decent. Students having less than 5 grade point average are not allowed to sit for placements.

I'm satisfied with the college. But the college is not up to the mark in some aspects.

Placements: I am a student of the petroleum branch. Placements are pretty good this year. More than half of the senior batch has been placed till now. And from the next year onwards, the placement rate is going to increase for sure. The average salary package offered for the students of the petroleum department was 3.30 LPA, and the highest salary package offered this year was 16 LPA. Esteemed companies like Protivity, Schlumberger, Shell and PSUs like ONGC visited the campus for the placement process.

Absolutely satisfied with the placements and teaching. The college is worth the money.

Placements: I don't know about the placements of other branches, but our HSE department offers 100% placements. Students get placed in good companies with high salary packages. If you aspire to take HSE, UPES is the best college in India. Faculty members take utmost care of the students regarding internships, projects and placements.

I'm satisfied, but the fee structure is high.

Placements: I was offered a salary package of 7 LPA by Byju's which is India's largest educational technology firm. I have been working in Byju's for the last 1 year. UPES invites many companies to the college. A student gets many opportunities during campus placements. The placement faculty are good. There is a pre-placement programme which makes the candidates confident about placements. It also offers a good experience.

Placements: Placement opportunities provided by our college are very good. Many core automotive companies like Maruti, Mahindra, Man Trucks, and Hyundai, etc., have visited our campus for placements. In addition to these, many vendors and mass recruiting companies like Infosys, Tata Tech, TCI, and KPIT also visited our college for recruitment. UPES has an excellent infrastructure and a good crowd.

Placements: Placements are very important for this university as this university offers specialised branches. Many companies visit the college for hiring the students, and they offer good salary packages. Mr Manish Madan sir helps the students to get the placements as he is the head of the placement cell. Most of the students of our senior batch were placed.

UPES-Not worth The money and poor placements.

Placements: Placements for senior batches were not so good earlier on. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was around 2 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4-5 LPA. Due to the poor placements, a few students took part in the campus drives. There is a placement cell, and it is efficient for the students as Mr Manish Madan heads it.

Placements: Students of our senior batches are facing problems regarding placements due to the crisis in the petroleum industry from past 1-2 years.
