Unless you are not getting any other college, don't go for this.

Placements: The placement rate is 70%. The lowest package offered is 3.5 LPA, and the highest package is 13 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Shell, Reliance, ExxonMobil, Baker Hughes etc. Roles offered are reservoir engineer, E&P engineer, production engineer, process data engineer etc. Getting internships is never an issue, as the professors have good contacts, and they take care of these things.

It is a beautiful campus with a good crowd but not so good for teaching and placements.

Placements: Almost half of the batch got placed from college with good roles, mostly in companies like Reliance, PCBL, Jubilant Life Sciences, to name a few. Companies visited the campus as late in May when the semester was all over. PPO offers were also made to a few people of the batch.

Review of School of Engineering, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies.

Placements: Top companies do not visit our campus for placements. The highest salary package offered in our batch ranges between 7-8 LPA. Most of our batchmates are in the fields, and they are not found of computer-related stuff. The salary offered ranges between Rs. 25,000-45,000 per month.

It is a good campus which provides a good environment.

Placements: Placements of our college are good. Every stream has good placements and few students get an opportunity in the big industry and make the college proud. Our college provides 100% placements record in the maximum stream so students can apply in this university and make their future bright.

If u have enough money only then join the college.

Placements: According to the current status of the market, engineering condition in India is not good. As you are going to invest a huge amount you wish to get a good job but these things will not happen. In this college, the avg package is about 4 Lacs and below. If you belong to a business family then don't join the college.

Huge fee pay but no placements.

Placements: The course offers one year of campus academic education and one year of internship in industries. We were about 18 students out of which 17 got their internships in companies like aditya birla, siminfo systems, BPCL etc. None of the students were placed. None of the companies visited campus for M.Tech students.

Good infrastructure and facilities but dissatisfied with the placements.

Placements: The placement procedure up here in UPES is quite hectic. Though the department and placement cell tries its best but still the placements are not up to the mark. The highest package goes up to 5-6 Lacs and the lowest being 2 Lacs. The average package offered is 3 Lacs that too by Sales and Marketing firms and not by the core companies. The top recruiters include Non-core companies whereas the core companies show up by the last semester that took with fewer opportunities. Around 60 percent of stu...

I'm satisfied with the college. But the college is not up to the mark in some aspects.

Placements: I am a student of the petroleum branch. Placements are pretty good this year. More than half of the senior batch has been placed till now. And from the next year onwards, the placement rate is going to increase for sure. The average salary package offered for the students of the petroleum department was 3.30 LPA, and the highest salary package offered this year was 16 LPA. Esteemed companies like Protivity, Schlumberger, Shell and PSUs like ONGC visited the campus for the placement process.

UPES has an excellent infrastructure and a good crowd.

Placements: Placements are very important for this university as this university offers specialised branches. Many companies visit the college for hiring the students, and they offer good salary packages. Mr Manish Madan sir helps the students to get the placements as he is the head of the placement cell. Most of the students of our senior batch were placed.

Review of UPES from a pass out.

Placements: 32 out of 52 students got placed. The placement scenario isn't all that attractive. The highest salary 9lpa and the lowest 3-4 LPA. 5-6 core companies came in 2018, more expected in 2019. Mostly, companies visit campus. Internship: many students go for research internship to IITs and national chemical labs instead of industrial.

The college with a good placement rate.

Placements: The placements of the college are pretty much average. One needs to have a good CGPA and CV to get a decent placement in the core company, otherwise marketing companies remain an option. The highest package offered is 17 LPA and the lowest package offered is 2.5 LPA. The average package offered is around 4 LPA. Core companies like Reliance, Honeywell, PCBL, and Exxon, etc., visit the campus. Marketing companies consist of startups mostly. Around 20 internships are provided by the college, in a y...

UPES is trying to find the balance between academics and co-curriculars activities.

Placements: The placements for our senior batch were okay. Most of the seniors were placed with moderate packages. Companies visit the campus, but only a few students were offered technical profiles. The assistance is provided for getting the internships. Almost everyone got the internships.

Our college has good faculty and placement record, but the industry exposure is less.

Placements: Placements record of the institution is fabulous. More than 94% of the eligible students got placed in 2018, and around 92% of the students were placed in 2017. Almost 91% of the students were placed in 2016. It can be seen that the placement record of the institution is getting better by every passing year. The highest salary offered was 30 LPA, and the lowest salary offered was 3 LPA. The average salary offered was 4.5 LPA. IT companies like Samsung, Wipro, Amazon, Paytm, IBM, Dell, Reliance I...

Don't choose this college if you find any better college with the fee structure of 10-12 lacs.

Placements: Around 70% of the students got placed in the campus placements, but the thing is, only 40% of the students got placed in their field and rest of the students were placed in sales, B2B, etc. It doesn't matter how well you do, as the college has to approach companies which they are unable to do. The highest salary package offered to our batch was 5 lacs per annum, the lowest was 2.5 lacs per annum, and the average was 3.75 LPA. Students were mainly placed in the sales department. Faculty members are above than average and placements are just average.

Placements: Placements are average, 10% of the student will get placement in core (petroleum) companies and 90% of students will be placed in computer Science based companies. The highest packages are offered by wetherford drilling company. Applied petroleum engineering with specialisation in upstream is one of the best branch of upes.

Placements average, faculty bad, fees high.

Placements: The placements are average. 70% of Senior batch placed with package between 3lakh to 7lakh per annum. Average greater than 10lakh in non-cit (non CS branch) is rare. In CS maximum package is till 20 Lacs for extremely good students sometimes but the number of students in CS is increasing so chances are rare. The internship in CS from college is very limited and bad.
