Our college provides good infrastructure, but it lacks placements.

Placements: As a student of Delhi University School of Open Learning, it is very moderate. School is growing but has not developed fully. Placements of the School are not very famous as most of the students opt this university for the sole purpose of acquiring a valid degree. Around 10-20% of the students opt for campus placements. The average salary package offered is around 2-3 LPA for B.Com graduates for the accounting job. The top recruiters shall be among Reliance or even big 4 firms of the industry. H...

I am dissatisfied with the infrastructure.

Placements: About 80% of students in B.Com., got placed. As this is the school of open learning, so there are so many students pass together. The highest salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 8,000 per month and the average salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. Top recruiting companies were IBM, Erricson, Deloitte, E&Y. The top role offered is an accountant. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1 LPA, and the avera...

I am dissatisfied because of the infrastructure of the examination centre.

Placements: It is a correspondence course, so there is no direct interaction with the college. The only time students go to the campus is to get registered and to get books, and books are mailed now by the college. Students also go once to take their migration certificate and character certificate. So there are no placements as students opt for this course mostly when they are simultaneously pursuing some degree.

Review of School of Open Learning (SOL DU), University of Delhi.

Placements: Sometimes the companies visited in School of Open Learning campus for campus placements. They provide job opportunities for some eligible students, which is continuing from the last two years. But companies which visit our college offers very low salary packages for the students.

The college is really nice along with good faculty members.

Placements: Placements are the process in which college allow different companies to hire students on the basis of their skill requirements. It's a relieve for many students as they get a job as soon as their college gets completed. But in SOL, placements cell is not that active.

It's good for students who want to pursue distant courses.

Placements: At this time, the competition is very tough, and the main problem is that the college didn't conduct placement drives during my tenure. Our college doesn't have the placement facility like other colleges.

It is a good college with a good environment.

Placements: Placements in our college are not good. They do not provide any placement opportunities to the students as it's an open learning college. The students here are also not willing to get placed. The college is also not providing any placement opportunities to the students in this course.

The college has a nice infrastructure but needs to work hard for other amenities.

Placements: The college doesn't provide any placements for open students as it is not relevant to a college degree. Moreover, the placement cell does not work properly, and the students are dissatisfied with it. Small scale companies with low salary package visit our campus and don't provide good exposure.

The college is good for distant education.

Placements: The college doesn't provide placements as there are no regular classes. The college doesn't have a department for student development. They just provide a platform where a student can achieve a graduation degree just by passing in exams while focusing on their career.

A review of School Of Open Learning, DU.

Placements: I do not think SOL conducts any placements as it is an open learning college. Everyone goes to college just for the exams and to get a degree. However, it's a fine college if you just want a degree for any job or if you want to do post graduation in the future. You will spend less money on your graduation.

It is best suited for students who want to study in an open college and those who are from Delhi.

Placements: The college has launched a placement cell in 2018. Since it is affiliated to Delhi University, the students can also take part in DU placement cell. The more marks you score, high are the chances for you to get placed. Dalmia Group offered jobs in the college with a salary package of 2.90 LPA. It is up to you whether you want to go for the job or you want to study further. Placements are not assured in this college.

The best utilisation of time and money.

Placements: There were no placement drives conducted in SOL DU as it is not a regular college. So, none of the companies visits SOL for placements. However, a student can work while studying here and gain experience which is equivalent to placements.

Review of SOL - School of Open Learning.

Placements: There are no placements in School of Open Learning. None of the companies visits the college. We go to college only for the sake of attendance and marks. There are no internships and so no stipends. The college doesn't have a placement cell. Only the degree is useful and nothing more of it. No roles and responsibilities were played by the students.

Faculty members of the college are good enough.

Placements: There are no placements in our college. All students have to apply for jobs themselves. Our college is offering only courses, and no placements are available. It is not a regular college, and it is an open college. This college is for those students who have to complete their graduation without going college regularly.

This is the best college for those who are working and learning.

Placements: There are not many placement opportunities for students in any department. It's just a myth that you are going to college. It's just a source for a bachelor degree which gives you a qualification. It's just a bad experience for me. I think it's only good for those students who are pursuing additional courses like CA, ICWA, and CS, etc.

Placements should be provided in our college for students.

Placements: There were no placements as this is a distance learning course. It will be good if they provide good placement assistance. Only the regular courses have the opportunity of placements, but I think the students who are pursuing distance learning courses should also get this opportunity. Because they might have opted for this course due to financial problems or health issues or any other. It will be of great help if the college provides placement opportunities.

The best college for people who are working.

Placements: Placements and job opportunities are provided by the college. A lot of companies visit the college every year to hire students and help them grow. The average package offered is low, and it is up to 2.50 LPA. Companies like IDBI bank, IBM, and EY, etc. visit the college for placements. Only some students apply for the placements.

Faculty members are good, and the college has a nice library.

Placements: Placements of the college are not that great. But one thing is sure that you can apply for any private or government job after getting the degree if you have knowledge regarding the course you did. Placements are basically based on the knowledge and experience that you have in the particular field that you have opted.

Absolutely dissatisfied because they wasted a year by not declaring the results soon.

Placements: Placements in our college are the worst, or we can say nill. I have experienced that the college wasted a year of students by declaring the results after many months. You cannot expect that the college provides placements. You have to manage on your own.

Our college tries to provide its best, but the infrastructure is average.

Placements: The college didn't provide any placements until now as it is a non-regular college, and placements are provided only in the regular colleges. In my opinion, we should also be provided with the best placements because students join the college with some dreams, and many of them are pursuing a professional course.
