My experience in the School of Open Learning.

Placements: In SOL, we don't get any placements, as well as, the salary of SOL students is very low. None of the companies visited the campus for offering jobs. So, it is better to take admission in a regular college. We never met the senior students in SOL because we have different centres.

School of Open Learning is the best college for low percentage student in 12th.

Placements: This Open School of Learning does not provide any placement to graduate students. They only provide graduate degree. This degree provides us to enter in the various fields. The college placements take place regularly. One of the strong reasons for low placements is that the brilliant students do not take admission in open school.

A bitter fact of life, never go for an open education at least for your graduation.

Placements: If anyone is seriously looking for placement, he/she should never go to a school of open learning because many good companies don't even let students of SOL take interviews in their company. No placement drive is conducted by SOL. There is no placement cell.

It was not that good and not that much bad.

Placements: We did not get placed anywhere. None of the students was placed in the academic year. Even we were not aware whether such kind of service was available to us or not. As there were no placements, the question of stipend does not even arise. We were not satisfied.

School of Open Learning in Delhi.

Placements: I joined this college for a degree as I am also pursuing CA and that is my main profession. On an average, a graduate student can have 1 LPA-2 LPA with this degree but mainly it is a college for those who want to pursue in any other field can take admission to the school of open learning. It cant be able to give you good placement like other regular schooling college but it can just make you a graduate.

There are really good studies and journey.

Placements: The placements were good and amazing. The learning was easy and useful which grooms the career of an individual. I got to know many things while in my college period. Though it was a distance education, the syllabus and the whole journey was very knowledgeable for me. I liked it completely.

SOL-Delhi University, with a professional course.

Placements: Do not expect any high salary placements after doing your education from here. It just gives you a degree so that you can be recognised as a graduate and nothing more than that. I did my B.Com as I am pursuing other professional courses simultaneously so if you are also pursuing some professional degree, then you can opt for this college.

This is a good college for those who are doing any side by side professional course.

Placements: The school of open learning is not offering any placements to any of the students as it is an open learning college. So, we have to go for the off-campus placement drives based on our skills and work experience. No company comes here to take the students. It is a big disadvantage for SOL students.

If you need a degree for formality, but not for the value, then only you can go for it.

Placements: The college has provided no placements. Even the results were declared on around 12 to 15 November, even of the final year. Declaration of the result after July is wasting the next year of the student who wants to pursue post-graduation. At most of the universities, the semester of the postgraduate starts in November and December, but due to delay in the results, it makes students stuck with only B.Com, for the next whole year. This also makes 3-years B.Com courses of some students to 4 years by...

The biggest mistake, please don't take admission even if you don't have any other options.

Placements: In 2017, there is a new initiative taken by Delhi University in which SOL students can also have a chance to get placed or interned through Central Placement Cell, but there is very less awareness among students about it. Also, CPC is not providing good placement opportunities as they are only inviting small companies like call centres with very low-income level. I have also registered for placement, but it has not helped me to get good opportunities that's why I have a bad experience with it.

The review School of Open Learning of the University of Delhi.

Placements: The student hardly gets any placements. I haven't got any placement. However, you can do the independent job anywhere you want and can get the salary according to your capabilities. The students prefer call centres and BPO for this and make their career.

Don't study at SOL as it is the worst college.

Placements: No placements proper companies are coming to the college, but they were just calling the process companies. I hate to work as a Telecaller. You just study for your the graduation. The staff and the work are not satisfactory, but I completed my study with a score of 45%. The salary offered is 8 thousand per month, and 1st-week we will have the training without pay that to calling process on the job fair.

My dissatisfaction is that they are not providing any placement.

Placements: I did my graduation from distance learning. In distance learning, the college does not provide any placement where you have to search on your own. If I did from any regular college, then they would provide. So I think regular college is the best.

Satisfies those who want to pursue open distance learning. Good faculty, really good infrastructure.

Placements: No placements are provided by the Delhi University's SOL. The classes were held every month on Saturday and Sunday, and the college timings were from morning 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM. There were many students who had enrolled, and each student was allotted to a different college as the Delhi University had many colleges which come under it.

This is a good institute to study.

Placements: After BA, many students join SSC coaching or other private courses to fulfil their need to get employed. School of Open Learning is the way of study through which we could carry up our earning. Along with it, we will also study for our self, or we can say that SOL is the best way to study for that person who can't schedule itself to go and take the coaching daily.

School of Open Learning - A good place for distance education

Placements: There were no placements after the completion of course. Only those were placed who applied for the jobs on their own and the institute did not bring in any company for placements. Internships were provided to most of the students. The highest offered stipend was around Rs. 20000 and lowest was on a non-stipendary basis.

School of Open Learning - Review.

Placements: As you know that all the courses offered here are correspondence no companies directly come here for placements but the degree offered from this college is equivalent to other Delhi University colleges, and one can apply to companies from their websites.

I am satisfied with the knowledge gained from the course. The infrastructure needs to be developed.

Placements: I did not apply for any job after the course. Instead, I am pursuing my further studies. But I think around 20% of the students got placed. The average salary around 1,80,000 per annum. I am not sure about the highest and lowest salaries. It is an open learning course, so the companies do not visit for campus placement. The qualified student needs to apply for the job.

Good experience with a great learning.

Placements: This college doesn't provide the placements and the job opportunities as it is not a regular college. The companies don't visit the college or the campus. But at the same time, you need not attend the college on a regular basis. So, you can study comfortably at home and can do a job while pursuing the studies.

Everything about SOL was good, however, as students we would like to get campus placements.

Placements: It's a correspondence course so we don't really get an opportunity for placements through the campus. Since it is an equal degree to what regular college students get, we can actually go and appear for the interview in the office of the companies itself. Students from SOL gets equal status to regular college DU students and the salary package is also equal to that of regular students.
