Is B.E./B.Tech at Samalkha Group of Institutions worth the investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    Teaching Quality and Facilities:

    * Some students reported that the teachers are not qualified and unhelpful, while others mentioned that the faculty is good, well-qualified, and knowledgeable.
    * Infrastructure-wise, some students praised the availability of Wi-Fi, labs, and libraries, while others found the conditions to be poor, with issues like messy classrooms and lack of medical facilities.

    Placements:

    * While some students reported decent placements, with companies like Amazon visiting the campus, others complained about the low pass percentage, tough semester exams, and limited job opportunities.
    * Mechanical engineers had particularly poor placements, with only a few firms visiting the campus, whereas computer Science graduates had better prospects.

    Curriculum and Industry Exposure:

    * Some students felt that the curriculum was irrelevant and didn't prepare them adequately for industry requirements, while others appreciated the emphasis on practical learning and industry visits.
    * Overall, students agreed that the college could improve its ties with emerging companies and enhance its placement record.

Students who value strong academic foundations, hands-on experience, and connections with industries might find the programme satisfactory. However, those seeking more modernized infrastructure, improved placements, and industry relevance might want to consider alternative institutions. Ultimately, it's essential for prospective students to weigh the pros and cons carefully and research thoroughly before making an informed decision.

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Course Curriculum at Samalkha Group of Institutions (B.E./B.Tech)

Based on the reviews provided, here's a summary of the course curriculum:

    * Teaching Quality: Some students felt that teachers were not qualified, and the teaching quality was poor. However, others mentioned that the institution had "qualified and learned individuals" for every stream.

    * Course Curriculum: Unfortunately, there seems to be a mixed opinion on the relevance of the course curriculum. While some students believed it was "best opted," others thought it didn't prepare students for the industry.

    * Practical Exposure: It appears that students don't receive much practical exposure, as there are "no practical exams" held.

    * Lack of Classes: Many students reported that there were "no classes" conducted, which might affect the learning process.

I am not satisfied with this college.
Placements: The placement policy is very bad in our course. No company visit to hire students for placements. The study in this college is also very bad, and there are no classes. There are very bad teaching methods. No practical exams are held.
Infrastructure: No facilities are there in this college. There are no Wi-Fi facilities for students. The laboratories condition are poor, and classrooms are messy. There are no medical facilities available. Sports and games are there for students. The hostel rooms are messy. The canteen is not hygiene, and there is all mess everywhere.
Faculty: Teachers are not helpful. They are not even qualified. The teaching quality is also very bad. The course curriculum is also not relevant, and it doesn't make students industry-ready. The semester exams are very tough. The pass percentage is also very low. The teacher's behavior is very rude to the students, they behave rudely with students

Our college provides good infrastructure and placements.
Placements: Almost 90% of students get placed in our course. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA. Several companies such as Amazon, etc., visit the campus for recruitment. Multi national companies also visit here.
Infrastructure: Our college offers good infrastructure and facilities. Wi-Fi facilities are good here, and the labs are also good. Every machine related to all the branches is available. We have an air-conditioned classroom, and the library has all the books related to every branch.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and helpful. They are well-qualified and are holding an M.Tech degree, and most of them are PhD holders. Every teacher is well experienced, and they also treat you like parents.

Not only focus on theory knowledge, but on practical.
Placements: The placement of SGI is decent, not so good. The average package is 7-8 LPA, and the highest is 20 LPA. The placement cell is very active and has good connections with industry. If we look around internships, the college provides it to students who performed well in examinations or are skilled in the 1st and 2nd year, and for 3rd and 4th year, an internship is necessary.
Infrastructure: The hostel rooms are good and decent, but mess food sometimes is very bad, but after feedback, the mess workers do it properly and make sure that they will not do it again. Wi-Fi connection is good. Labs are like some PCs work and some do not. Classrooms are huge and have proper lighting, fans, AC, and a projector.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and teachers help students in studies and also tell about real things and real issues and tell us how to do something, what to do, when to do, why to do, and give us answers to every question. The course curriculum is not relevant for industry-ready, that's why the college provides a series where they make students industry-ready, but really semester exams are moderate, not so hard and not so easy. And the pass percentage is 100%.
Other: My choice for this course is because I want to become a software engineer, and the best thing about my course is I can learn in-depth learning about computers, coding, functions, applications, and software. I recommended focusing more on AI.

Review of SGI - Samalkha Group of Institutions.
Placements: Almost every interested student gets an internship and training programme as per desire. But you should have good co-ordination with seniors, teachers and pass out students and knowledge of the subject. If you are interested in doing something different, you should go for it.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good and maintained. Wi-Fi facility is not available currently, but it can be available as a new authority is there. We have a good playground. It has only one mess. Market is 100 meters away from college.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Aeronautical is a well-known branch for higher education abroad studies. You should have well knowledge in the field of aeronautical subject.
Other: I opted for this course because there are many options for aeronautical students. If you are interested in the research field and if you have a well innovative mind, then you should try. The campus crowd is not much, but it is a plus point for students to get interacted with teachers.

Dissatisfied because of the location of the college.
Placements: Placements were not good. This is because mechanical firms rarely visit this college. But for computer science, different companies visit this college. The placement department keeps everything in touch with the students. Packages offered by the companies are average.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There are different computer labs. The library of our college is large, and you can get every type of book in the library. There are a cafeteria and a canteen. There are 3 grounds on the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good. They give their best to deliver the students. They are helpful to the students. The industrial visits are organised for the students. The faculty members share their experiences. Examples are given to the students.

Samalkha group of institution though affiliated from Kurushetra University.
Placements: Placement of the institute is not up to the mark. The college has very few tie up with emerging companies and big brands. The placement cell is also not working as efficiently as it should be. As a matter of fact the percentage of placement is below average.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very developed and advance. The premises consists of many building covering workshops, cafeteria, library, classrooms and conference halls. Quality of food offered in cafeteria is average. There is Wi-Fi facility also available in the premises.
Faculty: Faculty and staff are helping hand for each and every one of the students. The institution has qualified and learned individuals for every stream. As the institution is only running because of it's Faculty and their co-operation. Course Curriculum is best opted.
Other: Very few events such as fest and technical support.
