Is it worth pursuing B.E./B.Tech at Shreeyash College of Engineering and Technology?

Based on reviews from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

    Pros:
    * Good placement record: Around 60-80% of students get placed in reputed companies like Infosys, Amazon, Byjus, and others with average salaries ranging from INR3-6 LPA.
    * Helpful faculty: Faculty members are experienced, knowledgeable, and supportive, providing guidance beyond academics.
    * Excellent infrastructure: The college has a vast campus, good classrooms, digital libraries, and modern computer labs.
    * Various extracurricular activities: The college organizes various events, fests, seminars, and workshops, promoting overall development.
    * Low fees: Compared to other colleges in the Marathwada region, the fees structure of Shreeyash College is relatively lower.

    Cons:
    * Limited public transport options: The college is located outside the city, making it inconvenient for students without personal vehicles.
    * Placement rates may vary: While some batches have had good placement records, others might face challenges finding employment.
    * Curriculum updates needed: Some students feel that the course curriculum could use updates to match industry demands.

All colleges in Aurangabad are doing such a scam, so be aware!
Placements: There is no placement. The TPO of the college contacts the consultancy, and they provide jobs by consultancy; they all just show up to attract admissions, and when I was in my final year, they brought rantnaprabha shourum as a placement, and they sprint a news story on paper as they place their students in Mahindra and Mahindra, so those who are newer don't fall for this scam. When I was a younger boy in 2021, they told me there were lots of placement like Mahindra and Mahindra, but they couldn't give you anything; they gave you just a chocolate, which means they made you a fool. !
Infrastructure: This is average but not so good. There are workshops, but they are not properly cleaned, and they do not give funding to projects of students. When I was in my final year, and I wanted to participate in ATVC, so that time when I went to my above department for funding, they couldn't pay, and when I gave them admission, they gave us funding when our competition is 10 days away.
Faculty: Faculty are more supportive, but college management is not. The college management just needs admissions. Teaching is very nice, and faculty are always ready to clear our doubts and teach us, so the faculty are good. But not the management.

Satisfied with the placements of the 2021 batch.
Placements: The college has relatively low placement rates. However, a positive aspect of our college is its support for part-time degrees, allowing those who can't afford full-time education to work and pursue a degree simultaneously. Most students in our class secure positions in IT companies like Wipro and Capgemini at a package of 3.6 LPA. The college provides internships at electrical companies such as Siemens, Dhoot Transmission, and Electroconnect with a stipend of 15,000 per month. The top role offered is system engineer.
Infrastructure: One major drawback is the college's location outside the city, resulting in limited transportation facilities. Wi-Fi is available on campus and in the library. Fresh water filters are conveniently placed throughout the college. Hostel rooms, though old, are regularly cleaned and well-maintained. The quality of hostel food is average, with a positive note being the provision of fruit salad in the morning. The college grounds are located in front of the main building.
Faculty: Teachers, especially in the Training and Placement (T&P) cell, are very helpful and make considerable efforts to secure good placements for students. They regularly organize aptitude exams and arrange visits from special guests. The course curriculum, provided by DBATU University, appears outdated and seems to be copied from other universities, suggesting a need for improvement. Semester exams are moderately challenging.
Other: I chose this college through MHT CET, and my allocation was based on my score.

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2027
    3
    3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
College is average for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, good campus, supportive faculty members.
Placements: Placements are average in this college for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering. Almost 70% of students are placed, but not in top MNCs, with an average package of 2-3.5 LPA. Industries that visit our college for placements are Bajaj, Airbagla, Hyosung, Parason. Also, big companies like Skoda, TCS, and TATA visit, but they choose limited students.
Infrastructure: There are neither poor nor good facilities, but average facilities available for Mechanical Engineering. There is a good internet connection on PCs, and labs are also average. Classrooms are good, and the library is also good. Hostel facilities are good, but the mess is very poor, and the food quality in the mess is very poor. The canteen is good. Medical facilities are available because there is a hospital on our college campus. For sports, there are large grounds available.
Faculty: Yes, for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, the faculty members are very supportive, and the HOD is also very supportive and of good nature. Well-qualified staff are there. The teaching quality is not bad but not excellent. Yes, it helps make students industry-ready because the faculty members provide high support on student projects. Semester exams are difficult because this is not an autonomous institute; this is a DBATU University-affiliated institute. Therefore, the passing percentage is average, meaning 75%.
Other: Because I have a strong interest in Al/ML Technology, but because of my low percentile in MHT CET I have low percentile because of that my second preference is Mechanical Engineering. Machine Learning means robotics and automation, and on the other side, mechanical engineers also deal with machines. In this course, practical knowledge is very important. Mostly, events are celebrations. And in the new academic year, a TechFest is organised. The campus is good, but the surrounding is not good because the college is placed near Tanda. Vast scholarships are available by Mahadbt. And also, extra-curricular activities are conducted by all departments, but a very low amount is in the Mechanical department because there are more diploma holders than regular or 12th pass students in the 2nd year. Because of that, 50% of students are doing jobs.

Green campus which is close to nature.
Placements: I am a fresher so I don't know about the placement. But last year, 50 students were placed in the mechanical branch and the computer science branch. They got an average package of INR 4.5 lacs per year. And our recruiting company is Infosys. Also, Tata Consulting Services came here to hire students.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, laboratories, big classrooms with projectors in each class, libraries, etc. are there. The quality of food is amazing in our college canteen. We have good ground. And we play badminton, cricket and various other games whenever our lecture is off. We also have medical facilities if someone gets injured or ill.
Faculty: Yes, all the teachers are well educated and very helpful in nature. They help us a lot. The semester exams are tough to qualify for because all the exams are held by universities. Some exams are held in college, like class tests and midterms, and they are easy to crack. We just need to refer to the assignments given by teachers to score well.
Other: I chose this course because I have always dreamed of working in the field of technology. Our college is very green and well-known for its green environment.

Many students got placements the previous year.
Placements: Many students got placed in our college in many companies. Almost 60% of students got placed in our college with average salary packages. The highest salary package offered by Byju's is 20 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with many facilities. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. The library is available in our college. It has many books. All classrooms are digital. Our college is under CCTV surveillance. The hostel facility is available in our college. The food served in the mess is good.
Faculty: Our teachers are good and knowledgeable. They understand us. They are always to help us. The teaching quality is good. They teach us by using physical examples. We can easily understand their teaching. They prepare us for semester exams.
Other: Many functions and programs are held in our college. All programs are conducted by students. We always participate in programs.

    Scope for improvement.
Placements: Our college provides average level companies placements. Most Indian IT companies visit the college. Most placements are done off-campus but on-campus placements aren't bad. Packages are realistic. Most placed students are from the civil department. They got a salary package of 24 LPA.
Infrastructure: We have a very basic hostel. You'll be provided with a small cupboard, a bed, a mattress, a pillow, and a desk (if you are lucky) but I recommend getting your own pillow at least. Wouldn't complain about the mess food because it's decent based on the amount you are paying.
Faculty: Some faculty members are experienced. Some are freshers and pursuing Ph.Ds. But guidance is great. Some of the experienced teachers would tell you where you should focus and where you can make more money. Basically, they know what they are doing.
Other: I chose this college because it is available in limited colleges. But they know what is needed to do to get industry exposure. They recently decided to put up a workshop for startup ideas. Overall a decent college.
