Review of Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi.
Placements: Delhi University (DU) has demonstrated commendable placement statistics across various programs. For undergraduate (UG) three-year courses, approximately 71% of students secured placements, with a median salary of 5.5 lacs per annum (LPA). In postgraduate (PG) two-year programs, the placement rate was around 19%, with a median salary of 16 LPA. The highest packages have reached up to 49 LPA, notably at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, while the average packages vary by college and course. For instance, Shri Ram College of Commerce reported an average package of 12.73 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Google, Amazon, Deloitte, etc.
Infrastructure: Delhi University offers excellent infrastructure for most courses. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and Wi-Fi, supporting interactive learning. Specialized labs cater to various fields like science, technology, and the arts. The library is vast, with a rich collection of books and digital resources. Hostels provide basic amenities in a clean environment, though quality varies by college. Food in mess and canteens is generally affordable, with a variety of options, though quality can differ across campuses. Medical facilities are available, and sports facilities include courts for various sports, gyms, and active participation in intercollege competitions.
Faculty: At Delhi University, most faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable, contributing to a solid academic foundation. The teaching quality is generally good, with a focus on both theoretical and practical aspects, although it can vary across departments. The course curriculum is relevant, providing a strong theoretical base, but it sometimes lacks sufficient industry-specific application. Semester exams are challenging, requiring deep understanding and regular study. The pass percentage trends to be high, especially for undergraduate programs, though it can vary by course and department. Regular assessment and internal exams also contribute to overall performance.
Other: Delhi University often chooses their courses based on strong faculty, diverse electives, and future career prospects. The best aspects of DU courses include academic rigour, interdisciplinary opportunities, and exposure to research. However, some students wish for more industry-focused training and practical learning. DU?S campus life is vibrant, with numerous events, festivals, and active student clubs. The campus is well-connected, with easy access to public transportation. Surroundings are typically lively, with plenty of cafes and study spots. Scholarships and extracurricular activities like sports, debates, and cultural festivals offer enriching experiences.

There are two blocks of hostels for boys and one for girls. The mess food is quite diverse and good in quality. The hostel seats are only 10% of the actual batch size.
Faculty: Teachers here teach fairly well. They are highly qualified, some of them having degrees from universities abroad. The curriculum is the same as the entire Delhi University. It's okay in terms of relevance to the industry. The semester exams are easy if one is an SRCC student. One can easily grasp the concepts one week before the exams.
Other: The course has more relevance than arts and social sciences in the industry. The roles offered here are more lucrative. The crowd of the college is quite competitive, and therefore there's enormous scope for growth through the years.
