Q:   How does the placement cell for B.E. / B.Tech at Siddhartha Engineering College assist students in getting placed?

    A:
    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

    Placement Cell Assistance

    * The Placement Cell assists students in getting placed by inviting companies to the campus, facilitating interviews, and providing training to enhance employability.
    * Companies mainly recruit CSE students, while non-CSE students have limited options, leading to complaints from students about the placement cell's limitations.
    * Despite these challenges, some students reported positive experiences with the placement cell, citing successful placements and internship opportunities.
    * A small percentage of students (~20%) reportedly secured placements, with the highest salary package being INR3 LPA and the lowest being INR1.40 LPA.
    * Some students felt that the college should invite more companies, especially those recruiting non-IT students, to increase placement opportunities.
    * Others appreciated the efforts of the placement cell, stating that they had helped secure placements despite limited opportunities.

Overall, while the placement cell faces challenges in securing widespread employment opportunities, it still plays a crucial role in helping some students find placements. Efforts to expand recruitment possibilities and provide additional support to students could further enhance the placement process.

College is average. Not so good placements. Little recommendable.
Placements: As the college is not a highly rated college, so we cannot expect good placements, but still, they are trying their best to bring the best companies for the placement. I am writing this review in the year 2025, so so far, we have had some decent placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay, but coming to the hostel, the boys’ hostel is not much better compared to the girls’ hostel. In the boys’ hostel, we have G+3 floors, where the 3rd floor was recently built, so it is a bit better. And coming to food, first one month it will be good, and the rest god knows.
Faculty: The whole faculty, curriculum, and exams for the course are just average. That’s all I can say. Don't expect too much. It is also based on the faculty I was a student of. CSE (AI-ML). Our HOD is so good, and our mentor is also good. We didn’t face many problems. But coming to the conduction, no excuses from any branch.
Other: Now the college is an autonomous college, so the things are changing. Let’s hope for the best.

Good environment and value for money.
Placements: Our college has a placement rate of 70%, which is better than other colleges. Some local companies come and hire a few students.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility at this college is good. It has many facilities, including Wi-Fi, reading halls, RO water, good washrooms, and hot water in the winter. The environment in the hostel is strict, and students are not allowed to go out except on holidays and Sunday.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are very good. They have a lot of experience, especially the senior faculty who have been teaching for at least 16 years. They are very skilled at teaching and are always willing to answer questions. They use language that is easy to understand.

Dissatisfied in terms of faculty and hostels.
Placements: The placements are average. And here, to get placement, the student must be without backlogs and should get a good percentage. The faculty members will help the students get placed in companies. But no big companies will come to this college.
Infrastructure: When it comes to infrastructure, it will be average. But the ecosystem and the atmosphere are very nice. Here, we can see much greenery. And coming to hostel facilities, it's too bad. And the worst thing in the hostel is food. And the hostel rooms are also not good places to stay.
Faculty: In terms of faculty, there is no good faculty at this college. Here, the teaching is the worst. And coming to exams, the college is JNTUH-affiliated, so the question paper comes from JNTU. And recently, our college became autonomous. Even though it has become autonomous, there has been no change in faculty.
Other: I chose this course because it's good for the market. With this course, I may get good job opportunities. The availability of courses is good, but the faculty for those courses should be changed to improve education. Not many festivals will be conducted at our college. Scholarships will be provided according to caste.

Infrastructure: The classrooms and labs are neat and air-conditioned, and the canteen offers a variety of food and drink. There are hostels for both boys and girls, and the food is healthy. In the evening, snacks are served, and Wi-Fi is available for free. The college also has good sports facilities.
Faculty: The faculty at this college is good. They are well-educated and highly experienced, and they are friendly with the students. They help the students get good marks and the best knowledge, and they help the students pass the semester exams easily. The passing marks are twenty-one.

Faculty: The faculty is good in our college. Here, we can pass semester exams easily. The passing marks are twenty-one. The thing is, this college is affiliated with JNTUH, so sometimes the exams are easy, and sometimes they are hard, based on the paper. They are friendly with us to help us get good marks.

Placements: Placements in my college are average. The highest package in the passed out batch was around 10 to 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies include IBM, Accenture, AMDa etc. Students who perform well in their semesters and overall course can crack a placement.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the college are not good at all. Faculty who are teaching don't have knowledge about the subject and Technology. The way they teach or explain is not comprehensible by the students. The hostel is also not good. The food they serve is worse. Games and sports are conducted yearly.
Faculty: The faculty in the college are not good. The way they teach or explain to the students is not understandable. Students are literally facing issues with it. The faculty don't have subject knowledge. The exams are conducted semester wise. In a year, we have 2 semesters. So the exams are conducted 2 times in a year.
