Silicon institute of technology, patia.

Placements: Placement is not that good Mainly IT companies are coming But when u have talent does this matter. There are few guys who didn't joined here forcefully, they joined because they wanted to be engineer and they got placed in nice companies. Placement is not good because many are there who joined when they had no other option so practically it's not possible for those to get placement.

The review about the college beyond teaching.

Placements: The placements were below par. Only about 50% of the students grabbed a job, that too at substandard packages. The average salary offered was around 3.5 lakhs per annum. Major takers are Infosys and Wipro. Other companies that visit our college are Mindtree, Tech Mahindra, and Conversion Bug. There is a placement cell in the college, which is also the industry interface of the college. Internship depends on the student. Pre-placement talks are arranged for 3rd and 4th-year students.

Frustration from Institute.

Placements: There are no placements in the college. Only IT companies come then you can think about placement status of this college. Then what happens to civil, electrical, electronic and communication, mechanical student what will they do completion if degree they only get the certificate from Institute nothing else.

Not a very good college, but is good compared to other colleges of Bhubaneswar.

Placements: There are 2 campuses in Sambalpur and Bhubaneswar Wipro, Infosys, ADP, Aptus Data Lab, Acesocloud, GGK Tech, Mind Tree, Kays Harbor are the companies that visited. Sambalpur students were allowed to only sit in Infosys and Wipro companies. Bhubaneswar placement cell does some dirty work. If the company requests to take interview of only 10 students, they only send those students whom they know personally or 9 pointers. Whereas, it must be systematically arranged by taking a common exam and sendi...

A satisfactory institution with good faculty, infrastructure and faculty members.

Placements: The placement records of our college are undoubtedly very good every year. The thing is that for placements, we have to go to our main branch which is located in Bhubaneswar and there, we all have to compete. There is no doubt that everyone gets the equal opportunity to compete, but it now depends on you, how well you are prepared for the placements. The placement percentage always count according to both branches, and that is around 70-80% but to be specific for Sambalpur campus, we always have...

This is a satisfactory college as it puts focus on the academics.

Placements: The placement statistics are not going well for the last two years. It went on decreasing day by day. Last year, only 45% of the students were placed in the software companies, i.e., Wipro, Infosys, etc. No core companies took part in the campus placement except for the software ones. The branches other than the software branch face many hurdles in the placements.

Good and satisfied with the college, so anyone can join.

Placements: There were very little placements in my batch. About 20 people got the job out of 200. In my senior batch, about 100 persons got placements out of 450. Nowadays there are calling local companies, which are providing low salaries only to show that they are giving placements.

The present scenario of silicon institute of technology, Sambhalpur.

Placements: The placements are generally done through its Bhubaneswar campus. The companies like Infosys, Wipro, Mindtree, and Capgemini visit every year. No companies are visiting Sambalpur campus. All are directed to Bhubaneswar campus for placement. Some of the core companies for mechanical and civil branch earlier visited the campus, but not now.

The Silicon Institute of Technology:Is it worth or not to take admission?

Placements: The 90% of the placement in the college is for computer science and IT, and the other branches will have 70%. The average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum will be of Wipro, Infosys or Techno India. There will no fake placements, and the faculties will be helpful. The other companies that visit the campus include MindTree, HCl etc. Also, the college is getting autonomous soon. The previous batch got good placements; even e.t.c branches secured jobs in Wipro. The salary doesn't differ much, but the ...

Not the best but good in terms of knowledge.

Placements: Placements in 2017 were bad except for the CS students. The placements for CS students were around 90% but for non-CS students, it was less than 50%. The highest salary offered was by Softronics to 2 ECE students going off-campus at 6.5 lacs. The major recruiters were Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Mindfire, Corel, etc. The lowest offered was around 3 lacs. The students were given pre-placement training but it didn't work out for them at all.
