Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT) provides four year B.Tech degree course in Civil Engineering with an intake capacity upto 60 students for each section. This means that:

• Admission is given to 60 students per year in the B.Tech Civil Engineering course.
• Total strength of student for the 4-year programme is approximately 240 students (60 students by 4 batch intake). 

It should be noted that there may be variations in intake capacity for different courses and such details are better obtained from the respective colleges. The college may also provide lateral entry to 2nd-year B.Tech Civil Engineering for Diploma or holders.

The following are the requirements for Siliguri Institute of Technology's B.Tech programme:

• The intermediate (10+2) exam or its equivalent must have been passed by the candidates.
• With mathematics and physics as mandatory disciplines, a minimum of 45% in each subject is needed.
• Additionally, candidates need to have taken one of the following courses: biology, biotechnology, chemistry, or technical vocational courses.

A pass in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of  Chemistry/ Biotechnology /Biology /Computer Science /Computer Application/ Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects as stated above in regular class mode with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to reserved category is required to apply for BTech course. Additionally, candidates must have passed Class 12 with English with at least 30% aggregate.

The BTech programme at Siliguri Institute of Technology is a four-year course. The annual fee for the BTech programme is INR 2,25,000. For the complete course duration, the total fee would be approximately INR 4,80,000.

The total tuition fee of BTech ranges between INR 3.93 Lacs and INR 4.84 lakhlakh as per an unofficial source.
