Not a place for good students. They don't offer much placements.

Placements: The placements for our batch were not that good. Only a few students got placements. The salary offered to them who got selected was not revealed to us. And, few good companies like TCS and Wipro came. They selected mostly the electrical and CSE department students of B.Tech. It is not a good placement providing college.

The college is good with the best surroundings of hills and rivers. Average placement.

Placements: The placements are not promising. IT companies will come. Some really good companies also come for the drive, but most of them will do pool campus placements. You can say no core companies will come for placement drive. Anyway, there are good academics. If you want to talk about salary package, it went to a maximum of 12 lakhs per annum, and the average would be 2.5 to 3 LPA.

A college you can look forward to. Come and be a part of our family.

Placements: The placements for the last year batch were good. The students who were placed were about 25%. The highest salary offered was around 4.5 LPA and the lowest salary offered was around 2.5 LPA. The average salary would be around 3 LPA to 3.5 LPA. The companies who visited the college were Thoughtworks, Intel, Himachal Pradesh, Dell, etc. The roles offered were generally skill based or you can say software oriented skills. The college does not reveal the number of students who got the internship.

Siliguri Institute of Technology, things to know.

Placements: This year the number of placements from our branch is low when compared to previous years. Total 10 students were placed in total from a bath of 110 CSE students. But the people who have been placed till now, have received good salary packages varying from 3.3-10 lakhs per annum. The companies likes Thought works, Intel, Bosch, Altimetric, Vertica, McCafe, have come for placements till now. The companies like Amazon and TCS are going to come for campus placements within the next 2 months. It see...

The infrastructure and facilities are good. The faculty are helpful, and placements were improving.

Placements: The placements were more or less good, in the last year and this year too. Around 60% of the students were placed, maximum of them were from computer science, electronics and communication engineering. The highest salary offered was around Rs. 80,000 per month, the lowest salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. TCS, L&T, Wipro, Amazon, Byjus and many more companies visited the campus. The students present in the training and placement committee were groomed for giving the members of the company...

Does not meet expectations.

Placements: The placement is not that good as compared to other colleges from Techno India Group. Placements from companies like Tata Consultancy Services were considered the best during my batch. The college was involved in the news, as it failed to give placements to more than 50% students in the pass out batch of 2015 and the students protested as well. The placement officer was a fraud. Currently, Deb Shekhar Laha is heading the placement and being alumni, I have heard that he is doing well nowadays tho...

Siliguri Institute Of Technology is a nice place for learning.

Placements: The placement of our college is good. Many multi-national companies like IBM, TCS, Amazon, Intex, L&T, etc. visit our college for placement purpose. Every year, 60% students get a job from our college. CSE, IT, EE, and ECE departments' placement is really good. 6 lakhs per year is the highest salary offered by the company and 2.5 lakhs per year is the lowest. Some students are general and assistant engineer of some company. 52 % of the students got an internship from our college. The average stip...

Awesome place to lead your college life with really good infrastructure.

Placements: The placements during 2013-2014 (80-85%) or so was very good but then gradually it came down in 2015 (60-65%). Then in 2016, there has been an average placement of about 70%. The problem here is that lots of companies come to the college but then they recruit very few students. The college seems to have a nice infrastructure for placement which lures the companies.

Dissatisfied with placements but the best faculty, best campus I have ever seen.

Placements: If you are thinking about placements after the completion of the 4-year course (in case you are from core departments), then you are wrong. Though you will get a good and helpful faculty around you. However, the placements are really pathetic here. You will have only one option, that is GATE and it is very tough to crack. In Siliguri, you can't get a good GATE tutor or coaching centre. So, it will be very tough for you. Placements of streams like CSE, IT, ECE are around 40%. You can select the...

Good faculty, course curriculum and infrastructure. Absolutely dissatisfied because of placements.

Placements: In CSE, the on-campus placement rate of batch 2016 was in between (30 - 40)%. Several companies had come for the interview but many of them were technical voice support which offered 10k - 18k in hand per month. Several good companies were also there like TCS, Zycus, Thoughtworks, etc. but all of them were pool campusing i.e., you need to compete with several other Techno India group colleges. TCS only selected 48 students (includes all branch) as this was the only company where bulk recruitment...

Good infrastructure and nice placement opportunities. The best part is that it's blooming everyday.

Placements: The placements have seen a great enhancement in the past 3 to 4 years. From 2013, the scenario of placements has become really trustworthy and helpful for the students. The training and placement cell is completely involved in tying up with companies in order to provide best opportunities for the students at hand.

Our college offers a green campus, good infrastructure, and highly qualified professors. There is a great scope to enhance your skills in extracurricular activities. Many IT companies like TCS, Altmetric, L&T Infotech, and many others come for the campus drive. Overall, this must be one of colleges of Techno India Group, Kolkata.

SIT is well known for its faculty not for placement. The department of ECE has highly qualified faculty. If you have come for knowledge and not for placement then SIT would be the best choice for you. The college has digitalized library facilities, campus ground and scope for being a good sportsman along with your studies. Our college is too much environment friendly.

PICTURESQUE that’s the 1st word which comes in mind while describing the college. The college is located in the foothills of Darjeeling. It has lush greenery all round with tea gardens surrounding it. Because of its close proximity to hills and forests, the weather all-round the year is very comfortable and clearly tailor made for a better studying experience. If the weather is good one is bound to concentrate better in studies. The college is located beside NH 31 so connectivity is not a probl...
