For the session 2017-2019, the final placements at Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research & Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE) concluded with an impressive track record of 100%. With participation from over 100 industry giants, the students received a number of noteworthy profiles. Some of the top companies that hired students include Aditya Birla Group, Axis Bank, Barclays Investment Bank, Citi Group, Deloitte USI, Duff & Phelps, Ernst & Young, HDFC Ltd, ICICI Group, Infosys, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Nielsen, Saint Gobain and Tata Cap among others.

SIMSREE Sector-Wise Placement 2019

This year’s batch had a mix of backgrounds such as management, commerce and engineering. More than half of the student group had experience from zero to over three years in sectors ranging from IT to Pharma. Finance turned up to be the highest recruiting sector again with 63% of the students opting for Finance followed by Marketing, with around 28% of the batch opting for it.

Candidates having specialisations in Finance were offered roles like Analyst-Global Finance, Analyst-Investment Research, Business Valuation, Internal Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, Investment Banking Analyst, Risk & Financial Advisory etc.

Further, marketing majors witnessed a plethora of profiles such as Brand Manager, Digital Sales, Digital Marketing and Relationship Manager while the HR and Operations students were picked up as Business Analyst, PI-Analytics, HR Manager, Consultant, Operations Manager, etc.

SIMSREE Summer Placements 2019

The summer placements for the session 2018-19 lived up to the standards set by the institute for the past three decades. The college witnessed remarkable participation from companies that offered diverse roles. There was also a marked increase in the stipends being offered.

The batch was offered summer projects by companies from varied sectors like BFSI, Advertising, e-Commerce, FMCG, Consulting, Pharma, Telecom, IT and so on. In addition to this, the 1st year students were also offered an overseas opportunity with Dubai based media production house called Leeds Production.

The college has the best faculty and placements.

Placements: Our college was giving placements to around 90% of students. All the students were getting placement opportunities at our college. The highest package offered at the college was 25 LPA. The lowest package offered was 5 LPA. The average package offered in our course was between 6 and 15 LPA. The top recruiters in our college were from various top private hospitals. In our college, 100% of students were getting internships.

Infrastructure: The facilities at our college were also good. The medical labs were properly equipped with all the equipment required. College management was very supportive and helpful. The college has AC classrooms, libraries, labs, etc. of the best quality. The college was also giving hostel facilities to its students.

Faculty: The faculty of our college were qualified and knowledgeable. Most of the teachers were experienced and had great experience in the medical field. The course curriculum followed in our course was relevant. It was making students jobs ready. Semester exams at our college were tough and difficult. Professors were making us understand all the concepts.

Placements: SIMSREE is one of the few colleges with 100% Placements. The student-driven Placement Committee oversees the Placements Affairs and they work very hard to place the batch. The average CTC offered at SIMSREE is around 12.2 LPA and the highest CTC offered is around 20 LPA. Top companies like Barclays, Deloitte, JP Morgan Chase, Citi Corp, Citi Bank, HDFC Bank, CRISIL, EY, Edelweiss, Nerolac, Welspun, Capgemini, Fonterra, Pfizer, GoDigit, etc. Recruit from SIMSREE. To sum up, SIMSREE offers it's students excellent placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is limited but smartly used. SIMSREE has the facilities of Library, Internet Lab, Seminar Hall, Conference rooms, a 200-seater auditorium and several classrooms. All the rooms are air-conditioned. The canteen is below average and people prefer to eat outside, at stalls near the Churchgate station. The college in affiliation with the government also provides hostel facilities, which is allotted to some of the students on merit basis. The hostel is just behind the college at a 2-min walking distance. The hostel facilities are good.

Faculty: SIMSREE has a good set of in-house and visiting faculty. The curriculum is smartly designed and helps in the overall growth of the students. Some of the visiting faculty also visit JBIMS, NMIMS and SPJIMR which helps provide great exposure to the students of SIMSREE.

Other: SIMSREE has a plethora of events for the students to participate, enjoy and learn from. The student-driven culture in SIMSREE enables the students to get the exposure similar to the corporate world. From conducting lectures to managing placements to organizing events, everything is handled and managed by the students who are the part of several committees in SIMSREE. SIMSREE hosted Ted-X for the first time which was a huge success. SIMSREE is a host to multiple National level competitions like Joneses and several conclaves with elite people coming in from the corporate world. SIMSREE conducts the Asia Pacific conference every year and is a host to the famous Jagruti Yatra also. The Students Social Responsibility committee conducts several activities like the Blood Donation campaigns round the year. REMINISCENCE is the annual Alumni meet and it is that time of the year when all the alumni of SIMSREE get into SIMSREE and cherish the moments they had at SIMSREE. Flagship events like SIM'ERGENCE, FISCUS, SIMERATIONS, MRUDGANDHA and the HOUSE CUP involves students interacting with each other, Industry stalwarts and prominent personalities and having the time of their lives.

College with highly qualified and experienced faculty.

Placements: SIMSREE is providing best quality of placement opportunities to the students of MS programme. Around 45% of the students get placed in our course. Average package offered in our course was between 3-5 LPA. Top recruiters in college were ICICI, kotak, HDFC, Tata Technologies etc.

Infrastructure: Our college has a good quality infrastructure available for the MS programme. Facilities like Wi-Fi, canteen, library, labs, etc. were available for the students. The quality of these facilities was good. Hostel facilities were available for the students. All the facilities including rooms, mess, etc. were good enough.

Faculty: Faculty of the college was helpful, qualified and knowledgeable in our programme. The quality teaching of the college was good enough. Course curriculum in this college was relevant. It makes the students industry ready. Semester exams in the college were not very hard to pass.

Excellent experience plus 100% placement.

Placements: Placements are decent. An average package of final year students goes around 5-6 Lacs. And some of them are still pursuing internships. The internship opportunities is itself provided by the college and with the help of some teachers contact in industries students got placed on good package.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is fantastic with all the facilities that we need are present on the campus. High-speed Wi-Fi is available all in the campus and all the sports facilities are there. Hostels are good and disciplined as well as mess food is impressive.

Faculty: Faulty members are highly qualified from top-ranked institutes. They have so many contacts in industries and experience with the help of placement cell the good opportunities we are getting every year in the college. The course curriculum is well designed according to our criteria and what we need today for industries.

My course was MS in marketing and top roles offered were of Market Research Executive, Relationship Manager, brand management, strategic alliance manager, management trainee, pre-sales and consultants.100% got internships from my course and the roles were offered by Mattel, KPMG, Tata capital, GEP, HDFC Bank and CITI Bank and many more.

Infrastructure: 1. Wi-Fi, Library, Air-conditioned classrooms, Lockers, Committee meeting rooms, Incubation center, Auditorium, Activity center, Recreation room, Badminton courts, Canteen, Computer lab. 2. Good food in mess and in the canteens only the hostel. 24 hours freshwater and water coolers. Good medical facilities and area for games and sports. Wi-Fi enabled library and gym were also provided.

Faculty: 1. All the professors were highly qualified and the style of teaching was excellent and very much practical. We had visiting faculty members who own big names in the professional, corporate and the academic world. 2. Course and the curricular is definitely relevant and makes the students ready and fit for the industry as almost all kind of practical and field knowledge is imparted along with the theoretical knowledge. Different committees are constituted within the campus to give the students a real like management world experience.

Other: 1. The best part is the placements and the ROI 2. The marketing of the brand of the college can be better. M. As this is a government institute that's is why it is promoted less and students are less aware of this college 3. A lot of fun stuff and events happens across the year which involves and tests your convincing, organising, branding and negotiating skills along with a good experience of raising sponsorship money for events and working professionally with teams.

MBA from the SIMSREE, Mumbai.

Placements: At SIMSREE all the courses students were getting placement opportunities. Around 40% of the students in the CSE course get placed at this college. The average package offered to our course students was between 6-8 LPA. Various IT and management company visits our college for the on-campus placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of SIMSREE was well maintained and developed. The facilities offered to our course students were good enough. For student's academics and knowledge development various modern facilities such as a library, computer labs, Wi-Fi, projectors, etc. were provided here in the college. Hostel facility was available for the students. Students were also given various sports facilities.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers of the college were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. All the teachers were supportive to the students.
