MAH MBA CET CAP 2025 will be conducted most likely in July-August 2025. Maharashtra State CET Cell will release the CAP 2025 schedule at the Maharashtra State CET Cell website. MAH MBA CET counselling process, officially called MBA Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round is conducted for admission to MBA/MMS courses offered by over 300 colleges and institutes in Maharashtra. Candidates having CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, GMAT and CMAT scores can also participate in the MAH MBA CET round 2025. Read below all about MAH MBA CAP 2025.

Q:   What is MAH CET CAP?

A:

MAH MBA CET CAP is a common counseling process for admission to MBA/MS programmes offered by Maharashtra colleges and institutes. The Centralised Admission Process or CAP is conducted by the State CET Cell for admission to over 300 colleges and institutes in Maharashtra. Candidates who qualify MAH MBA CET entrance are eligible to participate in the MAH CET CAP. The MAH CET CAP includes online registration and choice filling by the candidate and seat allotment by the admission cell. The seat allotment is done in round-wise and category-wise. The seat is allotted to candidates on the basis of their MAH CET score and the colleges they have selected in the CAP registration form. Upon allotment of seats, candidates have to accept the admission offer by completing the paperwork at the college and paying the requisite fees. Candidates who have appeared for CMAT/CAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT can also participate in the MAH MBA CET CAP for admission to MBA/MS courses. Such candidates can apply under All India category.

Q:   What is the MBA CET CAP eligibility criteria?

In the MAH CET CAP, there are three categories in which the seat allotment is done: 1. Maharashtra State Candidature, 2. All India Candidature/Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidate and 3. NRI/OCI/PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries. Given below are the category wise MAH CET CAP eligibility criteria. Maharashtra State Candidature: The candidate should be an Indian National and must have passed -year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate from a recognised university (at least 45 per cent in case of candidates belonging to backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only). The candidate must have obtained more than zero score in MAH CET exam. All India Candidature/Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidate: The candidate should be an Indian National and must have passed 3-year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate from a recognised university. They must have also scored more than zero score in MAH CET/XAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT/CAT/CMAT. NRI/OCI/PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries: The candidate should have passed minimum three-year duration Bachelor's Degree with 50 per cent marks or equivalent, awarded by the University recognized by the UGC or AIU. Any other criterion declared from time to time by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra as defined under the ACT.

Q:   Which college can I get in Maharashtra for MBA with 59.23%ile in MAH-CET?

This percentile in MAH-CET, as an open category student from outside Maharashtra, will not be probable as most top MBA colleges within the state ask for 85–90% and above. MAH CET cut offs refer to the percentile on the basis o which seats are allotted to candidates during the counselling process. Candidates do not have to meet any sectional cut off to be eligible for admission into a particular MBA college. MAH CET cut offs 2025 will be declared for two to three rounds. What is MAH MBA CET CAP Round?

The MAH CET CAP round is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra for admission to MBA/MMS programmes offered by state institutes. The MAH CET CAP, also referred to as Counselling, is conducted for admission to about 300 management institutes including JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research and PUMBA. MAH MBA CET CAP round is conducted online on the official website. 

Candidates who will appear for MAH CET 2025 exam and score more than 0 can participate in the process by filling the CAP registration form at the Maharashtra State CET website before the deadline.

Yes, MAH MBA CET counselling is cut off-based which is held after the result announcement. MAH CET counselling is conducted round-wise. In this process, candidates have to register online, participate in online counselling and confirm admission by submission of documents and final admission by making fee payment. After that, the admission cell, prepares cut offs and seat allotment lists category wise for MBA/MS admission. Candidates from outside Maharashtra state are also eligible for MAH CET CAP under the All India Seats category. The registration, exam and counselling processes for All India Seats category students are same as that of Maharashtra State category candidates. The MBA CET CAP is held for 2-3 months. For 2022 academic session, it was held from October 7 to November 18, 2022. MAH MBA CET 2023 counselling process dates will be announced after the declaration of result of the entrance exam. Q:   Which colleges can I expect in CAP round as I have got 95.77 percentile in CET (All India category)?

A:
As you belong to All India category, it is very difficult to get a good college in Mumbai. Lala college closed at around 96.5 percentile last year. The only college which had a cutoff lower than 95 Percentile was MIT and Indira which closed at 93.5 percentile. I would suggest to avoid these colleges and if you can, please give the entrance exams again and aim for better colleges.

Admission through MAH CET CAP 2025 will be done under the following categories:

  • Maharashtra State Candidates

  • All India Candidates (including Jammu & Kashmir Migrant candidates)

  • NRI / OCI / PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries

(1) The candidate should have passed minimum three-year duration Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks or equivalent, awarded by the University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities.

(2) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra as defined under the Act.

MAH MBA CET CAP Round Process 2025

MAH MBA CET CAP round process includes online registration, filling the application form, verifying documents, application confirmation, release of provisional merit list, the release of final merit list and confirmation of admission.

The MAH MBA CET CAP round is explained below in three stages:

Stage 1: Candidate registration and document verification:

The registration process of MAH MBA CET Counselling is online. Candidates have to fill up the form at mahacet.org website and get documents verified at e-scrutiny and physical scrutiny centres as per slot  available. After the application form has been accepted by the admission cell, the next steps are mentioned below:

Stage 2: Announcement of provisional merit list

After the process of application form submission, the provisional merit list of selected candidates and MBA CET cut offs will be announced. Candidates can submit their grievances (if any) along with required documents at the same Facilitation Centre where they had gotten their application form verified. After this process, the final merit list of MBA CET CAP round will be declared.

Stage 3: Announcement of final merit list

The final merit list will be released online on the official website, indicating seats available for CAP rounds. The MBA CAP round 2025 will be conducted online and the seats will be allotted through a computerized process. Candidates who will be allotted seats in a particular CAP round will be required to report at the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for verification of documents and confirmation of admission. Following confirmation of admission at the ARC, the candidates will be required to visit the allotted college to complete the admission process.

To participate in the MAH MBA CET 2025 CAP, candidates will be required to register and create an account on the official website. Candidates who have appeared for the CET exam have to also fill the CAP form. Given below are the steps for MBA CET CAP registrations 2025:

MAH MBA CET CAP Round 2025: Key Points to Remember for Registration

Here are some of the key points one should remember while filling the CAP registration form 2025 at the Maharshtra State CET Cell website. 

  • Candidates are allowed to fselect minimum one and maximum 300 choices of institutes and courses.

  • After confirmation of Option Form, no changes will be allowed in it.

  • If candidates fail to confirm the online application by E-Scrutiny center, then their forms will be rejected.
  • Once the candidate is allotted the seat as per his/her first preference, he/she will have to accept that allotment. Participation in subsequent CAP rounds will not be allowed.

  • ‘The Seat Acceptance Fee (non-refundable) is INR 1,000 for all admitted candidate.

Information You Can Edit in the MAH MBA CAP Form 2025

The candidates will be allowed to edit only certain sections in the MAH MBA CET CAP form 2025 at the time of scrutiny of documents. Given below is the list:

  • Change of gender
  • MAH MBA CET score (change in merit number due to an increase in marks will not be allowed)
  • Caste/sub-caste/the category of backward class but the change from General to Reserved category is not permitted. However, a reserved category candidate will be allowed to change his/her category from Reserved to General upon his failure to submit requisite documents
