The placements scenario of our college for mechanical engineering is not that good because core companies don't visit much for placements for mechanical students.

If we like fresh air, then this college is good, otherwise, we must go with the affordable college.
Placements: In the current year, none of the students got placed. Around 20 to 30 students from the senior batch out of 400 have been placed. Many companies visit our college but lack proper guidance on how to approach placements, many students are unskilled and unaware of the placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good. Wi-Fi is only available in the 1st and 2nd year student hostels, with 24-hour access in the reading hall. Classrooms are not well-maintained, they have old fans and benches. Food in the mess is not good, we may lose 10 kgs in our first year. There are 4 canteens, but none of them have tasty food. Campus has a big cricket ground, but they don't allow us to play on it. We can play other available sports. Medical facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but they leave the college due to delayed salary for 7 to 8 months. College does not offer positions based on experience, but they offer higher positions if teachers hold higher degrees. Difficulty level of college exams is average.
Other: College need to remove all the subjects that are not relevant. Events organized by the college are not good.

B.E. in Information Technology - Batch of 2025

Absolutely dissatisfied because by placement in 2025, average faculty, really good facilities.
Placements: The Information Technology (IT) course in our college has an average placement record, with around 60-70% of students securing jobs before graduation. The average package offered to IT students is 4 lacs per annum, with the highest package reaching about 10-12 lacs per annum, and the lowest starting at 2.5-3 lacs per annum. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, and Accenture are the main recruiters, alongside smaller startups.
Infrastructure: The Information Technology (IT) department in our college offers average facilities for students. Wi-Fi is available but often slow, making it unreliable for heavy usage. Labs are equipped with basic infrastructure, sufficient for core programming courses but lacking advanced tools for cutting-edge projects. Classrooms are spacious and functional, though not all are equipped with modern teaching aids. The library is decent, housing a reasonable collection of books and journals, but it could use more digital resources. Hostel facilities are satisfactory, with basic amenities provided. Rooms are modest but clean, though some maintenance issues are common. The food in the mess is average, offering a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The canteen provides more variety, but the quality can be inconsistent. Medical facilities are minimal, with a small on-campus clinic for basic health concerns and emergencies. More serious cases require visiting a nearby hospital. Sports and recreational facilities are moderate, with a ground for outdoor sports like cricket and football, along with courts for badminton and volleyball. However, the equipment can be outdated, and there's room for improvement in supporting sports culture. Indoor games are limited, but a gym is available for students interested in fitness. Overall, while the facilities are functional, they don't stand out. The college provides a decent environment for academic and extracurricular activities, but significant upgrades are needed in terms of infrastructure, technology, and recreational support to meet higher standards. The college atmosphere is conducive to learning, but students may need to rely on external resources for more advanced requirements. There's a lot of potential, but the facilities need modernization to better align with industry expectations and student needs. Average lab and classroom.
Faculty: The Information Technology (IT) faculty at our college is a mix of experienced and newer instructors. While many teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, particularly in core subjects like programming and networking, the overall teaching quality varies. Some professors are highly supportive and approachable, often going beyond the syllabus to address industry trends. However, others rely heavily on textbooks without much practical insight, leading to a gap in hands-on skills. The IT course curriculum covers essential topics like programming, database management, web development, and networking, providing a solid foundation. However, some parts of the curriculum feel outdated, lacking advanced topics in emerging fields like AI, cybersecurity, or data science. To become truly industry-ready, students often need to take additional online courses or certifications or participate in hackathons to keep up with current demands.
Other: I chose the Information Technology (IT) course because of my interest in technology and the opportunities it offers in a rapidly growing industry. The course provides a solid base in programming, web development, and networking, which are essential skills for a tech career. Additionally, the wide scope of job opportunities in IT was a major factor in my decision. The best things about the IT course are the practical programming labs, where we get to apply theoretical knowledge, and the group projects that foster collaboration. The course also includes some industry-oriented electives, which provide a glimpse into real-world applications and emerging fields. However, there is room for improvement. The curriculum could be updated to include more recent trends in technology, such as cloud computing, AI, and cybersecurity. Additionally, while some faculty members are excellent, a more consistent teaching approach and integration of hands-on learning would be beneficial. Adding more industry collaborations and guest lectures could better prepare students for the job market. Campus life is vibrant, with a good mix of events and fests throughout the year. The college hosts cultural and technical fests that bring students together, and the campus crowd is friendly and diverse. Connectivity to the campus is decent, though more frequent public transportation options would be helpful. The surroundings are calm, offering a conducive learning environment.

Mixed experience: Decent basics but lacking industry relevance and support.
Placements: Campus Placement Review for Sinhgad Institute of Technology, Lonavla: I passed out in 2024 from Computer Engineering. In our batch, around 30% of students got placed. The placement is average, to be honest. The highest package was 10 LPA, and the lowest was just 0.2 LPA, with the average being somewhere between 3-4 LPA. Not very impressive but okay for freshers. Top recruiters included companies like Nvidia, TCS, and Tech Mahindra. They mostly hire for software development roles. A few also got into support and QA positions, but not many high-end tech roles. One downside was the internship opportunities; there were literally 0% internships through campus placements, which was a bummer. Most of us had to find internships on our own. Overall, placements were okay for some, but many had to try off-campus for better jobs. It could have been better if more companies had come in and more focus on internships had been there.
Infrastructure: The facilities for Computer Engineering at Sinhgad Institute of Technology, Lonavla were decent. We had Wi-Fi, but it was slow most of the time, so not very reliable. The labs were equipped with computers, but they were not always up to date. The classrooms were okay, spacious enough but could have been maintained better. The library was quite good, with a good collection of books related to our course, and it was helpful during exams. But again, most students preferred online resources due to the Wi-Fi issue. Talking about the hostel, it was just average. The rooms were small and sometimes lacked proper cleanliness. The mess food was not great, pretty basic and repetitive, and not everyone liked it. Some students preferred to eat outside in the canteen, which had better food but still limited options. Medical facilities were available on campus but mostly basic stuff. For anything serious, students had to visit a hospital outside. The sports facilities were alright; we had grounds for cricket and football, and a few indoor games like table tennis. But sports activities weren't really a priority, so many students didn’t use them much. In general, the infrastructure was okay for getting by but could be better.
Faculty: The teachers were okay, but many just followed textbooks with little focus on practical or industry-relevant skills. Most of us had to rely on self-study or online resources. The curriculum felt outdated and didn’t prepare us well for the industry, especially in areas like AI or cybersecurity. Semester exams were easy and focused mostly on theory. The pass percentage was high, around 80-90%, but it was more about memorizing rather than truly understanding the subjects. Overall, the course lacked in making students industry-ready.
Other: I passed out in 2024 from Computer Engineering. I chose this course because of my interest in coding. The best part was learning programming basics, but most practical learning was outside class. The curriculum is outdated and lacks industry relevance. More focus on internships would be better. The campus had some fun fests, and the crowd was chill. The location was good but far from the city, so connectivity was an issue. Extracurricular activities were limited, especially for tech clubs. Scholarships were available but not well-promoted.

I am happy with my campus friends.
Placements: The campus is good with a good environment. Around 85-90% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Deloitte, and Capgemini.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in our college. It provides high-speed internet access throughout the campus including classrooms, labs, common areas, computer labs, and AIML data cloud computing labs. There are smart classrooms with projectors and sound systems. A good hostel facility is available. Rooms are well-ventilated and clean.
Faculty: Our faculty members are highly qualified. They are Ph.D. holders. They have significant experience in the academic. Their teaching methods combined theory and practical application ensuring conceptual clarity. The curriculum is updated regularly to align with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Other: I chose this course because athlete technology and problem-solving motivate me to personal computer science. The course offers diverse career opportunities in fields like software development, artificial intelligence, and data science. It aligns with my long-term goal of contributing to innovation in technology.

This college is famous for its events, and I assure you, taking admission is worth it!
Placements: Placements are good, and if we study well, it's easy to find a job. The package is about 18-20 lakh per annum in the third year. There are many internship opportunities that allow us to learn everything, and if we do well, we can become permanent employees there, which is great.
Infrastructure: The hostels are good, and the college infrastructure is very nice, featuring beautiful scenery with waterfalls. Facilities are provided in a well-mannered way, and the mess and canteen food tastes good. All types of sports are available, along with extracurricular activities. There is strong Wi-Fi all over the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable; they are friendly and clear up any doubts we have. The exams are not that difficult. There are unit tests and two main exams: in-sem and end-sem. The in-sem consists of 2 units, which have 15 marks per unit, and the end-sem consists of 70 marks.
Other: I chose this course because it is a core branch, allowing us to get jobs anywhere in the IT and computer sector. All the events and activities in this college are very nice.

Absolutely don't take admission in this college.
Placements: As the college says, the average package they give is 4.5 LPA, and the maximum package offered to a student is 28 LPA, but that is not true. In the last year of the B.E. program, they were unable to place a student; they couldn't even get 2-3 companies for core branches. They only focus on IT and computer branches.
Infrastructure: This college is outside the city, so you have options for rooms outside the campus, but for your convenience, you have to take a hostel and are compelled to use the college mess. College facilities are good; Wi-Fi and lab staff are also good for some subjects.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and basically qualified sufficiently, but as students, we say they are taking decisions for their convenience; they don't even look at how students will suffer from these decisions. They force students to give their internal exams; if you don't give them, they will try to cut your internal marks. Course curricula are not relevant to industry needs; they can't even place students. Semester exams are easy; they aren't strict at all. The passing percentage is 40%.
