Placements in 2019 have been good. This is an excellent college.
Placements: The placement cell of the college is very good. All the students participate in their first interview that is conducted by different multinational companies during their final year. It's very good for all the students. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and LTI etc., have visited the campus for placements. Many companies hire students from our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is not available in our college. However, the classrooms and labs are excellent. The medical facility is provided if there is an emergency. The college also organises an annual sports events. They also conduct cricket and football tournaments for the students to have fun. Our college also has a playground for all students.
Faculty: Our teachers are very good, highly qualified, and helpful. They solve all of our problems. They also provide both technical and live examples for the students to solve the problems easily. They always help us by giving upgraded technical information. They also help us to become a good employee in a company.
Other: Our college organises a technical fest which is held in the middle of the year. They also celebrate teachers day. Our campus is very good. The college also offers scholarships.

The college with a lot of stories and it is also the first private diploma college in West Bengal.
Placements: Placements were quite good as most of my classmates and seniors are placed in very well established organisations. They always gave a second chance to get another job, if you don't want to do the job, you can attend a lot of interviews, and you can choose among them.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is maintained well. We have updated classrooms, labs, and libraries with free Wi-Fi on the campus. There is 24*7 ambulance service on the college. We also have many hi-tech computer labs and a very pretty community hall. The magazine of the college is awesome and it is one of the fastest updated magazines.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are very good. They help every student a lot in his studies and personal life discussions. They help every person with their innovation too. They organize a lot of big competitions for gathering innovative ideas. WBSCTE maintains the course curriculum of the college.

You can join this college if you want to feel the engineering college.
Placements: The placements were not that good. Around 50 students got into TCS, 5 to 6 in L&T Infotech and 1 or 2 in some other company,
1 in Johnson control (from CSE). The placements overall in Kolkata were very bad
Our college did not do that great, but I would say it was still okay, the people who deserved got a job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay. The hostel is okay, not great. There are a football ground and a common room with the gym. Earlier, it did not have a TT board, a few carrom boards are available. The mechanical workshop is good. Classrooms were large and comfortable, but no A/C in classrooms. They have fans, well ventilated, overall, okay. Food in hostels are bad, but from others, I learn that their hostel served the worse food. So, okay, chalta hai. Other than this, nice tea stalls are there outside the campus, you can have a good time there.
Faculty: The faculty are not good. Few teachers were extremely bad, a person who is a bad human being can never be a teacher, it should be the first criteria I suppose. But, there were a few good teachers that's why the college has survived till this time.
Other: It hosts the tech fest of okay standards,
a football tournament and badminton tournament. Connectivity is only by train, or if you have a vehicle, it takes 2 hours from Howrah.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The placements in our college are not good, but it is not bad. After all, our college provides us much more campusing. I am not knowledgeable about the salary related issues, so I could not say anything about this. In placement issues, our department is lagging by many other departments.
Infrastructure: In our college, a free Wi-Fi for the students is unavailable. The labs, the classrooms, and the library are good and well-modified. Here, in our library, all types of subject related books are available. The hostel rooms are good and clean. Till now I didn't face any issues regarding the infrastructure.
Faculty: I am satisfied with the faculty members. They are helpful, well-educated, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is helpful to us. Our faculty teaches us by one to many conversation methods.

The faculty were awesome, the infrastructure is crap, the placements are average.
Placements: Talking about the placements, SMIT doesn't provide the great placements, but you can expect for the placements if you have passed with a CGPA of at least 7.5. There are some things that you need to know if you are taking the admission only for the placement purposes. They are: 1) Regarding diploma, the placements are better for the core branches. 2) Even SMIT gives more placements to the core branch students. 3) The placements are horrible for the computer science students. The average package offered to the mechanical and other core branches was Rs. 1.5 lacs per annum. If we are talking about company visits, then these are organized only on the main campus of the Techno India Salt lake. The companies like smile electronics and some others also visited the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is crap in SMIT. We can expect that the hostel foods can be bad, but SMIT takes it to the next level regarding the food quality. The food is too unhealthy and unhygienic. No Wi-Fi or medical facilities are available. Common rooms are available for some indoor sports, and a field is also available in front of the college where you can either play football or any other game. The quality of the labs is good, especially the computer science labs are awesome.
Faculty: The courses are designed according to the industry needs and approved by the West Bengal State Council Of Technical Education. No extracurricular activities happen in the college. I am from the computer science department. Talking about the faculty, CSE has some awesome members. Every faculty member of CSE is knowledgeable and helpful. Talking about the electronics faculty, you will find at least three to four good faculty members, but some of them aren't much help. The college organises two to three industry training every year for the third-year students.

Review of SMIT - Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology.
Placements: The placements are the best in our college. Many companies like Godrej, TATA, New Allenbery Works, Sarda Motor, Nirmal Wires, TCS, Accenture, etc., provide PPOs (pre-placement offers) to students in their final year. The average salary package is increasing every year. The lowest package offered is 2-3 lacs per annum. 85% is the placement percentage.
Infrastructure: Students can actively participate in any event. The facilities are provided where one can show their talents in any aspect. The management and faculty encourage and support students in any aspect, be it technical, non-technical, or cultural. The skills and activities of students can be improved, and they can develop all skills to be independent in the updating society.
Faculty: This is the best college I have ever seen because the staff members support students in every activity, and they encourage the students to participate in events. They also conduct webinars to create awareness of projects and workshops. The surroundings are pleasant, and our college has an ambulance for emergency use.
