Review of SMIT - Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology.
Placements: Out of 60 students, a minimum of 20 students got placed until now from our course. The highest salary package offered here was 8 LPA. Many top-rated companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, etc., visit here for placements. But the recruitment is very low this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in other years, they provided very good placements. But the student coordinator is not helpful at all, and he doesn't do anything and just forwards emails.
Infrastructure: The quality of the food served here is very low. However, other facilities are good like Wi-Fi and labs. Classrooms are very well maintained, and some equipment in the communication lab is outdated. However, the computer lab is well maintained. The bathroom in the lady's hostel is not good.
Faculty: All the computer science faculty members are very helpful, and also they are very highly qualified. HOD is very supportive and will help regarding any topics. But one or two teachers are a little rude. However, if you have patience, then they will also listen to your thoughts.

I have the best college life with good people, helpful teachers and great placements.
Placements: When I passed out from our college, the situation of the software market was not good, so I did not get placed. Some of our friends got placed. Recruiting companies were TCS, CTS, Accenture, etc. Maybe 30-35% of the students got an internship in computer science and engineering.
Infrastructure: The space of our campus is very big. There are 5 hostels, of which 3 for boys and two for girls. Classrooms are quite big, and there are separate buildings for labs and a library. There are two big playgrounds, of which one is for cricket and football, and another is for volleyball and badminton. There is a huge canteen, and the food is served for 24 hours. When I was passed out from this college, people have not used much Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, very polite and qualified also. They are able to solve a critical problem. Though it is a techno India college, it makes our CV highlighted. The best part is mechanical faculty members are awesome. You can learn proper things from here.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to become a computer science engineer. Every year a fest happens here for 2 days, and a tech-fest is also conducted.

I have a wonderful experience because of our teachers and campus.
Placements: Around 40% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Intel, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. In our course, top roles are offered in the research and development department. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. Around 30% of the students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Our college has a gym, a unisex canteen, labs for all departments and huge libraries with air-conditioners and biometric machine. The hostel has 4 buildings, and every building is allocated for every year students. They have one football ground and a badminton court. The quality of the food served is very good. The campus has 24x7 ambulance facilities.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, well qualified and much knowledge. Their teaching quality is good, and they all have assistant teachers. The course curriculum makes students conquer if they are capable of it. They make students ready for their respective industry so that they can do performance outstanding.
Other: I have chosen this course because ECE has above-average placements, and the best things about our course are digital machines and micro processing. The new syllabus has already been initiated. Our college organises events like Rabo Kart, PC assembly, quiz, etc., and also organises fest, which is our only best feeling. The campus is crowded. Our college has a Wi-Fi facility and walk-talky. The surrounding is fabulous with lights. DISC Scholarships have been -provided to students who deserve. Our college provides extracurricular activities like blood donation, health checkup camp, clean and green campaign, etc.

SMIT needs to work on its placements. Otherwise, it's a pretty good college.
Placements: Placement scenario of our college isn't that good. Previously, many IT companies visited here, but now gradually, this number has degraded a lot. In the year 2019, the highest salary package offered for CSE students was 3.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 1.0 LPA. TCS and CTS visit here for placements. Around 40% of the students got placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is neither too bad nor too good. Wi-Fi is available all over the college campus. We have a pretty huge library, and mostly we collect books from there. Classrooms are average. There is a huge ground in college for different types of sports. Our college has it's own canteen, but food quality is average.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are M.Tech qualified, and some are pursuing their PhD. They are very helpful and guide us in doing different projects. Only 2 out of 10 teachers aren't that helpful, but most of them are good enough. Now recently MAKAUT has updated its curriculum, so it's course is now more industry-relevant.
Other: I am pursuing B.Tech in CSE. I like computers and programming, so I have chosen this course. The college conducts 2 fests every year in March-April, which includes a cultural fest and another is tech fest.

The hostel has 4 buildings, each for an individual year with one football ground and badminton court. The quality of the food served in the canteen is very good. It has a 24x7 hours ambulance facility.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful with much-qualified knowledge. The teaching quality is good except for some assistant lab teachers. The course curriculum makes a student ready to conquer the world if the student is capable of it. It makes a student ready to go to the respective course industry.
Other: CSE has the highest placement rate. Improvement has already been made for the new syllabus. Many events with every year tech fest and cultural fest are conducted. The college has PMKVY (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojna).

I am satisfied with the faculty, infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: All the students from the 2019 batch got placed through the on-campus or off-campus drive. The campus drive for 2020 batch students is going on, and till now 25 students got placed. The highest salary package offered in our course is 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Amazon, Intel, Informatica, and ThoughtWorks visited our campus for placements. The top role offered in our coarse is a software development engineer. Many students got an internship form our college in companies like Intel, Infinite and in many companies through internshala.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms are in good conditions, and it is huge compared to the other college classrooms. The college provides free Wi-Fi facility throughout the campus. The library and reading room are available where students can read the books or can do some assignments, etc. Hostel facility is good, and especially the women's hostel is very good. Quality of the food in the canteen is good. Only first aid facility is available for medical purpose. An ambulance is also available for any emergency condition. Sports like cricket, football and other sports are conducted annually.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Especially in our stream teachers are very good. They are frank and highly knowledgeable in their domain. Their teaching quality is very good. Some of them use smart classes to teach students. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. I think if they include current technology, then it will be the best according to the industry culture though the students have to learn the current technologies in their companies.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am much passionate to be a software engineer. The best thing that I loved in our coarse is software coding. I think some subject should be swapped with the other current technologies. Events, fest, campus reconnect, and campus-related talks are conducted at our college. Scholarships are available at our college.
