Placements: Placements are good. A lot of good companies visited the campus like TCS, Ericsson and Wipro. Companies like TCS take students in bulk. But since it is an IT company, the roles it offers are more relevant to IT students. On an average, 70-80% students are able to bag a job from campus placements. The average package is around 3.5 - 4 LPA.

Placements: The placement is pretty decent. Almost 70-75% of students get placed on the campus. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, Ericsson etc visited the campus. The placements opportunities are better for IT and CS students. I got placed in TCS as an Assistant System Engineer. Roles are mostly IT-based and the average package is 3.5 LPA.

Placements: Various companies like Dell, Wells Fargo, Sprinklr, Intel, Wipro, Just Dial, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Byju's Think and Learn, Amazon, etc. come here for recruitment from different fields. The average package is 3.5 lpa. Lowest is 2.8 lpa. Maximum package offered is 12 lpa. Last year's placement percentage is 97%.

Placements: For mechanical, placements is a bit of a worry here. Only 20-30% of the eligible candidates got a job. Last year only 30 students of 105 eligible candidates got a job, of which very few got the opportunity to join the core sectors. Companies like Tata Cumming, Daikin TCS, Cognizant etc. mainly recruit the students.

Placements: In regards to placement in SMIT (Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology), many companies visit SMIT every year and this count is continuously increasing in the successive years. Major placed students are from the ECE and CSE departments (approx 98% placement from these two branches). Placements: The placement rate was approximately 80% for my batch. The CTC ranged from 3.05 to 8 LPA with 3 lakhs on an average. Companies like Cape Gemini, Tech Mahindra, Ericcson, Think & Learn, Dell, Wipro, Wells Fargo etc. visited the campus providing the roles of an associate software engineer, system engineer etc. Also, companies like Ixia, Wipro, Dell, Ericcson provided internships with a stipend ranging from 10k to 15k INR.

Placements: Placements for computer science, IT and electronics are good. Almost all the students of these branches got placed. Placements for core branches like mechanical and civil aren't that good. Most of the students are offered with IT jobs. A few of them got placed in core companies.

Placements: Sikkim Manipal despite being in a very remote location, has a good placement record with industry leaders such as Dell, Wells Fargo, Tech Mahindra, Ericsson, Capgemini, Think & Learn, Wipro being the top recruiters on-campus and companies like Zomato, Amazon, Thoughtworks and Zoojoo recruiting through the pool-campus with an average package of 4 LPA. Dell was the highest paying company with 8 LPA during the training period.

Placements: The placements for our batch was worse than our senior batch. TCS was the major recruiter with 3.25 L per annum salary and other companies like Wells Fargo and Sony came. In the batch junior to us Dell and Infosys also came and took a few students. Overall, the placement is on a decline for past few years but the reputation of college helps student to get jobs in off-campus as well.

It’s a beautiful college with serene environment and friendly people all around. The best way to groom your future and passion. Being a ex-student of SMIT I really feel proud to say I am a SMITIAN. The College is situated in Sikkim. The position is very peaceful for studies. Yes, it’s not in a happening place but Gangtok is nearby for weekend gateways. Now faculty is okay. There are a few teachers who teach really well. But it's a mixed bunch. Everyone is open to questions and doubts after class. Hostel is really good. The college have the best of renowned and dedicated faculty. The campus is in a beautiful small valley of the Teesta River. The college infrastructure was good with properly equipped labs for all streams. It is a NAAC accredited college with better than average faculty, with some of them excellent. The placements were very good with almost 250 people getting placed on the first day in 3 IT companies. Placements: The highest package offered is Rs 30 Lacs per annum, the average is Rs 10 lacks per annum and the lowest is Rs 3 Lacs per annum. The placement needs to be improved. Major companies recruiting are Accenture, Infosys, etc.

Placements: All the sixth-semester students are eligible for campus placements. In SMIT, placements are pretty good and are provided by top MNCs like Microsoft, Dell, Wipro, Mu Sigma and Daikin. The highest salary package offered for the 2019 batch was 18 LPA, and it was provided by Microsoft.

Placements: 80% of the students got placed. The highest package was around 10L per annum in 2019. Top recruiting companies were Microsoft, Shell, Dell, Wells Fargo, Robert Bosch, Infosys, Wipro & few others. 60% of students got internships from Shell, Dell, Well Fargo, Infosys.

Placements: I don't know what percentage of students from our course got placed, but few students were pursuing BCA during my tenure. I didn't opt for the IT job after completing BCA as I am not interested in doing a job in the IT sector. I don't even know IT companies.
