Founded in the year 1984 by Sri Saraswathi Vidyaprasarak Mandal, Smt. PK Kotecha Mahila Mahavidyalaya is based in Jalgaon District of Maharashtra. Affiliated to North Maharashtra University (NMU), Jalgaon, it is a grant-in-aid college which received UGC recognition under 2(f) in December 1988. It comprises of a nursery school, primary and secondary school and a Junior College.

This college offers a number of UG programmes in streams like Arts, Science and Commerce along with two PG programmes namely MA in Hindi and MCom, to name a few. Additionally, it offers eight certificate programmes and two diploma courses. It also comprises of four departments with individual specialisations like Humanities, Commerce and Management, Science and Physical Education.

Smt. PK Kotecha Mahila Mahavidyalaya admission 2020 for various courses are either based on merit or a Centralized Entrance Examination, or on the basis of Central Assessment Process performed by NMU Jalgaon, in line with the rules of Government of Maharashtra.

Admission eligibility of certain courses offered by this college is outlined below:

• Admissions to courses like BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MCom are given on first-come-first-serve-basis as per the rules of Government of Maharashtra, UGC and NMU Jalgaon
• Admissions to courses like MBM and BCA are given basis the Centralized Entrance Examination conducted by NMU Jalgaon in line with norms of Government of Maharashtra
• Admissions to courses like MSc Computer Science and MSc Organic Chemistry are given basis the Central Assessment Process conducted by NMU Jalgaon in line with norms of Government of Maharashtra
