    A:

Placement Cell Assistance for B.Sc. Students

Based on student reviews and testimonials, here's what we found:

    * Limited Placement Offers: Unfortunately, the placement cell at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College does not offer many placements for B.Sc. students, especially those pursuing Botany, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics Honours.
    * Commerce Stream Dominance: The placement cell seems to focus more on placing Commerce students, leaving other streams like Arts and Science behind.
    * Internship Fair: While the college organizes an annual internship fair, Anubhava, which attracts students from various colleges, these opportunities may not necessarily lead to permanent placements.
    * Training Provided: However, the placement cell, Ignite, offers training sessions to prepare students for interview processes and guide them through the placement process.
    * Companies Recruiting: Although the placement cell does invite companies, including IT giants like TCS, Wipro, and IBM, for on-campus selections, these opportunities seem limited for B.Sc. students.

Here's a summary of the key takeaways:

    * Limited placement offers for B.Sc. students
    * Focus on placing Commerce students
    * Annual internship fair, Anubhava
    * Training provided by the placement cell
    * Few companies recruiting for B.Sc. students

Satisfied with the college, good crowd.
Placements: The Placement Drive was smooth at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College. The placement cell, IGNITE, of our college works effortlessly to reach HR of various companies and is trying its best to increase the placement opportunities for the students. Most of the good companies visited for the students of B.Com (Hons) and B.Com (Prog.).
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. All rooms are equipped with air conditioners (ACs). Wi-Fi facility is provided by the college. But for the last month, neither Wi-Fi nor ACs have been working properly. Although our college is the only college with ACs in the classroom, they should work properly.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty of my department and overall of the college are very helpful. They are all well-qualified. Talking about syllabus coverage, in my course, the whole syllabus was completed by the end of the semester. Regular assignments and tests helped a lot.

College is superb with friendly environment and top notch teachers. I loved it.
Placements: 80 percent were placed in my batch. The highest package was 56 LPA, and the lowest was 12 LPA from my batch. KPMG, EY, ICICI, Wipro, etc. are the top recruiters. 80 percent of my batch got placed. Business analyst and marketing head are some of the top roles provided by companies visiting our college.
Infrastructure: Fully air-conditioned rooms, full ventilation, Wi-Fi available 24*7, a water purifier on each floor, and the best infrastructure on the North Campus of Delhi University are there. Top-notch canteen with everything available at cheap price, fresh and clean food, and cooperating staff .
Faculty: Yes, teachers there were helpful and well qualified; almost all teachers were Ph.D.s, and they provided us with top-notch knowledge. Yes, the course was helpful as it provided me with great learning. Yes, of course, make us industry-ready. Yes, semester exams are a bit tough but okay, we have to manage them.

The faculty is pretty good, almost dissatisfied with placements.
Placements: Around 20% students got placed last year in off campus placements other opt for higher studies. The average package offered was around 4 LPA according to our professors. We have a placement cell named Ignite which provides internships. The internships are mainly of marketing and HR so much CS students do not show interest.
Infrastructure: The Library is pretty good and there is lot of space for studying. The Wi-Fi is also available in the college campus. The classrooms I would rate below average because In classrooms there is no AC and around 90% do not have projector. Also the CS lab is not good there are old systems. So basically the infrastructure is below average. The hostel is pretty good. But at present only girls hostel is open.
Faculty: The faculty of CS is pretty good. Our professors are very knowledgeable. They have good experience in teaching. The problem lies with the curriculum I mean the curriculum focus much on theory than practical. If you want to do web development, app development, data analysis you have to gain these skills on your own. The curriculum do not provide much skills needed in industry. The semester exams are pretty easy you can pass just studying 2 day before the exam. The passing percentage is around 95%. .
Other: I have choose this course because When I was in class 12th I developed interset in coding so I thought that I can make career in this field. If DU include more practical component in this course it would be pretty good. There are plenty of societies in out college. Around every week there is some event or competition. The fest of the khalsa college is one of the biggest fest in DU. The connectivity is also good the vishwavidyalya and GTB Nagar metro station is at walking distance. The college has provided scholarships for student with not very good financial condition. Also the DU provide plenty of scholarships.

Review of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur college.
Placements: Placement in Khalsa College is average, like 50–80% of students get placed. The highest package is 8–12 lacs and the lowest package is 4-6 lacs. TCS, Wipro, ZS and Genpact are the top recruiting companies for CS in India. Software developers, data science and information security analysts are some of the top roles offered in CS.
Infrastructure: Facilities like transportation, food, water and a park for students are available at Khalsa College. The infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi is available for only faculty. Labs are well-equipped. Classrooms are okay. The library has course-related books for students. Sports and games are played as competitions sometimes.
Faculty: Teachers are always ready to help a student online or offline and all teachers are very qualified. All teachers have a doctorate degree or are pursuing a doctorate. Exams are hard but you can score good marks by studying through the textbooks. 40% is the passing mark. And these things make students ready for the industry.

Review of SGTB Khalsa College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Their is no great placements in physics but there is good environment of research as one can do 4 year programme by which one can get two dissertations which will help you for post graduation admission in India and abroad too. One can began his or her research career.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. The college is fully Wi-Fi and every classroom has AC. If I talk about Physics department we have two big lecture theatre of capacity about 150 students each and we have two big labs which contains all equipment with good condition which is necessary for learning Physics by practical. Currently college has only girls hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified as all of our professors are Ph.D. holders. They are very helpful and they always motivate and help students to do research in Physics. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is good as students also study python and by doing 4 year programme, you will get dissertations which will help you. We don't have difficult exams by regular studies.

Pros and cons of North Campus:
Placements: Mostly 30% to 40% of students get placed through our college placement cell. The highest recorded salary is 23 Lacs per annum, and the lowest is around 1 to 1.5 Lacs per annum. The average package offered is 3-4 Lacs per annum. Companies like Infosys, Tata, and occasionally Microsoft and Google hire from our college. 60% of students secure internships in startup companies and some well-known companies. Data science and data analysis are popular career paths.
Infrastructure: Classes are basic and not very well developed. Wi-Fi is available but with inconsistent speed, and the labs have good laptops. Overall, the facilities are average. Hostels are mediocre; meals are sometimes good, sometimes average. There is a nurse in our hostel, but sports and games facilities are lacking.
Faculty: Some teachers are highly skilled, while others are average. Overall, teachers are good and helpful. The emphasis is more on theoretical knowledge; practical implementation is lacking. Semester exams are not very difficult; you can pass with an overall score of 40%.
Other: I am interested in coding, so I chose B.Sc. (Hons) Mathematics and B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science. Practical-oriented courses would be preferable. Every year, our college organizes an annual fest that attracts many students. Being in North Campus, the crowd is intellectual, and competition is high. Scholarships are available for underprivileged students. Sports facilities are decent overall.
