One of the Best institution for placements in Coimbatore.

Placements: SREC offers slightly above average placements, with above 70% of students placed every year. Especially in CSE and IT, there are various IT placement opportunities. The highest salary offered last year was 15 LPA, and overall 27 LPA by Amazon, with the lowest salary being 3.5 LPA offered by Cognizant Technologies. Top companies recruiting from our college include Mahindra, Mercedes-Benz, HCL, Soliton, Amazon, ZOHO, and others. Here, 75% of students got internships in their 3rd year based on tier...

Absolutely dissatisfied with the faculty members .

Placements: Earlier placements were good. Last year, there were totally around 1040 offers in the entire institution in IT, and around 108 students were placed. But this year placements are too poor, like the total offers obtained are not even around 350 in IT, which is around 50. Companies say that students do not have the necessary skill set to get placed. So the management is trying to improve it by starting the placement classes in the second year itself. I hope they tackle this and bring back their rep...

Dissatisfied with faculty and mess food.

Placements: Placement is still going on so there is not an exact figure but the percentage of the placed student is very low compared to other batches. Mostly due to careless of students in online classes. The average package is 5 LPA. The highest is 8.5 LPA and the lowest is 3.4 LPA.

No good faculty, no proper placement, just a brand name with no benefits.

Placements: The college offers money to the companies to visit our college for placements. Big companies will visit our campus, but they don't recruit anyone. Only 25% of the students got a job. Even if you get a job, they just take for namesake and kick you out after training. The maximum software companies are coming to the EEE department. Placement training is provided only for coding.

Sufficient facilities and infrastructure are available in college. Satisfied with the placements.

Placements: We have a separate department named CDPD (Career Development and Placement Division) for the placement activities. They are working very well to provide placements. Around 10 faculty members are working for CDPD. The placement training includes aptitude, reasoning, mental and verbal ability and data interpretation concepts. From the department of mechanical engineering, our seniors got placed in well-established companies like L&T Technology Services, ELGI, LMW (Lakshmi Machine Works), Craftsman...

The infrastructure is good, but the placements are poor.

Placements: No companies visit the college for hiring biomedical engineering students. There are placements only for IT and EEE field. Very few students got placed in some companies. Every semester from the second year to final year, students have to pay the placement fee, and that is around Rs. 8,500. Overall, I'm happy with the college.

We have to gain knowledge on our own.

Placements: The placements are quite good for circuit branches, but not for mechanical engineering students. IT-based companies have recruited people, but it'll take one year for getting the call letter. Salary provided to placed students is not good. A maximum of Rs. 30,000 per month is offered in some random cases, and mostly Rs. 10,000 per month is the maximum salary offered.

Good placements and staff

Placements: The placements are good when compared to the last batch. There are about 100+ companies that visit our campus for the recruitment. The average salary would be 3.5 LPA. The roles offered to us would be a developer, tester, and business analyst.

Placements: Highest package is 4.5 lakhs and the lowest packages was around 2.5 lakhs. Companies like Zoho, CTS, Wipro, Infosys, Infoview and L&T Infotech. Roles of trainee for software were provided. Internship facility was provided and if you play good in your internship, you may get a job too.

No exposure at all, all they want is results and a placement record. They don’t think about students’ life, their interest is particularly in IT department. They create no interest in programming which in turn is the life of IT people. I heard that some other departments are good enough. But in my opinion, I learnt nothing from the college from career perspective.

It is an autonomous college with 20 years of strong foundation in education field. There are so much opportunities to be utilized from the college. The college cannot be rated as a whole, but based on departments. Some departments would have good faculty but some have the worst faculty and no proper guidance is given.

It is one of the best college in Coimbatore. If you really like engineering then go ahead. College is situated in a place where you don’t get any disturbance. Hostel facilities are good. Mainly focused on IT based Company for placement. Should invite more core companies in the campus recruitment.

It is the best college for students whose financial status is average or below average. Placements are good but not for all. Infrastructure is average and very good faculty members to guide throughout college life. Coming to college, location, its interior part of some village so no good road facility. But I would recommend this college because it is good for all poor students and has a good name for its placements too. Overall, it is an average college.

We are happy for getting good staffs members for our studies.

Placements: It is very difficult to get placed in a core company. If we solve the problems technically, then we can get selected or else we don't get jobs. Students should score 8.0 CGPA to eligible for placements. The highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Students who score more than 8.5 CGPA can get internships.

Good placements in 2015. A lot of good and well-educated staff members. Good placements.

Placements: Students got placed well. A lot of companies visited our college for placements. It is very good to study at that college. A lot of reputed companies visited, and lots of students got placed. Mostly IT companies visited our campus for placements. The best IT companies and some core companies offered placements to a lot of students.
