Is MBA/PGDM at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) Tirupati worth the investment?

    Pros:

    * High-quality faculty with good teaching skills
    * Well-equipped infrastructure, including digital libraries and state-of-the-art labs
    * Good placement records, with top companies visiting the campus
    * Variety of extracurricular activities and events organized by the college
    * Student-friendly atmosphere, with helpful staff and faculty
    * Good hostel facilities, with clean rooms and regular cleaning services

    Cons:

    * Limited practical knowledge in the course curriculum
    * Focus on marks and ranks may lead to inadequate emphasis on real-world learning
    * Strict rules and regulations, which may limit student autonomy
    * Few internship opportunities, although students are allowed to pursue them independently

    Placement Records:

    * Around 95% of students get internships in companies
    * Over 80% of students get placed in top recruiting companies, with salaries ranging from 1.2 LPA to 4.75 LPA

    Conclusion:
While SVCE Tirupati offers a good educational experience, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons before investing in an MBA/PGDM programme here. While the college excels in terms of infrastructure, faculty, and placement records, it falls short in providing adequate practical training and flexibility. However, for those seeking a structured education with strong theoretical foundations, SVCE Tirupati could be a worthwhile choice.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for MBA/PGDM programs at SVCE Tirupati?

    A:
    {Source: MBA/PGDM students & alumni}

Effectiveness of Placement Cell for MBA/PGDM Programs at SVCE Tirupati

Based on the reviews from students and alumni, the placement cell for MBA/PGDM programs at SVCE Tirupati seems to be effective in several ways:

    * Industrial Visits: Students mentioned that the faculty encourages them to attend at least one industrial visit during their tenure at the college. This helps students gain practical experience and exposure to real-world industries.

    * Entrepreneurship Support: The principal offers opportunities for students to pursue entrepreneurship projects and sanctions grants for such initiatives.

Here's what some students had to say:

    * "And principal will give all the chances to do some entrepreneur programs and he will sanction some grants to do some activities."
    * "Faculty guides you throughout the course."

While there isn't extensive feedback specifically about the placement cell, these mentions suggest that the college does prioritize career development and entrepreneurial endeavors among its MBA/PGDM students. However, more reviews would be necessary to fully assess the effectiveness of the placement cell.

    I'm satisfied with placements.
Placements: Placements at our college were very high. Top companies recruited students from our college. The roles offered were associate engineer and associate. The salary package offered was above 5 LPA. Around 95% of students got internships in companies. Around 90% of students got placed in top recruiting companies
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was very good. Our college was surrounded by trees. The campus environment was good. Classrooms were cleaned thrice a day. Canteen served hygienic food. Medical room was available with a nurse. Sports were conducted once a week. Our college provided 1GB Wi-Fi regularly.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was very good. Students were strictly prohibited to bring mobile phones to classrooms. Exams were conducted strictly and students were debarred for the whole semester for any malpractice.
Other: I chose this course because I'm fascinated by management in life and studies. Extracurricular activities like freshers' day and annual day were celebrated grandly in our college. Youth fest was organised recently.

The college is recommended for B. Tech students and not for MBA.
Placements: For B. Tech courses, the placement opportunities are higher whereas MBA people have very less opportunities there. The review will be edited if they provide good opportunities for our batch. No internship opportunities are provided by them but they'll allow you to do internships.
Infrastructure: For college infrastructure, I'll definitely give 5 stars but for the hostel, it is 3. On average, I gave 4 stars. For facilities and infrastructure, I'll definitely give 5 stars for labs and library. Sports and games are also conducted and they'll be a little partial to B.Tech students in PET classes.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are highly skilled and knowledgeable but few are not. So I am giving it 4 stars. For curriculum and pass percentage, I'll give 5 stars. The semester exams are easy to moderate. Faculty guides you throughout the course. For every 10 students, one mentor is allotted throughout the course for any queries.
Other: As far as I know, this college is known for its events and fest. But for the past two years even after the pandemic, they did no events and still quibbling about the COVID-19 days when we ask. There is always special treatment for B.Tech students as it is an engineering college which might be quite common.

The college provides good placements, and it has better infrastructure.
Placements: 80% of students got placed. Amarraja, Airtel, Capgemini, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, Muthoot Finance, etc., came here. HR, marketing, and finance are the courses offered in our college. B.Tech in EEE, ECE, CSE, IT, mechanical, computer science, and master of computer applications are also present.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and digital library are available. The college infrastructure is very good. The faculty are very friendly with students. Lots of events are conducted here. Good food is provided. Hygiene is maintained in the hostel. Rooms are cleaned daily, and a friendly atmosphere is present in the hostel.
Faculty: The faculty are knowledgeable. They are well-qualified and clear every doubt of students. Mid-exams are conducted. The teaching quality is very good. You can explore lots of things in the industry. Exams are not much difficult, but students can learn anything easily and quickly.
Other: I can communicate easily. The course is very good.

Great to learn with Fun ....
Placements: Student got placed in many MNC companies like wipro, Infosys and capgemeni etc. Too many had placed as interns in many companies for a particular period of time, later they taken over to their respective fields only. Stipend will provide by the companies.
Infrastructure: Mobile phones are prohibited under college premises, labs, classroom and library are awesome, they will conduct sports with the tournament called KYB-SVCE cup for cricket. And we have e-class room to learn and PPT will be given to student so, they can exhibit their talents on their own.
Faculty: Faculty having good interaction with students l and student too, make sure student must visit atleast one industrial visit from college. And principal will give all the chances to do some entrepreneur programs and he will sanction some grants to do some activities.
Other: As I done my B.Com I'm looking for best college to do Masters near my place, it's great place to learn.

The college treats all students as children but not as matured students.
Placements: Placements in our college are quite good. Some companies visit our campus for placements. Only a few students got selected from our course, and remaining students got placed from other courses. In that year, hardly three companies visited, and the position they offered was not that much good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was good. The building of our college attracts students and parents who visit our college. It provides a good hostel facility for both boys and girls. They treat as school students not like matured students as it puts strict rules.
Faculty: The course curriculum is good, but it lacks practical knowledge. Our college always focuses on marks. They decide the knowledge of students by their marks and ranks, but it is not true. Only a few faculty members are PhD holders while remaining all teachers are doing jobs with low salaries, and they do not have skills.

Infrastructure: Our college has a very good infrastructure. We have spacious classrooms with projector facilities. We have a digital library and central library with the most updated books. We have a number of labs to learn technical skills. There is an excellent auditorium with a modern look. There is a spacious ground to conduct cultural programmes, and another ground for parking buses.
Faculty: The college provides qualified and experienced lecturers with very good teaching skills. They help us in understanding of the subject in a better way. They help us in clarifying our doubts at any time. The faculty to students ratio is 1:15. They teach us in a practical manner which will help us to understand better.
