SSN College of Engineering - The best College in Tamil Nadu.
Placements: Placements for CSE and IT in SSN College of Engineering is very nice. The average package is around 10 Lacs. The highest salary is Rs 1.12 crores per annum, by MotorQ company. The lowest salary is 3 lakhs per annum. Usually, most of the students get placed in the company they intern with.
Infrastructure: The facilities available in SSN College of Engineering are great. We can access the library daily. The library is very good. The infrastructure of the college is very good. The campus has good Wi-Fi facilities. The lab is good. Classrooms are very nice. Mess food is average, but Rishabs and canteen food is very good. Best food ever tasted. Value for money. Sports facilities are very nice. We also have a good GYM.
Faculty: All the teachers here are so friendly till now. The curriculum is good and updated. It makes industry-ready engineers. Semester exams are good. Two assessment exams called CAT 1, 2 are held once in a semester. All the teachers here are Ph.D. holders from IIT Madras and Anna University.
Other: The B.E. CSE curriculum is good here. The highest placement here is Rs 1.12 crore, which is also from the CSE department. Invente is a technical event, and Instincts is a cultural non-technical event conducted once in a year in our college. Campus crowd is very limited when compared to other colleges. Many scholarships are given by the college. Campus life is very good.

Perks of SSN College of Engineering.
Placements: Almost all the students from our department who got placed remaining are doing their higher education. Five of our students got placed in a major core company called Caterpillar, and a few of them made wood. The highest package offered by the core company is 12 LPA, and other companies also recruit from our department, including MotorQ and Amazon. Most of the students try getting internships on their own, and our college CDC makes sure everyone is doing their internship.
Infrastructure: We have a good infrastructure in terms of hostels. We have 9 hostels with different kinds of rooms, and all the hostels are provided with Wi-Fi. There is a hospital inside the campus, and all the hosts can access it without any hesitation. When it comes to mess, we have two kinds of mess. One is called Premium Mess, which serves variety food items, and the other is called Normal Mess; this is the one most of the students are enrolled in. The food dishes served here are minimal, but they almost cover all the required vitamins and minerals. All the mess includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner. Monthly once we get to have fest.
Faculty: Yes, the faculty members here are just awesome. Every staff member is highly qualified, and most are likely to be involved in publishing papers, and some have their own patent. They often do projects by having their students in their team. Since it's an autonomous college, we have a syllabus that strengthens our base. We have an atmosphere that encourages students to do projects based on their interests. When it comes to semester, it's pretty hard, and it challenges your basic understanding and problem-solving skills. Pass percentages vary based on subjects, and the pass percentage is always way higher than the fail percentage.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because of my interest in machines, and later it turned towards aeronautical. Mechanical in SSN is good, and staffs are good. The only thing that matters is your interest. We have various events happening around the academic year, and the main is the cultural event called Instincts, which happens for 3 days.

Faculty is good approachable hostel food is bad even for premium mess food cost high.
Placements: Placement here is good compared to other competing self-financing private institutions. MotorQ offers a 1.1 CPA, which is the highest in the college. HCL is also one of the leading companies. The average placement is from 6-8 LPA. About 60-70% of students get their internships.
Infrastructure: SSN is one of the popular colleges known for its infrastructure. However, as an SSNite, I can give you a clear review. The hostel for 1st-year students is well-maintained, but for 2nd-year students, the story is different. They convert 3-sharing rooms to 4-sharing due to a shortage of hostel space caused by the introduction of SNU Law.
Faculty: The faculty here are very good and approachable. As for CSE depth, my teachers are better than those in other colleges. I think my course outcomes are very good. The semester exams are a little tough, but CAT is okay. However, teachers don’t always give good marks; they seem to grade based on their mood.
Other: I am passionate about CSE, so I chose it. The only thing I think could be improved is arranging better bus facilities for hostel students. Although it’s available, they charge for it. If hostelers could use the day scholar bus without extra charges, it would be better. The Wi-Fi is good here.

A college you don't want to miss.
Placements: Almost all students were placed, except for those who had standing arrears or a history of arrears. The top recruiting companies were Fidelity and Citibank. The highest package was from Motorq at 1.2 crores, and the lowest was around 6.5 LPA. The average salary was around 9 lakhs per annum.
Infrastructure: SSN College of Engineering has pretty good college Wi-Fi, but it has lots of restrictions. The teachers are very knowledgeable and can help you with projects. The library is a pleasant place to study and relax. The mess is below average, but the canteens are good. The college has top-class infrastructure for sports like football, cricket, badminton, and basketball.
Faculty: The curriculum at SSN College of Engineering covers all the fundamentals that we need to survive in the industry. However, it's up to us to make good use of the resources and learn the material thoroughly. The semester exams are not easy and not predictable, but if we study hard for the internals, we can pass them.

Review of SSN College of Engineering.
Placements: About 100% of the students get placed in my course. The highest package offered to my super seniors was 18 LPA, with an average of 7 LPA and the lowest of 3.5 LPA. For internships, about 5-10% of the students get placed. Top roles offered are SD roles. The companies that come for placements are Deshaw. Co., Fidelity, and City Bank.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available in my department is great, with complete Wi-Fi available to do our college work. They have great labs and many research labs where students can accompany faculty members in those projects. SSN is one of the colleges where 5G labs are present.
Faculty: All the faculty members who teach here are Ph.D. holders and have in-depth knowledge of what they teach. They have a clear idea about where this topic in the curriculum will be used in a real-world scenario. The course curriculum relevance is based on the Anna University syllabus.
Other: If a student wants to pursue a pure technical role in their placements, then they must go with the IT or CSE department. As they will study in detail about programming languages when compared to other departments.

Review of SSN College of Engineering.
Placements: Placements are really good, and students are encouraged throughout their entire journey in college life. Companies that visit the college offer excellent opportunities to the students. Also, the package for each job is really competitive and worthwhile. If you have knowledge and are ready to gain new skills, the college will really support you in landing your dream job.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure—the labs, classrooms, library, and even common areas like the canteen and walking paths—everything is maintained regularly. Each lab is equipped with features corresponding to its name. Additionally, the entire campus has a very good Wi-Fi connection.
Faculty: About the faculty, they are really very kind, knowledgeable, and experienced in their field. They genuinely want the students to have a bright future. Each student will have a separate mentor to whom they can turn for solutions to their problems. Additionally, the mentors motivate the students and assist them in every aspect of their journey.
