Absolutely loved this college.
Placements: As a student of St. Joseph's pursuing Journalism and Sociology, I'd say the placement scenario is quite promising, though it varies by individual performance and networking. About 70-80% of students in Journalism secure internships, while Sociology internships tend to be fewer. The highest package range around 6-7 LPA, with the lowest being 2-3 LPA, and an average of 3.5-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies include media houses like Times of India, The Hindu, and non-profit like CRY and Teach for India. Common job roles offered are content writers, social media manager, and research associate. Internships are often offered by organizations like NDTV, News18, and smaller NGOs.
Infrastructure: As a student of St. Joseph? S College, pursuing Journalism and Sociology, I found the facilities to be well-maintained. The Wi-Fi on campus is reliable, supporting research and online work. The classrooms are equipped with projectors, and the media labs are modern, aiding practical learning. The library has a vast collection of books and journals, ideal for academic exploration. Hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms and adequate amenities. The mess food is average but nutritious, and the canteen offers a variety of snacks. Sports facilities are decent, and the medical center provides basic health care, ensuring overall student well-being.
Faculty: You need to have 75% attendance to be able to give exams papers are tough but they prepare you for what is upcoming. The professors are amazing always willing to help the studenfs. The professors are industry experts so they give you an insight on how the industry functions.
Other: The campus was good had a vibrant atmosphere and hill crowd .
